  • A 5 minute audio extract from a quarter peal of Plain Bob Major on this very grand, heavy Somerset octave. They are a mixture of founders, retuned and augmented to eight by Taylor's in 1907; the 7th was recast in 1902 by Taylor's. They are a truly stunning ring, loud, boomy and powerful.
The ringing is slightly ropey in the recording, but there were some less experienced ringers in the band.

The 7th is a prime bell. It stands from the others and has a deep and sonorous boom to it! Lovely recording!

Very nice 🙂 I spent about 3 months working on the church about 20 years ago.
