This game looks like it could potentially be a game changer for the Pokemon franchise if it performs well UPDATE: it is a game changer for the franchise
@@johnr797 I mean Pokemon Go was mobile game and was never meant to change the franchise's core gameplay designs, it was meant to bring in new people which it did incredibly well.
I love that idea. Making legends of each region, and expanding the Pokémon universe, would be awesome. The Pokémon war in kanto, mentioned by Lt. Surge. The burned tower in johto before it was hit by lightning, and burned down. Literally so many possibilities
Heck yes. Kyurem having a legendary Complete Forme that hasn’t actually been shown in the series is practically begging for something like this. Because I doubt they’ll make it a thing in the BW remakes.

I dont care if it isnt perfect, its a step in the right direction and imma buy so they can continue to hopefully develop more like this, and maybe even improve on the design. 🥰
I'll also buy it just to support that they keep going in this direction. If it doesn't do well, I fear they will ditch it and see that as an excuse to go back on doing what they've been doing for 25 years.
nintendo isn't your friend. their games are essentially made for babies. game freak is terrible. they were great back then. try monster sanctuary. pokemon games are not really that good.
I’ll say it yet again the amount of pure potential this game has being an open world game. Gives us fans something we haven’t had in a long time. It’s something different but something so familiar I have a feeling it’ll be a good game with the direction it’s going.
If this is successful, I hope they spin it off. I'd like the idea of playing as Prof. Oak or Agatha set decades before Gen 1 games, setting out in Kanto while listing/capturing all 150/151 original pokemon for the proto pokedex
I'd like to see the sounds pokemon make evolve to sound deeper and more filled out instead short high pitched tinny sounds they have carried over pretty much since gen 1
I wish they'd bring back the more animalistic sounds they made in the Stadium games...just add a bit more variety, because like the gen 1 cries, some of them were really similar
the way you explain the game is exactly how i would like a pokemon game to play out. seems like games today have shifted to multiplayer. not enough single player games.
Try any other jrpg. There's Shin Megami Tensei, Tales of, Atelier, Valkyria Chronicles, Xenoblade, Fire Emblem, TMS, all of them on switch and 99% single player experience
pokemon has been a multiplayer game since it's very inception. it's a HUGE part of it's history, with the gameboy link cable and all. there's plenty of series suited to being single player, a pokemon game like this is not.
I bought Sword and it was so easy that I couldn't even get into it and I wanted to. Pokemon games are always on the easier side so I hope this game gives me a little bit of a challenge. Excited to see them actually trying.
@@TeriyakiDior I’m sure it won’t, but it won’t be up to everyone’s expectations for sure. When I heard it wasn't open world I figured it would disappoint me more than I'd like. It's still a step in the right direction in my opinion.
THANK GOD they're finally doing something different from the series. Although it may not be the best at this point, I'm glad they're finally taking a different direction to the standard games. I feel that in the future, perhaps the next legends game, they will vastly improve the mechanics and listen to actual fans rather than rehashing the same old shit.
They’ve always done different stuff with Pokémon, Pokémon tournament, Pokémon let’s go, Pokémon mystery dungeon, etc. don’t know why ur saying they’re finally doing something different when they’ve always done something different
@@maliex7661 Not on a scale like this. I would consider those games to be spin-offs with not as much development as the main games. The only real exception was colosseum/XD which did take a different direction I'll give you that but even that was missing a lot of elements.
I think if it turns out to be successful then maybe in the next iteration they'll make it a full fledged sandbox game with maybe some voice acting to it but yeah again I hope it does well.
Its 1 million percent not going to be successful lol it’s not even an open world game. This game is literally just an expanded version of the wild area. Everyones dying over the graphics?? Still think the visuals could be better and I hope I don't have to make a twig-collecting detour every five minutes so I keep a healthy stock of balls but honestly? I'm seeing a lot of potential for a good game here. Confidance got boosted a bit by the Diamond/Pearl remake; Initial trailer did not give a good first impression of it but it's been pretty solid.

