Hey Imogen, As a guy I'm so proud of everything that your doing, you are sooo strong, keep it up. I was just curious about the thing you said about the trauma? Do you think you could maybe link the video about what happened and or briefly peak on what happened? If not all gooods. Amazing video though

I have had similar experiences twice in my life... I truly love fitness, felt like I was eating intuitively, felt great about my body for the first time ever, but hadn't had a period for years. And was absolutely terrified of gaining enough weight to get it back because I felt comfortable where I was. I'm still working on recovery but I remember getting my anorexia diagnoses and feeling like it was a huge slap in the face. Just remember this life is hopefully long term and if you want to reach your goals, the sooner you embark on this journey the longer you get to reap the benefits and flourish into your highest self💞

So great that you’re getting medical advice! Seeing someone is so useful, you should for sure follow up on the mental health plan by doing therapy and/or psychology. It is really hard to get better by yourself and we are extremely fortunate to have access to these resources in Aus for really low costs. You’re doing so well, I promise that being at a higher weight will make you feel so much better physically and mentally, but it’s not a linear path, it really is a long process so you need to have some people to push you along. You’re great, keep it up! And so good that you are posting all this stuff for others, it’s hard but so beneficial for others.

I relate so much to what you say about wanting to run fast and run a pb again. I have a little book with all of my times in it and the times got quicker and quicker and then slowly got slower and slower until I felt so frustrated that I didn't write anything else down. I'm so scared of regressing and sometimes I feel so hopeless. I'm so so so much better mentally and I'm eating better now but my period still hasn't came back after three years and I'm sitting watching this video with a stress fracture and haven't been able to run in weeks 😔 I'm really scared of getting osteoporosis and as much as periods are uncomfortable and feel horrible, I know I need to get it back. I can tell you've got such a strong mindset and I'm confident we can both do this!! Sending love 💖

Everything got so much better for me when I got back to a healthy weight and the funny thing is, I like myself more than I did when I was at my lowest weight since my eyes and brain just adjusted and got used to seeing what a healthy-looking body looks like. Thank you so much for keeping us updated on your recovery and I'm sure that someone as determined as you can do it!

i definitely understand where you're coming from - going against your intuition and instincts and "natural hunger cues" is scary. but you have to realize that your natural hunger cues have been ruined and messed up by your eating disorder.
something that helped me make myself even when i wasn't hungry was that i am in a completely different place than anyone else. even tho everyone around you can eat intuitively, you cannot because you are in a different place right now. you cannot compare your chapter 7 to someone else's chapter 9. you got this - after eating more regularly (my plan was eating ever 2-3 hours), i restored my hunger cues and now when i eat intuitively, i can eat close to an amount where i am fuelling my body properly. there are obviously still days where following how much i'm supposed to be eating makes me feel so so stuffed (& then i have a breakdown cause i think im overeating) but i have to keep telling myself that i am in a different place and i have to be doing this for my future self.
    lots of love bb

i use to have anorexia and have been eating every 2-3 hours as well for the past year ish but my hunger and fullness cues ares till non existent. i never feel hungry and i don’t feel fullness after eating.....i feel neutral 24/7. i heard it may take a few years for my cues to restore 😭

Hey, proud of you for reaching out for help, and I know you are not trying to trigger anyone, but mention of weight, height and even how much you need to gain, can be harmful to people (and it also can make people compare their weight, when eating disorders are a mental illness rather than the perception you have to look a certain way). If you need more information around what is safe, helpful and harmful language around eating disorders, this is a nice easy guide: www.nationaleatingdisorders.org/sites/default/files/GivingSafePresentationsFINAL.pdf

If you are "really really sorry" why don't you take the previous video down? It is inappropriate to publish this content in the first place, but absolutely unacceptable to continue to have it publicly available when you have been called in to do better and acknowledged yourself that it is harmful. Please remove this content so that it does not continue to do harm.

I am torn about this. I see where you are coming from but it reminds me of George Orwell's famous quote, "Oceania had always been at war with Eastasia". Where they just altered history and change it suddenly and expect everyone to just accept it. I feel like just adding an update in the details, and linking to this video and public health numbers would be more appropriate.
I feel like one of the biggest reasons these issues seep into our society is because no one acknowledges it and once they overcome it they delete and remove any mention/relation to it. Then when another kid tries to follow in the footsteps of someone they look up to they never realize there was a problem there until it is too late.
