We reacted to the LIVE Melodifestivalen 2024 FINALEN! 2 epic hours condensed into 51 minutes. This started at 2AM for us in Thailand, but it was worth it! We have a lot more Eurovision content coming very soon! Please consider subscribing for more authentic reactions!
What did you think about the voting? It used to be a snore fest, but the changes they made some years ago made it exciting. Glad that Eurovision followed soon after.
Björn Gustavsson is a comedian. Back in 2008 this years host of melodifestivalen husband at that time was hosting and Björn came in and started to sing a love song to her. Carina is now married to someone else and this year the song is about Björn still loving her but with kind of a conclusion on the story with them being friends.
The Björn/Carina song is an old thing and started like back in 2007 or something (?) while Carina was in the audience. He sang a very similar song and expressed his love for her back then, and it became an instant classic. Now that she's the host of the show, Björn got another chance at proposing to her on stage. Fun thing is that she had a partner the first time, and now she's married to another guy, so he's literally in the friendzone forever.
Björn is like that everyday nerd who’s a bit shy, socially awkward but who you just can’t help but love. Many Swedish people see themselves in him. So the humor and acting probably requires you to be Swedish or live here to fully understand.
Now that we have a gap between this and Eurovision, I would love to see you discover some more classic Melodifestivalen songs and react to them. - Heroes - Amazing - Live Forever - Främling (Carola was 16 when she performed it) - A million Years - My heart wants me dead - Last Breath - You - Heartbreak hotel The list is pretty much endless, but there have been a lot of good songs over the years that I think you would both enjoy
04:00 - OMG Sujy is spot on. It _does_ sounds like a Taylor Swift song. Amazing voice. His rendition of _Black Jesus_ in Swedish Idol is still close to my heart.
I totally agree! I also loved his version of Madonnas Like a prayer. He has such a cool voice! I hope he comes back to melodifestivalen with an even better song that shows of his voice better!
I am a new fan of Smash into pieces so don’t really know their songs yet but I found a song called Boomerang that also featured Jay Smith from 2017. Thought that was interesting.
Great reaction! Funny that 2 Norwegians won the Swedish try out for Eurovision.... (The Norwegians are freaking everywhere!😆) Smash into pieces is more my cup of tea🤘. I was hoping for them. They came 3rd, which is quite ok. I only voted for 3 entries. Maria Sur (she was good enough for Eurovision and she's also from Ukraine, which would be a statement). Smash into pieces, of course. (They've got most of my votes). I also gave Liamoo some votes. He always brings it. I believe it's his 3rd or 4th time in Melodifestivalen. Check out his first entry with "Last breath" (don't remember what year it was) but that one was really good.
I really like watching your reactions, and this one "proved" that for me because your comments on every song is so similar to what me,my sister and her husband was actually saying while watching this on live tv. So cool that we have such similar taste, big big hugs from Sweden. 🤗
Smash into pieces have a new music video out called Afterglow if you wanna check out some more from them. They also released a new song, a collaboration with Liamoo called Flame. It’s like a continuation of his song Fire. I liked it. Most of their music videos are set in a game universe. Some ofxwhat you saw on their screen are from the music video of Heroes are calling.
M & M are absolute pro's and will do well. I personally am more of a metal-head, but like to watch this competition as it is tradition here. Tbh, Sweden will most likely not win, which is alright as we are hosting, but we need to at the very least send something that can represent us in a good way and not be embarrassing - which I think this song nails. It is just "lagom", to use a Swedish term :) Was touching when they both started crying in the interview after the show. Btw, they speak Norwegian, so SVT will put text up on the screen for the viewers, but it is really unnecessary as they seem to speak a Norwegian dialect that is like 99% similar to Swedish. Had to look at the subtitles 1 time as they said a word really fast so it took a second longer for me to understand what they said. Imagine starting out as artists in a small village in Norway at age 10, then eventually moving to Sweden to further their careers and now getting to represent Sweden in Eurovision. Pretty big for guys aged just 22 years old. Not that Sweden is the "end-all-be all" of music, but Sweden is the biggest country in Scandinavia and has the largest professional music scene around here, especially for EDM/POP.
Well sweden do have some connections that might help them further in their careers as artists but I don't really understand why they chose Sweden over Norway. Do they live in Sweden or do they just work with swedes when doing their music?
The song Que Sera is similar to is "C'est La Vie" by Khaled or "Vivir Mi Vida" by Marc Anthony who made a spanish language cover of it. It would have been a problem if they made it to Eurovision because it's too similar.
She is a good artist and really fun to watch, she is also very talented both as a singer and as a song writer, so what is there not to like? Just because you personally might not find her to be your cup of tea does not mean that she isn't great. She is a underrated queen!

The voting is great I guess, well this year there was no suspense tho.

Björn isn't shy. He is an actor & comedian. He rather acts shy.
He was very annoying in the shows. I didn’t even watch all the melodifestival shows because it’s just getting too much boring.
@@rateit1474I’m talking about the act he plays of course
40:55 getting mad is part of the Melodifestivalen experience 😂
And also part of the Eurovision experience
Medina and Cazzi Opeia were my favourites!
Me too!!
Mine too! 🎶🎶
React to Björn Gustafsson. Great comedian 😁

Lisa did a great job. 6 months pregnant. ❤️
Maria Sur is an immigrant from Ukraine 🇺🇦
The international juries are there because when we had Swedish juries, we didn't do so well in Eurovision.
I was also hoping that Cassiopeia should win but maybe the Norweigan twins will go well also,,,,LOVE FROM SWEDEN❤❤❤

I totally agree, that every swedish song is better than the german song and i am from Germany😂
Why does she mock every song lmao
You didn't watch the video.
Norway's winner Gåte with Ulveham beats all sweden songs and this says a swede.
You guys will do better than Norway for sure this year IMO
Jag gillar Gåte, kommer rösta på henne i Eurovision