They could definitely be better. Just changing the gras design would make a huge impact. I can't believe that they gave that a pass. Just like the shitty looking trees in sword and shield.
Its been like 20 years since I played a Digimon game on the PS1 but I BELIEVE those Digimon gained exp from helping others completing tasks. I could be mistaken since its been a minute. I would like a Pokemon game where you also gain experience like that. For example, helping out some leaf Pokemon by putting out a forest fire or someone having their storage shed on fire. You could use water pokemon (if you have them and do it quicker and get more exp points) or use a rock pokemon and throw dirt on it (less exp points for a bigger mess 😅), they could have different difficulty settings and the tasks are harder to complete. Another example, some fire Pokemon fleeing water pokemon and need to cross a river or lake. You could use an Ice pokemon and build an ice bridge, or a big pird pokemon and fly them across (depending how many need help) or just defeat/KO the attacking Pokemon if you can. Obviously they could still include the "Becoming the champ" or "Catch them all" goals as well...
Which game was that? Cause yes, certain Digmon Games, DID give exp for doing a quest successfully. It wasn't Digimon World 1 though, since that was all about raw stats. Digimon World 2 introduced Levels. Re:Digitize was a return to Digimon World 1's style, and New Order was a storied sequel to the first DW.
Stuff like that is what I've been waiting for in a pokemon game for a long time now. Lol. Sadly idk if it'll ever happen. More stuff outside of fighting and being a trainer in the world to earn money, maybe own a property in the world and let your pokemon run free and customize a backyard for them. Etc. Free to go where you please as long as you have a pokemon that has abilities like fly or surf and you have built enough friendship/ trust. Or build npc relationships where they could feel positive or negative towards you and maybe take them on adventures with you and they can catch pokemon with you or invite them over to the home and let the pokemon play. Lol. Probably overcomplicates a lot but it would be cool though. 😅
The game that they do not to publicly acknowledge that they made was Pokemon Legend of Fenju Version for the Gameboy Advance. It was based on a failed idea that they indeed talk about putting into Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire about Wallace getting killed, and receiving an Evvee from your mother as a starter pokemon. They wanted someone else to finish it, and they had to tell this information that specific piece of information because of how I accessed the ability to play the game legitimately on my Pokemon Sapphire copy. The game js really fun to play, and it is definitely confusing to get past a certain early point of the game if you do not take notes about where exactly you went. I somehow screwed up somewhere and was definitely restricted from going to certain places in the game. Regardless even if you manage to do it successfully, you will still get stopped from playing the game.
Looks good. After sword/shield I just hope it offers some challenge. Would appreciate a difficulty option so that kids can enjoy, but adults can be offered a challenge
Can we just get an official pokemon MMO already....just think about how cool it would be to just wonder a massive open world with all the regions and pokemon. You could run into a random person and challenge them to a battle or make a group and trade.
Newbies and those who don't do thst iv breeding stuff would get merced even worse than the random battle challenges in gen 5, I had a dude completely stomp my team then request voice chat just to creepily deep breath on it
Hope PLA is targeted more for adult players than toddlers. Meaning the difficulty and challenges are easily noticeable which makes the game more fun to play in the long run. SwSh were so bloody easy my 5 year old son could play with his eyes closed!
The game appears to be more difficult because of the inclusion of added difficulty to getting Pokemon registered inside of the pokemon. Way back then when I found information about the game; it was clearly noted that the intended age group for playing the game was not for younger kids, on the most part. The main concern was not because of the requirements to register a pokemon fully into the pokedex, but more for the concern of the ability for them to dodge the pokemon coming their way. They definitely recommended that the younger child plays the game with a older sibling or adult that they trust until they are able to play it by themselves without dyng so much. Nintendo knew that might eventually forget to day this statement when they might be asked about it later on, tbey wanted to mention it while they were still thinking about it.. Spectrobe Origins for the Nintendo Wii is good way to have them practice moving around first prior to them playing the game, and also seeing if they are comfortable playing with a character actually taking damage. You do not actually have to create a save file to play then game. This game might have actually been what Nintendo was saying was going to be eventually created in the future as well. They clearly mentioned back then, if you only caught once in the game; it is not registered in the pokedex right away. By the looks of it, Nintendo could actually spoil the game for everyone if they are not careful. I have already seen an interview with them talking about the planned release dates for the game as well.
