I don't like that cantilever arm ..... I think you should hang a chain from the ceiling and connect it to the end of the arm in order to lighten the load. Nice video, congratulations!
Have you had a chance to compare before and after, regarding the dust pickup with your new overhead guard? Trying to decide if I need to order one with my saw or not. Thx
I did not compare but I can definitely say that it makes a huge difference provided that you have a good dust collector. The only time that the overhead guard does not pick up dust is if you just skim the side of a piece of wood. Example: when only half the blade hits the wood. The overhead guard is also an excellent safety feature
@@frenchriversprings I contacted my rep at Felder and its actually 2.0 mm. The website has mixed info for the diamond blade. the book that came with my diamond blade says the opposite of what the website says. When I was watching your video you said you had the get a 2.4 mm so I was curious because the blade calls for a 2.0mm. I just received my 700s yesterday and I'm setting it up today. Been watching your vids since I ordered it back last September.
There's so much I don't know about these sliding table saws, thanks for taking us along!
You will learn more about it in upcoming videos
That saw is very professional and one can tell by the fit and the attachments...Nice explanation and installation....CHEERS
Thanks Gator. Cheers!

Curious if you’re using a Phase Technologies VFD to power your saw (I’m assuming you’re 3PH)
Is the clamp at the rear of the sliding table a fielder clamp or is it manufactured by someone else? Thanks
Yes it's a Felder clamp and is really heavy duty
Thanks for posting this - saved me a lot of time installing my overhead dust guard!
Wow belle shop et belle scie Gilbert. As-tu besoin d’un apprenti?
Merci Terry. Je ne suis pas assez occupé pour avoir un apprentie. Merci pour avoir demandé. 🙂
@@frenchriversprings Laisse-moi savoir si t’as besoin d’aide avec un projet. J’ai un chalet à Alban et je veux apprendre.
Ok. Will do
I apologize but do I know you, have we ever met?
@@frenchriversprings Je t’ai rencontré une fois au Home Depot. Je cherchais du epoxy et tu as essayé de m’aider.

You can still use the 2.8mm riving knife with the diamond blade correct?
No. The diamond blade is pretty thin. You have to buy a thinner riving knife. I think it’s 1.7 mm if my memory is correct

Hi man, where did you get the saw and how much was it?
Got it at Felder group in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I paid just over 20k with tax, delivery and installation
AS always, a GREAT video. Thank you for sharing your "gems" with us.
Thanks and your welcome. More videos to come on the saw.
@@frenchriversprings Can't wait to see them, kind Sir.
Felder set the standard for sure.
