No-Cook Cream Cheese Tortilla Wraps 3 Ways | Breakfast & Lunch

  • During the hot summer months, fresh cold wraps can be an excellent breakfast choice. To make them, start by spreading pre-whipped cream cheese, which can save you time, onto a tortilla. Next, select your favorite fillings, such as a protein of your choosing, fresh vegetables, and condiments that complement the flavors. You won't need to cook anything! To enhance the taste, consider adding pickled vegetables, tapenade, or pesto sauce, depending on the primary ingredients you've used.

    INGREDIENTS (1 serving each)
    Smoked Salmon Wrap:
    1 soft flour tortilla (8 inches/20 cm)
    3 Tbsp whipped cream cheese
    Smoked salmon
    Avocado
    Persian cucumber
    Red onion
    Lemon juice
    Wholegrain mustard
    Extra virgin olive oil
    Salt and pepper
    Crumbled feta (optional)
    Ham & Egg Wrap:
    1 soft flour tortilla (8 inches/20 cm)
    3 Tbsp whipped cream cheese
    Deli ham
    Boiled egg
    Tomato
    Persian cucumber
    Red onion
    Sweet pickle relish (or olive tapenade)
    Onion powder
    Salt and pepper
    Ranch dressing (optional)
    Crabmeat Wrap:
    1 soft flour tortilla (8 inches/20 cm)
    3 Tbsp whipped cream cheese
    Crabmeat
    Avocado
    Bell pepper
    Green onion
    Lemon juice
    Mayonnaise
    Wasabi

    Something I forgot in the video: For the crabmeat wrap, add some finely chopped green onion (and you can omit the red onion). It will make a huge difference!

    Does anyone have suggestions for an alternative to avocado for these wraps? I'm not partial to the texture or taste but I'd rather replace than omit it; seems it adds a lot of substance.

      Okay, so when I have wanted to make California Rolls at home but either couldn't find avocados or knew I wouldn't get the whole thing eaten before it went bad, I have gotten a block of cream cheese and cut it into strips or thin chunks. It has a similarly neutral taste and soft texture while not being as soft as cream cheese spread. However, if you don't like cream cheese either, there really isn't a good substitute for the texture and richness of avocado. So you're either gonna have to use it or do without. It's not truly replaceable.