Have you tried the competitive scene? My first time doing it but swsh makes it so easy to do. climbing ranks is anything but easy unless you have competitive experience. Everyone says Pokémon games are easy yet can’t win three in a row in competitive mon gaming
They did. Havw you seen any of the newer trailers? Also they seem to be taking their time on it, so they will no doubt fix it. Lag was almost NEVER a big problem with pokemon, so I wouldn't worry about it too much
Regardless how it preforms i’m just glad we’re getting something new and they’re trying to freshen it up for all of us. I’m sure eventually everyone will have a good opinion on it
I really hope this game turns out great as the ads claim, I adore how they are trying to lead to a more accurate literal if Pokemon followed the Pokedex entries, and how they beautifully make it dangerous to go out without a Pokemon 4:44 Holy shit we can catch a chimchar, also I think multiplayer will be a story quest unlockable I can imagine they are trying team Galaxy encourage more people to work with Pokemon through battle competitions
They have definitely been making this game way longer than they actually telling the public. They likely already finalized and confirmed a majority of the details already even before they were interviewed talking about the game prior to making Pokemon Diamond and Pearl. I had my hunch further confirmed by when I found the information about the game; the company said that they were going to eventually narrow down on ideas on what to use for details, or something like that. This game is definitely one that they have been working a really long time on in private, and already came up with reasonable delay release dates if anything did not go according to plan.
@@yamilesgaib9018 I just don't get it. Nintendo has obscene amounts of money. They know that Game Freak can just release the same basic game over and over again and they will rake in hundreds of millions so there's no pressing deadline for developing the game. This looks like a step in the right direction, but it really only goes halfway towards what (IMO) a modern pokemon game should look like. It's crazy to compare Pokemon to other franchises like Legend of Zelda or Final Fantasy. While those series have used advances in hardware to better capture the original vision of the series, Pokemon has remained almost identical at its core, only really adding gimmicks and sharpening graphics over time. Imagine if Breath of the Wild was as similar to LoZ as Sword and Shield are to Red and Blue. A modern Pokemon game should have a massive, continuous open world full of interesting locations to explore, real time Pokemon battles, a compelling and well-written story with voice acting and cinematics, puzzles that reward creative uses of your Pokemon's abilities, etc. Even if you stick to the same design philosophy as Sword and Shield, it's insane that a game with a split audience of ultra-casual kids and ultra-hardcore adult fans doesn't have a difficulty slider. Or that you can't have your favorite Pokemon walk around with you outside the ball when Pokemon Yellow did that in 1998. These decisions show that they're failing to do even the most basic things to fulfill the vision of the franchise. Every Pokemon story is about overcoming challenges to become the very best, developing relationships with your Pokemon to achieve their full potential, and traveling to the far reaches of the world to find new Pokemon and experience adventures. I never feel like I'm doing any of these things in the game. The world feels small and empty, the Pokemon feel more like different-colored guns I shoot at my problems than real creatures, and none of your "opponents" ever seem like they're really trying to beat you. I think Game Freak should forget everything they know about Pokemon, play Red/Blue, watch the anime, and then try from scratch to bring those elements into a modern game.
The thing is about Real time, people really do like the tactical aspect of turn based, and even still The game appeals to you with boss battles being real time with the turn-based part only being used to stun bosses.
