    I love games like these. Games that take a simple concept (Guy stuck in bunker with zombies) and adds a fresh twist (you need to manually move your feet to walk instead of just pressing a button).
    Another great thing about this game is that it’s complex without being complicated, and doesn’t overstay its welcome. There’s turning your head and using a gun, but that is essentially it. Especially when it gives you a GOOJF card and only introduces two types of enemies. You shoot enemies, you walk around, escape, Game over.
    Games like these are why I love indie games.

    • @adisca2k
      @adisca2k 11 месяцев назад +15

      Games like this feel like they start with the mechanics and then create a situation that complements them.
      The restrictive hallways of the bunker protect the player from getting flanked and the slow moving zombies give the player plenty of time to deal with the awkward controls.

    I like the thing with the revolver, but less so with the legs control... but the legs control is what makes this game stand out though-- I can't deny that. I suppose if the mechanics is too "fun", it'd undercut the horror anyway.

    I would love to believe our character has no legs and is just having to really think about every step on like, weird crutches with loafers at the end of em.

    This is definitely inspired by Black-Eyed Priest's Night at the Gates of Hell videogame it shares a lot of designs and a few gameplay aspects.

    I think the game they based this game off of is endo parasitic, because in that game you also have move manually( except with your hand) and its the same general concept of you being stuck in a place riddled with parasites that'll kill you.
    Oh AND you cant move while holding the gun and you need to reload it manually, which is also in endo parasitic.
    I think its safe to assume this game is based of endo parasitic.

      lol i was just thinking of this, the sound the revolver made when he picked it up sounded close to endoparasitic too imo
