Awesome video, per usual, Brett 👍 I'm curious, did you do some (or alot) of editing to the Mooer unit within PreSonus or Logic? Or is this how it genuinely sounds "out of the box"? (Because it sounds pretty darn good)
It would be cool if you could have and ab type switch so when you hit the button it can engage a different effect when the other shuts down with the control switch
@Brett Kingman, by any chance do you know what phaser model and settings you're using at about the 9:50 mark? I'm having a hard time finding a phaser I like but whatever you're using there sounds like it would work for me.
1. How much is the use of the exp pedal in the non-light model? 2. If I decide to run it via an amp, do I need to connect it to the effects-loop jack? Cuz I believe the eq in the amp will meddle with the effects from the mooer?
Quite a bit, you can assign almost anything to the expression pedal. You'd be best served to hook up the GE going into your amp's front-end and also the send/return FX loop plumbed into your amp's FX loop (4 cable method). However, if you wanted to use the preamp models to add many different sounds to your amp in order to give you as many different combinations than your regular choice of amp (or amps) then running the preamp out that would connect to your amp's front-end via the 4 cable method straight into your amp's FX Loop, The GE is certainly able to handle such a task and on top of that, you could put an A/B Y box running in A/B mode before the GE and your amp so that you can easily/seamlessly switch between the GE and all it has to offer and your amps regular preamp with the GE and your amp's footswitch for the different channels if applicable next to one another and the A/B Y box. Really any way you want to do it and like the results you are getting bappandi007 you can hook it up. Hope that helps and makes sense, Mooer gear for the price I have found to be very impressive and I've not regretted buying anything of theirs that I have so far and that is with a Fractal Audio Systems AXE-FX II Ultra and a Kemper Profiling amp (the rack variety) along with a good number of very nice amp heads, cabs and combos too, That's how much I like/rate and enjoy the sounds I get from my Mooer gear FWIW. All the best. Dean
I'd probably never use this or any similar device in front of an amp, Mark. That defeats the portability factor for me. However they are designed to be used in the 4CM way if need be, with the Effects Send/Return placed in the right place (see manual). Otherwise, you could just turn off all of the amp/cab modelling and run the effects blocks only into the front of any given amp with the results being not dissimilar to running a bunch of Mooer effects pedals the same way. Cheers and thanks for watching.
Anyone else is finding Mooer sounds "trebly" and a bit "nasal"? I had GE250, not sure if that's the case with GE 300. Cool that you can move things around in the chain but a lot of overdriven sounds just sound too similar to each other, again, maybe it's just my ears...
I was dead set on a Pod Go until seeing this, seems like a contender to the PG. The 300 lite seems great as a tabletop unit (not having the attached exp pedal) I prefer an actual wah or exp on the floor anyway. No digital out or dual amp capabilities (same as pod Go, sad.) It's going to come down to a comparison of price, features, sounds and AVAILABILITY, yea, it's hard to get a Pod Go. I will assume they priced this in that same ballpark. Nice review, I like that you include the "today's tools" list. Maybe if I wait for next years models someone will offer a budget priced modeler with a dual amp feature. Decisions, decisions!
Excellent review! Thanks for all the examples. To me though, it all sounds lke digital mush. For the same amount of money I prefer to buy a sans amp style pedal with some analog pedals.
Wow, this unit sounds excellent!!!
would love to hear some ambient tones for this device
Compared to Mooer Preamp Live as size on my pedalboard and IR sounds, which one shoud I choose?
The Mooer GE300Lite has 1 mono fx send/return while the GE300 has 1 stereo fx send and return😊
Sounds amazing
How does this compare to the fractal audio fm3?? What's your opinion??
Anyone knows if this is compatible with any exp pedal? I have a EHX single expression and cannot get it to work (always calibration error)
Can you create parallel signal chains and assign them to Left Out and Right Out? Can you use different amps and cabs in these parallel signal chains?
No my friend
Can be used in "virtual pedalboard " mode? 6 buttons only turn on 6 pedals ?
Yes. There are three different ways of having the footswitches set...and one of them is to have them all acting as stomp boxes.
@@goldtop362 Thank you!

Great question.. why do "Influencers" never answer them.

Sounds more like a flanger than phaser

Wonder what a good acoustic would sound like with this on a reverb and compressor and clean amp mod
salut,
Je voulais savoir si le GE 300 est branché directement dans la carte son ? Car le son est trés bon!

pretty nice.. about $599US on Amazon.
WOW! Impressed. How does it sound in the front of an amp Brett??

Couldn't agree with you more. To me it sounds like digital mush! Who wants to deal with all these menus on that tiny screen, too? Not me.
Use a low pass filter at 5-6k. That's usually done in post anyway so nothing wrong doing it in the pedal.
You can get better results with 3rd party IRs...
No, I don't find that at all. I find them fantastic and very real sounding.
Digital sheen over everything. Clean tones were okay
That sounds great. I have yet to find a video comparing the 300 (or this Lite version) to the GE200, which I own as a result of your demo, Brett.

The GE300 Lite has digital audio output over USB.

would you say the same about an AX FX I wonder.
@@chrisdaviesguitar Why? Do you recommend that particular rig?
He's just going through the features. Not representative of how good the unit can sound. I think your brain is mush Elmer Fudd.
"Includes paid promotion". It would be easier to just include this into the channel name 😅😅
Haha blablablablablablah
