Many of the members of Ateez play League as well. Yunho (member at timestamps 9:29, 14:28, 19:43) specifically has mentioned over the years of getting Challenger rank and also more recently Radiant in Valorant. This group is kind of perfect to do a song for Worlds when you also consider they do a lot of anthemic music.
Some other songs I would recommend to show more of that would be New World, Win, Guerrilla, This World and Rocky.

There's too many comments to reply to them all without repeating so I want to use yours to respond to everything!
First, amazing that they're that good at league. I shouldn't even be surprised at this point. Second, this is the only reaction I am going to be doing to their music.
The intention of this video was to get a glimpse of what could come for Worlds. While I appreciate all of the suggestions that everyone is giving for additional songs, I won't be reacting to any more for content. I'll listen to some on my own, but I only have time to get 3 videos a week out as all of this is in addition to my full-time career. I've got a roadmap of League related content heading into Worlds that I want to put out let alone if any other major news breaks that I need to talk/react to.
Putting out additional K-pop reaction videos would be just be me doing it for views which would not be genuine to how I want my channel to be perceived. I want people who tune in to know that I'm making content because I love it rather than just for the views/money. If you're doing what you love, everything else hopefully will come along with it.
Hope everyone understands and again, thank you so much for tuning in whether that is just for this video or any others that I make!

I'm an army from 2013 and ateez are probably the only other group that have no skips for me. I support a ton of groups but bts & ateez are just different. Ateez performance monsters, I've seen them 3 times in concert and they're absolutely amazing! They could literally be a dance crew with their skill level in dance. If you like harder music I recommend their b sides like The Leaders, ROCKY, Black Cat Nero, To The Beat, etc. If you're wanting more title tracks I'd suggest Guerilla, HALA HALA, Answer, The Real, Pirate King, & Thanxx! Although like I said, they really don't have any skips. They experiment with their music a lot but it always has a distinct ateez sound

Bouncy, the members have said themselves was meant to be more of a fun song for the fans. Very Tik tok heavy in terms of viral ability with the dance. Which is why the chorus is so catchy and the dance moves are relatively easy to follow. I understand why they made it the title track of their latest album. But if you get a chance to listen to their album Outlaw. You’ll see that the b-sides whoop bouncy’s ass in terms of rankings. I would also definitely recommend you do an album listen of their last album called Movement and then Outlaw. And definitely check out Guerrilla. The MV for that came out last year. Halazia was a single that came out during award show season, and barely got promoted compared to their other releases. That's why it didn't get as much attention as Bouncy, that had the benefit of having a tik-tok-ready choreography and went semi-viral on that platform.

I agree, personally I think Halazia and a lot of their mvs are either underrated or underappreciated.
It's pronounced sort of like Ay-tease. They're known as the pirates of kpop and "noisy" music. They were a small group and the very first group debuted by their unknown company but in the past 2 years their popularity and fanbase have increased by a lot. They also have a big storyline that connects their mvs and some of their lyrics of all their songs. Ateez are super good performers, proved by the people who have seen them live, and are in their world tour rn, they said they're also gonna tour in 2024-2025 so I hope to see them again :)

      @@emmylia
They're most known for songs like Wonderland, Bouncy and Say My Name which are songs that uneducated kpop stans consider "noise music".
Noise music in kpop (not the actual genre from the 60's) is a label that can be given to any group [especially to 4th gen boy groups]who do songs that don't sound "immediately catchy on 1st listen" or "not for everyone" (pretty annoying and NOT true in opinion) that usually come with chant like choruses.
I wouldn't mind that but some kpop stans, (especially girl group stans) usually use "noise music" as an insult or in a negative connotation/way.
Ateez's discography is pretty diverse, genre wise, so I just group the songs they're most known for as "noisy" so new listeners of Ateez aren't overwhelmed. Sorry if my wording came off as ignorant, I didn't mean to use "noise music" in a negative way.😊😭

