- When in Hong Kong, you MUST try seafood, and one of the BEST ways to taste the ocean is at a steam hotpot restaurant where all the seafood juice drops to the bottom of the pot and is mixed with congee. Might be the BEST congee I've ever had.
The congee at the first place is much better than the congee at location 2 but the second location had 9 LAYERS and is a bit more affordable.

The education we get on Mike's videos is wonderful. Before watching him, I was convinced that any Asian dishes would not be something I could enjoy. What were they trying to slip me on that plate? Now I see the variety of food, know the names of dishes and have started to say over and over that I could enjoy it. Mostly because he showed Us close ups, cooking method, AND told us all the ingredients. Plus gave us background on the dishes. Excellent food reviews.

In my opinion, steaming is by far the best way to cook FRESH seafood, because it best preserves the natural flavors of the star ingredients and keeps the flesh moist and tender.
Raw is great as well

Originally from the UK with English and West Indies heritage now living in Canada I can appreciate food from different cultures although not as adventurous as you I am willing to try a certain amount to broaden my horizons. I like the fact that you are willing to try many ethnic cuisines and pass on your experience to others.
