Suzie B lol 1st WD we went was 9t4. Jay always pulled off a do @ Lydd eh? I danced @ Desire for Phil & Mick, under Fido couple of times. Good old ravin days ;)
Big up the World Dance bomber jacket. Whether it was ponytails, bald heads, high top fades, curtains, French crops, dreadlocks, plaits braids, all kinds of hairstyles everyone was having a good time together, dancing their feet off all throughout the night. Good times and good memories that stay with us forever. Big up all my raving family!!
The amount of sets and events from the 90s that were legendary is insane. So much variation and every year it changed massively. I'd do anything to experience that time and that means people of that time. It just wouldn't be the same now no matter how much you tried. I'm 28 so born 94 and missed the 88-93 period :(
@dj Blondie any footage from then is class. Also the skill of the dj mixing in front of everyone even if they were mostly off their tits! Haha. This and raindance 1990 and sunrise 1989. Are my faves and if you went to those I would be very jealous

Not sure if it was 93/4 I went but hey it was Epic ,if you're out there Big up the lighting/ sound guy who went & got me the pass, went out his way well beyond his Duty & came back & took me up to the lighting deck & computer bit & showed me the set up ,awesome as it was my 1st ever Rave ,never forget it & he'd just dropped an E this was about 5-6 am & we were buzzing 😁😁😁,absolute class time ,54 now & will remember that night forever, timeless & such a class act from the guy ,will always appreciate his time ( we had a blast the last hour or so absolutely mangled 🤣🤣🤣🤣❤️

We met up Thursday night in Soho. Now having left college, some succeeding some (me) trying to be artists, and as we got more lagered up, realised that none of us had actually been to a BIG rave. By the Saturday we were in it on it and grinning our faces off! Mad to find this after so long- I didn’t imagine it- it was f’ing amazing. Heavy search on the way in, Recall many had their pills sold back to them inside. 😂Yes people. ✨💚💜🤍
Man... oh man! Nuff respect for the.... baaaad.... booooy... Mr. Mickey Finn!...... Think this is about the 5th time over in like 3 weeks... so cool man, look how quick this geezers working... flowing man... not skipping a beat... building it up, tearing it out... serious respect... much love for this!
I remember this like yesterday. Girlfriend wearing purple camo jeans, lighter hanging round neck. CAT boots, Eyes as black as Panda's. Totally blown away and the volume in those doors.

Went to a few World Dances at Lydd. Still for the life of me have no clue how I got there and back!! 😂 I do however remember getting the train to Hastings Pier on my own and going to a few there!
I was 17 years old, all the 93/94/95 parties at Lydd WD were super special, after 95 the cocaine took hold and people started getting robbed etc, Coke killed Raving and that's a fact.
Same age fella and your bang on!!! When the sniff arrived it all became about nightclubs, looking smart , lookin ard and woman!!! The rave days were care free and 100% about the music and the rush!!!
Remember going there with my mate dave henby, we got absolutely messie after dropping 3 1/2 mitsubishi’s each then straight on the ol’ pub grub nose candy, we bumped into Darren day and he spent the night telling us about his masterplan to kidnap then frame Phillip Schofield for cocaine trafficking because schofield had secured the lead role in joseph and his technicolour dream coat in the west end, a part Dazza had wanted since he was a child, Dazza had already managed to purchase a snubnose 9mm revolver from one of Nigel Benn’s security team, he also had 1/2 a kilo of uncut peruvian coke which he planned to hide in schofields toyota mr2 on his debut night in the west end, anyway things didn’t go to plan, after the rave a group of about 20 of us all went round to dazzas and ended up snorting our way through the 1/2 kilo in about 4 days. Eventually we had to get wolf from gladiators to take Dazza to the priory after he had a psychotic episode and told us he was telepathically receiving instructions from Matthew Kelly teling him to murder timmy mallet with a space hopper in order to save the world from climate change.
Still to this day I maintain that the very first was my Favourite! Kings Hall Herne Bay Summer 1992 I think! Did not know what to expect, but absolutely brilliant night! Danced all night and most of the next day too!!!!
+Swift Cee sadly I'm part of the era since I was born on this exact year, admittedly I've recorded DJs a few times with my phone but as of recent I've started noticing that I was becoming part of the problem, realistically speaking the occasional camera person in a crowd isn't a bad thing, it only becomes a problem when bloody everyone in the crowd is filming, hence why I think they should make no phones allowed gigs and just have the venue hire a camera guy.
I had a crazy night at world dance I had 2 golden planets and I was tripping proper with the light show and those dancing dragons man they were the days
Jungle techno I still listen to it brings back the memory's alot of this stuff needs remastered I definitely think there would be a place for a revival of this type of music today.
World Dance, Dreamscape and Helter Skelter were the best raves. For purely Jungle Telepathy and One Nation... Oh and Hysteria and Pure X. Damn those were the days for going out.....oh and not forgetting United Dance.....and Desire... Everytime I think of another one i need to come back here and edit this post.... Elevation too!!!!
Don’t you just love GQ. A reassuring voice, expressing the vibe every time. On a par with David Attenborough for tone and timing…. No I have not lost it with that comment!……roll da beats… oh forgot to add how many times I had a thought that the old bill were listening through the grates when you went for a pee in those portaloos! They were a bit of a sanctuary in the strangest way. Happy days.
WTF ... apologies if you whiffed the skunk fug from my lot...we were always in the back left corner whatever the stage setup. And tended to pollute a fifty yard radius. Funny to look back at it now. Would be asleep for a month if I touched that sh#t now! Bloody great raves though. The car park after was always a hilarious time what with all the faces pulled by those who partook (maybe a bit too much) in the old disco biscuits. Mainly remember the unified feeling that everyone was there for a good time. Special times. Mini bus full of loons from Hertfordshire to the mighty Lydd.
I nicked my dad's escort work van and crashed on m20 coming home security advised me not to drive in the state I was in and to wait till da doves wore off eyes roling jaw wobbling and I didn't listen to good advice all I remember is pulling out of lydd next thing I'm looking at my pal all nail and bits in his hair upside down I think we crashed I said wot a understatement dad wasn't pleased me roling his work van still what a night