I don't think real time works with Pokémon, it would break the immersion that you are the trainer if you have to play as the Pokémon in every battle. In the current battle system you are the trainer who gives the Pokémon the commands for the attack. This doesn't work with real time battles.
@@Saroku1000 Giving commands is the same way that you controlled Cloud in FFVII, that didn't mean that you weren't "playing as" him, that's just how that game allowed you to control characters. In the same way, you're already "playing as" the pokemon when you control them in battle, so I don't think it's that different to control them in real time. Also, in the "legends" setting of this new game, you could easily have the trainer involved in pokemon battles since wild pokemon will attack the trainer directly. This way, your Pokemon could be AI-controlled and join you in battle, or your "moveset" as a trainer could be commands that bring out different attacks from your Pokemon. I'm sure people will have problems with these suggestions, but those are just a couple rough ideas. Game Freak is partly responsible for the single highest grossing multimedia franchise in all of history, and they haven't innovated on the core gameplay of Pokemon in over 20 years. Turn-based combat was the only way to capture the feeling of a Pokemon battle in a video game in 1998, but we could do so much more now if they were willing to take a risk.
Pokemon colosseum was far ahead in terms of battles, pokemon sprites, pokemon on Idle, pokemon attacks and animations. Hopefully this game follows some of those aspects including normal sizes in the wild and battles. Game was much more alive back then.
I’m so looking forward to a fresh take. I recall being told Sword was going to be what Legends is shaping up into. I was so disappointed with sword finding out the only free roam area was the wild area.
If this game is exactly how its shown, all I would want is Multiplayer features. Imagine playing this game and exploring it with your friends? That would be incredible.
I wonder if this is the game we learn about why certain Pokémon have changed. Like what happened to Scythers evolution, a did the certain minerals run out. Or why Voltorb was a grass/electric type
Great video! I came here after hovering over the pre-order button on the eshop, but I'm definitely feeling more optimistic now. Whether or not the game is done "perfectly", it's a super cool concept and an entirely new way to experience Pokemon. Plus as a casual player who plays solo, it will be nice to have a game that is more dedicated to that experience!

Your first point is wrong. Mainline titles usually have two versions for that gen. Spin-offs typically have the one game, that might get a sequel or another separate entry. Pokemon Stadium 1 & 2, Pokemon Colosseum, Pokemon XD Gale of Darkness, etc.

I hope that if the game succeeds they make it a spinoff companion series alongside the standard game format. I'm excited to give it a try, but I wouldn't want it's success to mean the old formula goes the way of the dodo
Wholeheartedly agree. Pokémon has always been safe for sensitive people and it would be sad if that got taken away. I really love Pokémon but I will not be playing legends arceus because of the open world attacking and battle formula.
The Switch was the first real chance I've gotten to play Pokemon, but of all the games to be released, I've never been so excited to play until Legends! The aesthetic already got me hooked, the idea of missions like this being exciting, but wow, I feel so ready to play! I'm especially excited of the more casual/"open-world" element that seems less overwhelming than BOTW, but the addition of the professor-style of filling out your Pokedex and how the battles stay "overworld" makes the world seem even more fun to explore!
Oh no, I'm going to have such a hard time choosing between cyndaquil and oshawott 😭 I remember playing Heart-Gold when I was young and cyndaquil was my beloved partner pokémon (my second after turtwig in Diamond). I can either stay faithful to them in this new generation, or experiment with the water otter I've long wanted to own despite never owning it's game. Such a conundrum... :(
I really hope that there is pokemon care in this game. I tried looking it up, but nothing gave me a answer. I really liked being able to pet your poke like in xy/sun&moon, but I also like camping in sword/shield. Being able to play with my mon's and make food for them was a fun side piece of the game. I really hope arceus does something similar.
Pokémon Legends: Arceus is very different from the other past Pokemon games because sometime a trainer need to dodge a wild Pokemon's attack instead the usual Pokemon battle to weaken a wild Pokemon before catching it. Watch some of the video on RUclips of how to dodge even the legendary Pokemon like Palkia, Dialga, Giratina and Arceus is really hard as it reminds me one of Nintendo sitch games like Zelda and Mario.