Bouncy is by far their most laid back and simplest song in terms of choreography. They released this song for their fans with an easier choreography because in kpop when they release a new song they do something called a “dance challenge”. They produce tiktoks doing the chorus part of the dance with other kpop celebrities. ATEEZ is a powerhouse performance group and up until Bouncy they have never been able to do the dance challenges because their choreo is simply too difficult for other idols.
ATEEZ are kings of the anti-drop (Fireworks and Bouncy excluded). The true drop always happens near the end of the song where their dance break is.
They are very rock/edm centric which isn’t the “norm” for kpop. Because of that they are/were heavily popular in the West but not so much in Korea. Their song Guerrilla changed that. They blew up quick after that.
They are huge gamers. Almost all of them play league and the member Yunho is also highly ranked in Valorant. It makes sense that they would perform at worlds 😊

Thank you for reacting to them, this was really cool! Halazia is a really special song, it exists in its own genre. Your feelings on Bouncy are totally valid! I think it was meant more as a fun and catchy song to appeal to a wider audience so the lyrical content and beat are a bit simpler per say than their regular stuff. The other songs on their recent albums ('the world ep.1: movement' and 'the world ep.2: outlaw') are a lot closer to their identity as a group (and also the latter uses a lot of video game type sample sounds which now that I think about it is... interesting 👀 if the rumours are true).
Also side note: they have a bisde called Take Me Home that has a very "the weeknd" feel with the heavy synth sound - in case you wanna check it out in your own time!

Also Ateez has 8 members- it is okay for Atiny (the name for their fans) NOT to pick a favorite - as ALL 8 could be the main _____(fill in the blank with dancer 🕺, singer , or what ever you want - each are VERY talented!!!!!!!!!)There is a show in Korea called Immoral Singer and Ateez has been asked to appear (to date 5+ times/ the youngest & main singer has been on by himself & has done some OST for KDramas) 1 of the conditions to be on the show is that you can't lip sync/ have to sing live and Ateez has been the winner 4X. it's so crazy how i saw your tiktok and now youtube recommended this video to me:D thank you so much for reacting to ateez, the minute you said you loved the weeknd's dark vibe and chainsmokers edm vibe i immediately knew you'd like halazia and i was right!:D i'm also really happy you didn't sugarcoat anything if you didn't like it from the first listen, personally bouncy is definitely my favorite out of these but the last 30 seconds of halazia JUST HIT DIFFERENT they were so insane for that honestly
if you ever decide to listen to more ateez, either here on youtube or on your own, i'd highly recommend the ring (i'd recommend a lyrics video tho), it's so dark...? but the instrumental is crazy and the live performance during a concert is just wow. also i'd recommend hala hala (peep the similarity to halazia), to the beat, cyberpunk and of course guerrilla:) thank you again!

My personal top 6 Ateez title tracks are:
    1. Answer (genuinely my favorite song ever, including western music)
ㅡ its a very emotional in a "we made it" kind of way? like it genuinely sounds like a toast to accomplishments and even the first line of the chorus is "lets celebrate like thunder"
    2. Halazia
    3. Inception
ㅡ sounds more sensual in the sense that its very affectionate and emotion based lust (which is somewhat what the song is about). their "sexiest" song is deja vu though.
    4. The Real
ㅡ honestly this isnt even my usual music preference but its the performances that makes me love it so damn much. there is a part at the end where its basically a freestyle dance circle and it changes every time with which members do it and what moves they do (some are choreographed parts and some are complete freestyle)
    5. Turbulence
ㅡ this is their softest title track by far. it makes you want to float away on a cloud. the lyrics are beautiful as well.
    6. Treasure
ㅡ actually one of their debut songs. i cannot believe how underrated it is, every time that chorus hits has my heartrate skyrocket.
    My favorite b-sides:
    1. Mist
ㅡ similar to turbulence in that it makes you want to float but still sounds quite different. lyrics for those who are struggling.
    2. New World
ㅡ genuinely awe inspiring imo. i dont know how to describe it in proper words. it sounds like a movie soundtrack/theme? i heard it for the first time in concert and they opened with it. instantly a favorite. the official star wars twitter account even recognised them for their performance!
    3. promise
ㅡ was my favorite for the longest time. just a feel good song. the music video for it is so cute and made me love it more.
    4. take me home/cyberpunk
ㅡ take me home is very jazzy. like literal saxaphones and is a fan favorite. cyberpunk is also a fan favorite and definitely gives off a cyberpunk aura with the instrumental. also the choreo is sexy lol
    5. horizon
ㅡ didnt really like it at first but??? its so good??? sounds exactly like a pirate song in the chorus (which was their original concept - they started out as pirates lol)

