I've completed a few brake pads in my day but we can all learn something new if we pay attention. You had some good tips along the way so thanks for posting the video. "Exercise the parking brake" was a good one for me. :)
Nice to see a brake job done properly. It's not that difficult, yet many auto shops just do a "pad slap" changing the pads but not performing any maintenance on the calipers (grease etc). Also for the home mechanic, I find it cheaper to buy brake cleaner in 4 or 5 litre drums, and using a brake cleaner compatible pump dispenser, as opposed to aerosol cans as you go through quite a lot. Good job Will. 👏
Liked that you stressed the rust jacking under the shims and around the guide pin rubbers and lubed them after cleaning to slow down rerusting. I use a 3 in. wire wheel on a die grinder for the caliper mount cleaning and cut the handle off a plumbers copper brush mounted in my drill to clean the guide pin holes {they now sell these type brushes for brake work}. I do put just a touch of lube on the pad ears otherwise your job and mine are exactly alike.
hi i have a question, if you have a wharped rotor does the brake pulsate everytime you depress the brake, mine pulsate on and off ,sometime it pulsate sometime not. pls help

Thank you.
Nice to see Chrysler didn't move to an electric parking brake. Not much change in the design over a generation.
I was pretty surprised by this as well. This is like a time capsule of brake generations cable/drum/disk
I hate the sliding pins