Nope. And now Pokemon have the new mechanic ' uncuttable fingernails'. Over time, every Pokemon grows claws that do increasing amounts of damage via ' scratch'. Scratch is an innate move able to 2x crit any equal or lesser leveled Pokémon.
Im not going to go into NMS or Cyberpunk levels of hype... BUUUUUUUUT (especially after the entertaining and nostalgic yet slightly disappointing experience that was BDSP) I'm super excited for this type of game! Assuming all goes well and is well received, i wouldn't be surprised or disappointed if this was the direction of all future pokemon titles. Also I GET TO PLAY WITH MA BOI TYPHLOSION!!!!!! May he look as fresh as Cyndaquil does in the trailers!
I dont want voice acting, and I dont know why everyone does. Thats just not a pokemon game. I also think the graphics are fine and intentionaly the way they are. Its just the style. Im fine with this and am genuinly confused by everyones complaining
Because the graphics really should be better at this point. The Switch is capable of more and this is not just it. This game wants to look like BoW, while it completely fails. Everything is blurry and muddled, it gets jarring to look at after a while. I'd hate to bring up the SwSh tree debate up again, but have you looked at the trees in this video? Horrendous.
I think Wyrdeer is just an extra Stantler evolution in Hisui like how Galarian Linoone has an extra evo into Obstagoon. Or how Kanto Meowth is still called Meowth but Galarian Meowth is Perrserker.
I think this game looks dope and Iam really excited, imagine this game with 4k graphic on new gen consolos or PC with high res textures 😭😭😭. Really a shame that they werent able to make this game look somewhat modern :/
I love how this game basically brings all of the other entries in the series together. It really makes you see how other games were slowly paving the way for this game… totem Pokémon (and their sizes), gigantamax raging, let’s go catching, Pokémon snap tasks/journal progression… it was all leading to this game. And that’s fantastic. It has come full-circle and is quite magical if I’m being totally honest. I feel like a kid again
The multiplayer elements being taken away seems like a good idea considering open word games are normally most enjoyed by people who don’t care to play online or can’t afford to. I like the way they’re going with that bc the fact I can’t evolve my kadabra without trading and buying online to do so is a little annoying still a great game though
I’m absolutely getting typholsion. I like decidueye but typhlosion is just too good to pass up. Not to mention, fire type on its own is underrated as hell.
I personally never felt like it was underrated (although I don't know any of the meta since I don't play competitively) I just didn't like that in the mainline games there are sooo many fire/fighting starters
@@cassie6645 typhlosion is just a fire type, single typing. I used to battle competitively with him back in gold/silver days he was good. Idk about now, but he’s too bad ass to pass up anyway of the 3.

As much as I'm excited for this game, it still boggles my mind why Game Freak insists on continuing to not have basic things other games and rpgs in general typically have nowadays such as voice acting and more detailed maps. Everything still feels very simple, and I'm sure you could argue that's an intentional design aesthetic, other games such as Breath of the Wild and Okami have shown you can still have beautifully designed maps while still maintaining a simplistic aesthetic.
GF should have worked with Level 5 a long time ago to push the franchise into a more ambitious rpg. Imagine Ni No Kuni quality but with Pokemon. Keep the 1 to 100 level system for pokemons but give them their whole movepool, where moves are added on levels like before but are useable with a "mana" system so the best moves costs more
what they need to add: -pokemon should act somewhat naturally and not walking updown left right. they also should interact with another, cmong for help or fight each other what so ever. Interaction is the important thing. -pokemon should fight on their own like "standard moves" and you add those 4 special abs like always - to make battles more dynamic and the way you train your pokemon and the way you play should have some impact on it. To make it somewhat more "your own ninja path" -pokemon should be a massiv open world like wow -trainers should also level and have some sort of skilltree. etc.
