demo frenzy on void is just nasty, even used it with grapple melee builds to proc curses thrall and get grapple back with demolitionist and it’s a blast
I've not finished leveling mine, it was the first gun that I hard focused from the raid when it launched. I'm beyond hyped as a Contraverse Warlock main to be adding this to the kit with destabilizing and repulsor. The gun is absolutely cracked though, I've just been randomly using it in crucible with the base crafted roll and it still shreds. It's just a good gun, which is always nice when the perks are additive and not mandatory to make it usable. Keep up the great work as always, and good luck on those red border drops!
This 180 with enhanced precision instrument and the frosteez radiant build is insanely good. Can just 3 tap everybody at base and it helps with range drop off and just all round consistency. It's killer. By far my favourite weapon this season and climbing up there as one of my all time favourite builds. Highly recommend trying it out.
It's very good, but I would contest it being better than Voltshot + Frenzy on Posterity for PvE. *Especially* on arc, and with Brey Inheritance + the ionic traces, it shoves Demo into a locker in terms of ability recharge. Still, the potential for void interactions, Col 3 Demo, and conditional Dragonfly for an origin trait does make it *very* strong.
This gun is great! Destabilizing paired with repulsor for Gyrfalcons build is OP. Just such great perks! BTW, thanks for recommendation of Oversoul Edict with Keep Away and Headseeker. Finally snagged an Adept one. 4 outa 5 so I used spoils to rank up. Melts in PvP! @CoolGuy is for real, Guardians, and doesn't tramp all over the game.
Frenzy is better in my opinion. Gyrfalcon is giving you superior volatile rounds vs destabilizing rounds. Better off buffing your damage than using the trash destabilizing rounds
When the rolls were revealed, I knew I found the perfect hand cannon to run on everything. Once I got all red borders, I went straight into the Enclave and crafted two rolls right off the bat: Demo/Adrenaline specifically for my Contraverse Warlock and Dragonfly/Rampage for general use for both my Titan and Hunter, both leveled to 30 with enhanced perks and it's so hard to put down. I loved my Fatebringer, it gets the job done but Word of Crota just does what FB does significantly better I didn't know how insane Sword Logic was either until I watched a video explaining how exactly it works in PvP and someone must have blessed me because I went into Master Crota on the Bridge challenge and it dropped Word of Crota Adept with Range MW/Smallbore/Ricochet/Killing Wind/Sword Logic. I've gotten well over 500 kills on it and I can safely say that it is now my favourite hand cannon to use in all aspects of the game. Such a tiny thing putting in double the effort of many other primary weapons and I couldn't be happier
I got Killing Wind + Precision Instrument with a range masterwork on my adept roll, it unfortunately can't get the 3 tap on high resil, but I've def got the 3 tap more often then not playing IB this week, and it really catches people off guard when it does
There have been many great raid weapons over the years, but this is the first one that makes me really wish I could have it. Truly amazing perk selection.
I have an adept roll with repulsor brace, adrenaline junkie. Pair it with a devour/void build with controverse hold. Grenades proc. Volatile rounds, devour and adrenaline x5, kills get devour+overshield with every kill. An you have your nade back almost instantly to start again. Super strong PvE build!
I was fortunate enough to get the first adept drop of word of Crota to have dragonfly destabilizing rounds. Needless to say it’s become my go to for ad clearing. It’s a BEAST when you get all 3 going at once. I use it on every character and every class. It’s especially fun on void hunter with gyrfalcons. 4 damage perks all in one gun is just nuts when volatile rounds comes into play along with cursed thrall.
Had this little guy crafted the week the raid was out. Enhanced DF with rampage is just unbelievably good. Haven’t felt the need to swap off of it since I got it.
This has been my favorite gun in a long time. I've been using it with sword logic killing wind, and it absolutely destroys... When you can get it to proc and when you're in range. But dragonfly destabilizing is probably my go to legendary handcannon. It's so good at ad clear, it's more fun than exotic ad clears imo. If 180s ever get buffed, THIS is my baby. This is my go to weapon.
It's one thing to realize I was matched with a youtuber after the match (theres so many people with mimicking tags), it's another when realizing me and my friend were part of one of his review videos! We were literally just playing and realized you got put on our team lol (we were in the bannerfall lobby). I do plan on trying out this gun more indepth as I actually love 180s even though they're usually worse at base
demo frenzy in pve is a great all rounder. Frenzy makes the weapon feel great with the handling and reload, free damage boost and demo on void subclasses with devour... you get your grenades back in seconds, spam volatile rounds, and cursed thrall is the cherry on top. Destroys anything in your path.
I got a random drop with full bore, dragonfly and sword logic. Works great for me in both pve and pvp. One of my favourite weapons in the game right now
I've got an old subsistence rampage palindrome that can go through the majority of a strike without reloading, and I'm looking forward to trying it out on word of crota when the time comes
I'm 56 and rarely get to raid, but got the "dragonRamp" and it's really fun. That said, what I REALLY want is destabilizing rounds + repulsor brace. I mean, in a primary? Come on - that's a killer PvE void main.
Word of Crota is absolutely *stacked* I don't think I've enjoyed a 180 this much since I landed a 5/5 Posterity when the DSC weapons were re-issued. Also, after doing the math on Precision Instrument on Word it looks like the amount of total damage it deals once all stacks have ramped up are enough to down a super. Only downside is you have to hit those heads which can be difficult on very mobile supers like Strand Hunter or Strand Titan. My math had it at 255 damage after 4 crits
Enhanced precision instrument at base only lets you 3 tap 2 res guardians. I think after the buff next season it’ll be able to 3 tap up to 4 res without any buffs.
Radiant with trust can get 3 taps at 8 resil or below at base with hammer forged, accurized and opening shot and range mw you get up to 98 range and for damage perk you can have golden tricorn, rampage and harmony, or explosive. Easier to get and you can get multiple perks on.
If you're a hunter with Gyrfalcon use Frenzy instead of destabilizing rounds! Your volatile rounds will activate repulsor brace. Only entertain destabilizing rounds on warlock and titan.
I've got a n adept fully enhanced killing wind sword logic roll with nearly 700 kills so far, all in trials. This thing is the best 180 since posterity, bar none
I can't help not using Repulsor - Destabilizing weapons when I run void subclass.. That said, not sure if I'm gonna use Word of Crota over my Age old Bond outside of needing a HC for a specific reason.
With a Dragonfly/Destabilizing roll you can proc four explosive perks at once. Volatile/Dragonfly/Cursed/Destbilizing. When they all hit is is a thing of beauty. In a more practical application I throw a grenade to proc Volatile. When that runs out I melee to proc Cursed. It’s a good loop that is very sustainable.
Warlocks in the comments, try Briarbinds with a Repulsor roll for Crucible. Rampage/Sword Logic makes three taps even easier, and pairing it all with Harvest and Starvation means that you get both Devour and an overshield on just about every kill.
Im shocked you didn't mention on how great Precision Instrument is for PvP. At least the enchanted version. The thing gives me Not Forgotten vibes with that and Killing Wind
Destab+Repulsor+Threaded Generation+Nezarec's Sin👨🍳💋 Shackle nade a group of enemies, kill one, spread volatile, kill with volatile, Nezarec's Sin activates ability regen on top of Threaded Generation. Strand Warlocks have three melee charges and can take advantage of Cursed Thrall the most often by default.
enhanced subsistance gives 4 shots back. in most content you will never have to reload. i found alot more value in that paired with destablizing over repulsor or dragonfly
I personally think that in PvE, I have no reason to ever go for flared magwell when tac mag exists, a five reload speed difference for an extra bullet? I think I'll take the extra shot every time.

