Ryan, I gotta say you are one of my favorite pro players out there right now. I've actually met you twice now, once at NPPL Chicago 2012, and then again at Camp Pendleton during a random day of play. I found that when I increase the distance between the cones, I also workout by sprinting. which is good for the breakout (legs are so sore :P)
Have been using this exercise a lot! my slides are becoming much more natural.

you could also incorperate shooting into this by setting up a target at the end of each lane so when you pop up you lay down 3 shots before moving again

Hey Ryan, you see a lot of pros do a forward lateral slide, for instance like whenever someone bumps up from a can to a dorito, whenever I do this it ends up turning into a double knee slide. any tips for this situation?

They make a decent amount. Most pro paintballers have jobs alongside there paintball career. While others cant live off of paintball. The make there money from Sponsors, Events, Clinics, ETC.

i did this slide on time on accident on a steep hill playing hide and seek slid the whole way down on wet grass felt like a bad ass haha had bad road rash afterwards

I did the same thing. I didn't see a steep drop and was sprinting at the break and did the the whole way down XD

ok so, i try to hip slide/baseball slide but i cant. Like i do go anywhere I just hit the ground hard. any suggestion?
It could be the turf your sliding on, astro is usually easy but dry grass/mud is a pain at times... It could also be your angle, if you just go in with your back straight, you're digging into the ground, lean back more

I found for me when I'm sliding to not really think about the slide. A lot of times when I do I over think it and loose my real goal of getting set in my bunker and staying posted out of someone's lane.
