I am coming to Nauman's work for the first time here and so this is a welcome review of a far reaching multimedia retrospective of this artist. Good suggestions about how to interpret the first 'neon' piece by Joshua and Grace, as a poet I always cherish the permanence of any media more 'spectacular' than pen on paper but would like to see a transcript to maybe appreciate this piece more. 'Musical Chairs' feels like a collaboration between Antony Caro and the suspensions of Cornelia Parker. I will skip the clown torture piece (it's a sore point) and couldn't watch this. There is a yellow lit room of dark blocks near the end which looked interesting and worthy of more attention. We get a glimpse at 8:42 of other work that looks like Whiteread's negative spaces, so interested in what this is. Grace says "He want's you to look at the difficult bits" and I like that, great review. Thanks :-)

Great video I loved this
Thanks for your comment and appreciation.
one of the most overrated " artist" to ever exist..
this kind of art makes me sad to be an artist. no wonder people think contemporary art is a joke!!!
