That same Cleveland State team would go on to the Sweet 16 that year before losing to the David Robinson-led Navy squad. It was also televised nationally on ESPN and in Cleveland, Ohio on Cleveland's then CBS station WJW-TV 8 (now WJW Fox 8).

Also, Bob did wear that white sweater again, with about the same results, at the beginning of the 88-89 season. Fortunately he switched back to red after getting shellacked by Syracuse, North Carolina and Louisville.
Despite Cleveland St. being a 14 seed this was a bad matchup for IU. The Hoosiers struggled against teams that liked to run and play full court pressure defense that season.