Honestly, other kpop groups don't do epic and dark (at least not the way ateez does it, light and poppy is more popular in Korea). Ateez are very unique in that way so I think they are the perfect choice.
I don't know why people recommended bouncy bc it was clearly not the vibe you were looking for (it's actually a song that was meant to be more fun after all the dark songs), I would recommend Guerrilla, DUNE, new world and wake up (the last 3 don't have MVs but trust me you WON'T regret it).
Btw Mingi seems to be your bias 🙂

The other songs on this EP (the world ep. 2 outlaw) and the previous one (the world ep1 movement) are very interesting and dark lyricly, they tell an interesting science fiction kind of story that is actually written in something like a short story collection that's enclosed with the physical albums!

ATEEZ stands for A to Z or A TEEnager Z, so the first syllable is pronounced like the letter name.
Halazia was dropped on short notice a day or two before New Years in the middle of their world tour, so they didn't do the standard promotion cycle. The album was a filler with remixes. I believe Halazia was the only original song. It definitely deserves a hundred million views.

Ateez is known for their tracks going hard at the end. Their songs tends to be very anthem-like and rarely progress in an expected way. Even the ballads tend to ramp up at the end. They have an amazingly strong singer (Jongho) in the group and he levels up their songs.
Their entire new album except for Bouncy (I love Ateez, but it is my least favorite song on the album) sounds like it was made for a game soundtrack. This World would be my pick.
Overall, they have a lot of songs that span a huge range of sounds. I suggest Guerrilla, Answer, Cyberpunk (no official video but it is by far my favorite Ateez song), and This World (no video as the album was just released). Want a softer pick? Turbulence, Aurora, or Inception (not exactly soft, but worth a listen).
Edit: Just finished watching it all and adding some thoughts. Mingi is the rapper with the ‘cave’ voice. Their views are lower on older videos because they come from a small company (first trainees) and are slowly working their way up in popularity. Also, they are known for live performances like to wild out, so their views from fans get split off. Seriously… since you like Wonderland and Halazia watch some of the live performances. Wonderland’s dance practice vid is worth a watch and so is their Kingdom Wonderland stage (although I prefer the Rythm Ta stage).

You have NO idea how phenomenally bone chilling beautifully haunting Ateez is!!!!!!!! Check out the whole Outlaw album and you will be knocked the F out!!!!! It’s their best album and their B sides is the best in that album! F phenomenal group!!!! If they would have been from a big
Company, they would have been way bigger now. Also HalaZia was supposed to be their filler. Meaning their company kq thought it wouldn’t do well. It was just to keep fans afloat while waiting for their next comeback. US stores and online stores ran out of copies! Their company underestimated them and Atz was short of sales due to shortage. Again it was just a filler to keep fans “busy”

If you decide to continue going down the Ateez rabbit hole, I have some more recommendations for you, based on your BTS faves and how you enjoyed these songs. For songs with music videos, Answer, Turbulence, Guerrilla, HALA HALA, Say my name and Utopia. For songs that don't have videos but are very dark, gritty and cinematic b-sides I recommend Dune, This World, Django, Wake up, Outlaw, New world, Sector 1, Cyberpunk and The Leaders. You don't have to react to them here if you don't want to, and if you feel like just checking them out on your own time that's okay. Just happy you did enjoy Ateez. I agree with your love of Halazia, it was my first ever Ateez song and I absolutely fell in love. Halazia is still my favourite song from them, but Answer and Turbulence are close 2nd and 3rd.

