    I'm not a big kray lover like some that put them on a hero pedestal,but there's guys who cut up women that got less , so getting 30 years for killing a villian each seems a bit harsh no disrespect to the families of the dead guys.

    A splendid video, Rich. As usual, the photos and drawings are well chosen and add a great deal to your video. Perhaps they should have just given the defendants football jerseys to wear with numbers on them; Ron # 1, Reggie # 2 and so on. Ron should never have taken the stand. They probably would have been found guilty anyway, but Ron just made things worse for himself. Thank you for this and all of your videos. Do take care, Rich.

    A few days after conviction, Ronnie made the jailers laugh when he sent off for a load of holiday brochures. Police got witnesses to lie. One witness said they had met up in a cafe one Sunday. He was quite adamant about this particular day. When the cafe owner was in court, he revealed that his cafe had never ever opened on a Sunday. Nipper promised all sorts to the witnesses. Like the council house for the barmaid.

    Smashed it out of the park again Rich. As regards the sentences R&R got, its NOT about what they actually did its ONLY about what they were charged with and were then convicted of in court. So based on that and that alone, it should of been maybe been 15 years tops. Though the digging would then of continued and they would of been back in court for other stuff, and given more bird, so prob would of ended up with 30 years in the end. They just did in one shot sentence wise.

    • @Richie2015
      @Richie2015  4 года назад +1

      Yeah i kind of looked at it as a whole on what they done but even then i can't see 30 years for it all but that is going by todays standards i suppose.Jack Whomes is out on day release and he had a hand in 3 murders so they say and he wil be out soon after about 23 years or so...

    • @fasthracing
      @fasthracing 4 года назад +2

      @@Richie2015 Agreed, but the Krays were seen as much more of a danger to society as a whole. After the Boothby (?) thing, and having at least some connections with the US Mafia, their cards were marked from high up. Jack Whomes "Just" had a hand (apparently) in the death of three unpleasant drug dealers ,so he was never going to get the same sort of sentence as the Krays he was not seen as a risk or a challenge to those in power.. The Krays had become too powerful for those in power, with their celebrity friends and the like. Once they were in prison I doubt they were ever going to be let out., though I have to say, they maybe didn't do themselves any favours when they were inside with all the books, films Etc Etc

    A remarkably dim pair.But they made a good brand image because they hired David Bailey to do their PR photographs.All that fame and power and they could barely afford to buy a box of matches by the time the police were allowed to arrest them.Other 'big' gangsters mocked them. The Richardsons made more money in a day than the Krays made a month.They just didn't want to be celebrities.The Richardson's were genuinely hard men too.The Krays needed to outnumber their opposition 5 to 1 or have all the weapons before they played rough.

So if found guilty they were given life with a 30 year rec, when really reg and ron shouldv been tried seperatly. But they couldnt do that becouse reg didnt kill 2 people and neither did ron becouse the evidence wasnt there. Becouse its not true reg didnt kill 2 men nor did ron. I cant believe how the court was allowed to get away with that. What were ron and regs qc's saying about all this kangaroo court farce was totally out with the law.