No beer monsters either.... 🍄🕉💊 👌🏻
I had a crazy night at world dance I had 2 golden planets and I was tripping proper with the light show and those dancing dragons man they were the days
Jungle techno I still listen to it brings back the memory's alot of this stuff needs remastered I definitely think there would be a place for a revival of this type of music today.
never went away for me- still go to distant planet events in london
so this is what was happening on the year I was born! 90s sure looked like a fun time
Ben Knight gosh you missed out sonny
It was😀
They were!!
They were fun 😁 I was there! Best times.
48 mins has to be the most critical tune of the crossover period..
GrimeGenie ... Elevation(s) (at The Roller) were wicked do's eh
AWOL
MrGaragenation solid...I used to go to Vivid on the Fridays
@@stevenchampion8137 went to vivid at paradise a lot.never went to awol.
Happy days.
It's 4 o'clock in the morning and it's starting to get light..
Time to pop another pill🤪
19:00 One of the best tracks ever. Orca - 4AM
Those were the days ,i would have been 16 at the time .i remember i had a fantazia tape and played it non stop .
I still remember the smell of weed everywhere, the sound of bass. And that yucky feeling of drinking too much water. Lol. Best raves
WTF ... apologies if you whiffed the skunk fug from my lot...we were always in the back left corner whatever the stage setup.

I searched for some of these tunes for years after being at this rave 😆
that soundsystem set up looks phat!! wish I could go back to the 90's. Nearly every girl back then had perm haircuts lol. that venue looks amazing!!!
mac salvor ... system was good...not always sounding quite as loud as the 100k (but they’d warm it up thru the night), but it was still solid.
Loads of tidy women in there mate. All with a friendly attitude.
Best nights were at the Lydd boss
And the blokes had curtains!
Long hair - Skinny as fuck- always looked liked death warmed up even after 2 weeks in Ibiza! 1990s what a great era! Big up Orange / World Dance family! Peace
This is where I celebrated my 21st birthday best night
Lord of the Null Lines....they played that about 5 times that night. Brilliant. Also the first time I heard Bukem's 'Music' that night.
That was the tune that was in my head throughout the next day.
oh man, i wish i could have been raving back then
You been raving on E’s for 18 years... you must be fucked up

Im watching and smiling . so many great memories .
Thank you for the memories, so many great nights at paradise club , mos, wd, astoria etc , still mixing it up in the attic at 50 😂
@@thomaslongmore4404 the best times eh. I played for Pure Science and other clubs in the 90s, but had to stop about 2002 due to another career, but still mix in my loft/DJ room too 🎧
They really were the best times weren’t they and so proud to have grown up during the golden era of World Dance & AWOL
Yes Paul , never to be repeated I am afraid, working all week to live for that weekend buzz in the clubs , would like the long dark tunnel to be played at my funeral 😂, mainly playing tech house now days the amount of samples they use today from back in the day always make me smile , it’s pretty much the vibe and speed from about 1990 I think , love it 😍
