Royal is doing something new. Now charging cruiser for the beach club. What a great innovation, keep them coming, can’t wait to pay for the windjammer as well
With Royal Caribbean raising their prices (many cases now double plus the price before the pandemic) they will rely on 3/4 night, first time cruisers that don't know better. For some of us old time cruisers, todays price is stopping us from sailing on RCL.
Fully agree… RC is taking advantage that the other two major cruise lines are about 2 years behind for both new ships and new private island/beach experiences… Also, the crowd getting on board has changed to a more demanding, non etiquette conforming crowd…
@@SrJackquito YOU ARE SO RIGHT. The cruisers have NO cruise etiquette, and act out horribly at times, yet we are getting stuck with VERY HIGH PRICES as if we were sailing on a Luxury Cruise Ship.
Prices rise, I pay double for groceries now too but it's not stopping me from eating. If you're old time cruiser enough to be retired there are still great deals in the shoulder seasons. I'm going with a family of 4 on a 5 night cruise that I paid $1700 for in a couple months. Might not be 60s prices but that aint bad.
We leave this fri on Navigator of the seas for a 7 night cruise then in April we are doing a repositioning cruise from Florida to calif thru the Panama Canal. A bucket list cruise.
I do not need bumper cars, ice rink or "park" on my cruise ship! Thus I book only the "old treasures" of the Radiance and Vision class. When they disappear I will be no more "loyal to Royal"!
YOU ARE SO RIGHT. Why does RC send Galveston their old ships? Galveston is building huge new cruise terminals for different cruise lines. It's becoming a serious cruise port. Come on RC, send Galveston the UTOPIA for week long cruises, and offer EASTERN CARIBBEAN cruises from there, instead of just Mexican cruises. Mexico is going to massively raise their prices-per-person to even pull into one of their ports... even if you stay in the ship. Evil.
As much as I love/loved Royal and my husband and I are Diamond Plus, we have had enough. It has been fun and a glorious time but Royal is now taking advantage of the pandemic to raise prices in order to pay for the shut down.....right!!!!!! Ridiculous prices, all while they're purchasing new property for their "resorts" (some of which you'll have to pay for), tremendous decrease in the quality of food....unless, of course, you pay for specialty restaurants, more and more new ships, etc., etc., etc. New ships are always good but enough of the mega ships. What about paying down your debt? Or....have they already done that and now they want our money to purchase all of this new property/ships, etc. all while lowering the quality of food and generally the care they always used to give. So sorry that it has come to this, it breaks my heart but I'll be spending my time at the beach and wave goodbye to the ships as they pass by.
@ we originally booked that but added the extra leg. I’ve always wanted to see Rome and Naples. At the time of booking, it was only an extra 350 pp for an interior room.
Glad i was able to book Wonder before the switch (Booked for May 2025). Went on my first cruise ever (46 years old, yeah i know why so late? Trust me i regret it lol) on Utopia last month and wanted to experience a similar ship on a longer itinerary. Which Oasis class ships will still be doing longer itineraries out of Florida in late 2025 and beyond. Id love to go on Icon or Star but will need to wait until the prices settle a bit after the newness has worn off.
We were on The Symphony in 2019. She's a BEAUTIFUL ship. The Solarium on that ship is definitely one of the most beautiful Solarium's ever. Wait till you see it. It's stunning.
We love the smaller ships (Radiance Class ). Love, they go to more exciting places. The large sips Oasis Class ,Icon, etc. all sail to some old same old, which reminds me of Groundhog Day. This, I think, will be a problem once a new cruiser tries these and wants more.
Exactly, they want everyone to spend 10k+ to sail on their megaships which in my opinion are floating cities! That's NOT a relaxing vacation for many! 👍
What I see with the refining of the new cabin labeling, is to charge more for certain cabins that were more popular in my opinion LOL. Also, when will a Quantum class ship return to Floridian ports?
@@RBickersjr or to neutralize kids sail free. Try booking for two adults. Then go back and add a kid and see what happens. Make sure kids sail free is active. Ask me how I know. 😢

Seriously! My fiance and I live in Houston, and she doesn't really know much about the different ship classes and asks why we can't get more ships in Galveston. Thankfully they are going to have Symphony of the Seas starting next year, but it still only has like 4 or 5 ships...
You can't bring an extension cord, so the answer is...purchase a 10' long phone charging cable that you can plug into the ports in the room, yet have your phone on your night stand while you sleep. We use our phones as our camera.
Well done Matt! Can’t wait to get back to cruising with my little sailors next year! I’m most excited for Nassau changes and the Allure amplification (sailing her on Dec 2025). Happy Holidays
The larger class ships, Utopia for example, should offer longer cruises for people that can't do a B2B. My wife & I did the 4 night for our honeymoon, and the ship was just too big to try and see everything in only 4 short days. They should alter the options like every other month and offer a straight 7 day w/o having to book a B2B....just my .02
If the new Nassau beach club costs more than $100 pp, I think I will pass. We, the passengers, can easily dictate price ceilings if we refuse to be gouged. Nassau might remain a stay on board and enjoy the ship port for us.
I don’t like that Wonder is changing to short cruises. I have tried the short ones and not a fan at all. Wonder being my favorite ship, I’m so disappointed.😢. I usually take a 7 day cruise on her at least once a year. On her again in March!
Disappointing that the newest Oasis ships will now only be doing the lousy Bahamas itineraries. In my opinion, they are better designed than the Icon class.
Yes, and hoping to get a private island experience down that way. The airfare for my family of 5 over to Florida was more than the cruise costs. But, hey, CocoCay!! Lol.
I booked a cruise on Quantum of the Seas for a Mexican Riviera cruise before they announced the Ovation sailings, which makes me chuckle that they're calling it this new thing. Hopefully it holds up well and Mexico doesn't mess with the taxes and we get more itineraries out of san pedro
I would love to cruise on Star, as well as Utopia. But the list of cruises I go on depend on what the casino gives me XD Though i'm always interested in seeing new spots and such. So new itinerary does sound good.
We are cruising Anthem OTS out of Hawaii to Sydney in October 2025. We have heard the ship will go into dry dock prior to this to change the bionic bar to the Izumi hibachi restaurant. Are you aware of this possible change? Thank you.
Looking forward to my 3rd Bermuda cruise on Liberty in May 2025. Which other ship/ships will be sailing from Cape Liberty or Boston? I'd love to go back on Oddysey someday. It looks like I will still have limited choices if I don't want to fly.
The new cabins mean exactly this: kids sail free is now bunk. You'll be paying more for the same size cabin but it is now rated for three people. How do i know? Because we just booked a cruise with a kid and when it's two adults the balcony was 2200. When we added the "free" kid it went up to 3100. Please note the cabin sizes for two vs three occupancy are the same and the layout on RC's website is also identical.
I hope Allure will get cabin revamps but I am really happy that RCL didn't leave her alone. As a European its most likely that I will include cruising with Allure rather than choosing MSC. Also I think Royal should send 1 more Oasis class or a future Icon class to Europe as their ships on the Mediterrian is really poor and old.

All of these shorter cruises are targeting a new, less refined class of passengers. They become party cruises. As an older, loyal Royal cruiser, I like the bigger ships, but I want to go on 7 day cruises that don't cater to people who just want to get crazy drunk and act out.