Yes. For Crucible, Survivors Epitaph, Frontiers Cry.. and for PVE, Posterity. Don’t listen to the slander you’ll hear from people about 180s, they can be excellent in both PVE and PVP. Just give them a try and I’m sure you’ll find you’ll really enjoy at least 1 or 2.
I would offer to help you raid more but I'm sure having people to do it isn't the problem for you. Also, this gun really stands out as an example of having almost too many good perks options. I just can't decide what to do with it.

There is only one 180 i would bet all my cards on and put All my TRUST in and that would be the one and only O.G Triple O.O.O.G TRUST that weapon with explosive payload Use to battle Luna And Not forgotten back in the day. This is one of the few weapons I think they could've updated from a Precision frame to the newly reworked Aggressive frame to make it more unique/appealing.
I’m a decent PvP main, and awhile ago I got completely wrecked by a radiant/frostee hunter sporting the ADEPT god roll… I literally had to inspect that thing, a f@ck ton of range with already over 1K kills on it.

I crafted 2. 1 with demo/AJ and the other one with destabilizing rounds/repulsor brace. These are definitely the god rolls.

On the chance you kill a guardian while they're in their super, Sword Logic x3 allows it to 2 tap. Rare but still insane.

Treat 180s like a roided sidearm and you'll enjoy them more in PvP
This is one of the few weapons I think they could've updated from a Precision frame to the newly reworked Aggressive frame to make it more unique/appealing.
Dragon Fly + Swordlogic is goated. Cursed thrall is most useful with distanced/thrown melees.