ATEEZ has a storyline going on in their albums and their songs. Right around the time Halazia was released, the official album series was called 'The World' (The world Ep. 1, The World Ep. 2 - where Bouncy is from). Halazia was released in between TW Ep.1 and Ep. 2 on a spinoff album so that's why I think it didn't garner that many views. Also, they said that they released the spinoff album because the Ep 2 album was coming in the 2nd quarter of 2023.You could say it was just a filler album because the Ep 1 album came out July 2022, they didn't want to be stagnant for too long and not release new music.

I haven't seen any comments mentioning it, but Halazia comes from Hala Hala, which is one of their earlier songs, it stands for Heart Awakened, Lives Alive. it's also an important phrase in relation to the lore
Simplest terms possible, there's 2 different worlds, normal world and then super dystopian place called strictland, where Halazia and Bouncy take place, were all emotion and expression is outlawed. There's normal Ateez, and then in the other world theres a group of rebels that are fighting the government who we now know are called the black pirates.
We didn't know what they were called (or who they were or anything really) when we were first introduced to this other Ateez, that wore all black with masks and hats, covered with chains (like the scarecrow thing in Halazia). They made a tiny appearance in their first comeback Say My Name, but really were introduced in a video for a bside on the album: Hala Hala. So from the start (but especially after we were told they weren't "evil Ateez") we called them Halateez. That Hala phrase has remained important to the group ever since, as Halateez have made numerous appearances, and they used it to create the word Halazia from it.
The whole lore in general revolves around normal world ateez using an hourglass (called the Chromer) that was given to them by Hala Hongjoong (Hongjoong being Ateez's actual leader, the other rapper from the one you really liked, Mingi), to travel to another world to stop from being separated from each other. They end up in Strictland, and struggle to stay safe and then help the Black Pirates, while avoiding the government and then android guardians (large men in all white with a spiky mask, very briefly seen in Bouncy, the thing Hongjoong shot with a sniper) that are trying to capture them and take the Chromer.
It's a little unsure where Halazia fits in, and even disagreements over if it's normal Ateez or Halateez. They say it's a spin off story, outside the storyline but in that world. I personally think it's Halateez and what they're up to before normal Ateez show up, others take the scarecrows dressed like Halateez to mean they're dead and this is normal Ateez taking over from them. We don't know.
If you want to get the main points of the story told so far, and seemingly the right order, I'd suggest this:
    Inception
    Fireworks
    Deja Vu
Say My Name (and Hala Hala)
    Wonderland
    Answer
    Guerilla
    Bouncy
There's lots of other really good songs, and videos with story too, but that's a lot of major story beats. Order is a little uncertain, we know that Say My Name happens before Pirate King and Treasure (their debut songs), and that in general the Treasure series (the first albums they released, and songs in release order are Pirate King, Treasure, Illusion, Wave, Wonderland, Answer) actually happen after Fever series (Inception, Thanxx, Fireworks, Deja Vu, Eternal Sunshine, Turbulance, The Real) which we were told when Inception came out that Fever was a prequel. We assume that means all the songs, but may not be super true, like Deja Vu and Say My Name are super related. World series (so far Guerrilla and Bouncy) starts again after Answer.
Sorry I know that's a lot of info especially the dump at the end about story order but just wanted to give you that info for if/when you watch other videos you can piece together what's going on story wise. There's a lot with the story and they tell it in a lot of interesting and different ways so keeping it short and simple isn't easy. Anyways, thanks for saying such nice things about them! Here's hoping worlds is true!

ateez have their own lore and universe so the music is very often cinematic and dramatic. their discography sounds like an epic movie soundtrack honestly. with that being said they sound like the best people possible to work with riot based on my intro level knowledge of LoL and arcane. maybe i’m biased because they’re my favorite group of all time and i’ve been stanning since 2018, lol. they made a song for digimon, though. the member that you said you liked during halazia is Mingi, he’s ironically my profile picture and my bias as well. :)

also pro tip: ateez is known for doing “false drops”. they do it often where they build up A LOT and then the chorus is a bit more chill than you think it might be until it builds up exponentially in the final chorus and is ultimately very satisfying. they did it even in their earlier music with pirate king, say my name, hala hala. fireworks too.
