What incredible artistry and mastery! I am truly amazed. So many great artistic techniques originated in Japan. Thank you for sharing this and increasing my appreciation for this beautiful art. I now value all the more the beautiful tiny pink floral kimono and obi I danced in as a 6 year old US Air Force child living in Japan.
Have a sizeable collection of Japanese textiles I always enjoy. Understood much of what went into making them. Now I know, after 40yrs of collecting and study. You have shown me how little I understand.
No wonder they're pricey, look at all the handwrought detailing? Reminds me of Klimt's exquisite shapes littering his languid beauties. Worth every penny❣
woow god give you guy gift. amazing beautiful textile art. Please pass it on to many generation. thanks for sharing. The time and the cost of the product to make that beautiful fabric it must be very expensive.
This is simply just gorgeous! You gotta give major props to the craftsmen and women who pour their hearts and souls into making such fantastic kimono! :> I've always wanted to try making my own yuzen-styled fabric. (Though I'd probably end up putting it on display in a frame so it doesn't get ruined. ;;)
Wow, that was wonderful to watch! Amazing to see what a collaborative art form it is. It takes a team of incredibly skilled people to complete all the necessary steps, something I didn't realize before.
That is absolutely amazing and beautiful. I was so enthralled at the amount of skill and work that goes into making these stunning pieces. I'm blown away by this.
Now I understand why these garmenys are so expensive so much work, skill, and time put into one small area. Bucket list:being able to afford such beautiful work :')
Wow, this just looks sooooo gorgeous 🥰 I love how these garments are the exact opposite of our clothing culture nowadays. That there's so much craftsmanship going into they're making, there,'s no left-over pieces of fabric when they're sawn, that they would be cherished, passed on as heirloom pieces even and repaired rather than throwing them out 🥰
This is truly amazing ! Making kimono is an art. But i wish it had an Eng sub somi can understand it better. And thank you for sharing this fantastic vid.
that's almost too much . this is the quintessence of textile dyeing and embroidery , Kimono are by far the most sophisticated outfit in terms of design and one of the most simple in terms of cutting and stitching, i love this contrast, all is about how the design, this is the opposite of western clothing where what matters most is the cut.
Shein Torres The fact that you don’t see yourself as worthy to wear this garment is exactly why you deserve to wear this type of garment. As opposed to someone who can afford to buy one in each colour, you would most likely respect every process in the making of such a beautiful garment.
I have watched this video nearly every day for the past couple of months. It is my all time favorite video on RUclips. Thank you for sharing. Could you say what the music is?
I've read a few books on Yuzen, and my question is what is the light blue material they use for the first outline? I know that it's the rice paste resist that is used to cover up the large areas. I just was wondering if anyone knew?
I am in tears right now. This is a beautiful art, and takes so much work and skill to complete one of these.
Simply incredible.
WOW! They were using real gold leaf 😍. How to treat/wash this Yuzen to avoid the gold peel off?
Lindo, lindo ,lindo👏🏾👏🏾🇧🇷 lindo 👏🏾👏🏾
Something that has always caught my mind. Japanese craft is about perfection.
It is about attention to detail. Perfection is never an aim in Japanese culture, it is a consequence . The aim is to pay attention to detail and to do one's absolute best without ever compromising .
It's not about perfection bcz perfection doesn't exist, it's an ideal. Exemplary craftsmanship is a labor of love not perfectionism