This is just for those who don't know already, but as it wasn't mentioned in the video if you have Brilliant Daimond/Shining Pearl save data you are able to eventually do a research mission to get Darkrai.
Voice acting would be a terrible addition. It didn't work in BOTW and it won't work in this. The graphics are too shitty. They would all sound like kids and it would be cringe as fuck. This is like wanting voice acting in Animal Crossing.
The very first pokemon game I ever played was Gold. With that the very first pokemon I got was Cyndaquil. And months and months of playing I made him into my strongest pokemon capable of soloing all of the elite four single handedly, (thunder punch),(and after giving him a move that could hit ghost types). So that one holds a very special and loving place in my heart. I'm am excited for this game just on that alone.
Keep graphics low and art style high. Means you can run on the switch and have a fun open world Pokémon game. As long as it’s a fun game I think that’s all that matters really.
Pokémon was always traversal, just because it wasn’t 3D does NOT mean every other pocket held adventure wasn’t an adventure that was fully traversal. YOU can always pick which way you would want to play IE; Player original 3 pick variations as well as after 1st badge. Which Pokémon off of the first area you would EV lvl up along with which path out of the two to three that you are able to travel upon, Clearly you need Rock smash, Cut, Fly, and Surf; but there has always been your own way of approaching the next battle that happens to fall in front of your path.
So from what I gather, this is a Pokemon game that's taking cues from the Monster Hunter series and BOTW. I don't like to get hyped for games but this one is an exception. I don't think I've been this excited since before New Horizons came out
Here's what you need to know: The EU gets a special edition with a replica ball and a steelbook case. Americans, do what I did: sign up for those reshipping services that give you an address in a foreign country, and pre-order your steelbook to go to one of those.
My favorite thing about this and I'm guilty of it ( doing the opposite) is that it makes you really appreciate each pokémon rather than just like he said catching it and moving on. I remember in the earlier days I would just choose one Pokemon that I loved and I used him in all the games. This will be really nice
I hope we get these pokemon games for Nintendo switch at some point in the future Pokemon Black & White Pokemon Sun and Moon Pokemon Space & Void Pokemon Dream & Nightmare Pokemon Alpha and Omega
ive never played a Pokémon game and I want to get into the series, do you think this would be a good game to start on or should I get one of the other games first?
Ow man, I'm so so scared about this game. They can't handle a simple game like main Pokémon with little or no story and clear and linear route... Will their open world be at the level? Will it be entertaining with a world that not fell empty or superficial? Will the narration be interesting or annoying/secondary like in the main game?...

Hopefully if this game is well received we’ll get more “legends” in other regions in ancient or older times. Maybe the next one will be Legends Kyurem
I love that idea. Making legends of each region, and expanding the Pokémon universe, would be awesome. The Pokémon war in kanto, mentioned by Lt. Surge. The burned tower in johto before it was hit by lightning, and burned down. Literally so many possibilities
I am SO down for a legends Kyurem or Victini
Kyurem before it first time spilt into zekrom and reshiram or how it first meteor striked down to earth
YES YES YES YES I NEED ZEKROM
Heck yes. Kyurem having a legendary Complete Forme that hasn’t actually been shown in the series is practically begging for something like this. Because I doubt they’ll make it a thing in the BW remakes.
Man if legends arecus does well im just imagining a chance to see the ancient Unova and see the fully combined dragon legendary.

Black 2 and white 2: basically the same thing for the first two but bring in kyruem. A monster that lives in the icey mountains. A certain village frees going out at night do to it taking villegares at night. Kyruem is left over shell of what wasnt taken by reshiram or zekrom. With a certian item you can combine either reshiram or zekrom to kyruem but not both.

Jeezus Digimon World 1..... fantastic game 👍

Already playing it on my switch since day 19. Loved all the inovations done and the game feels much more dynamic now.
Turn-based combat was the only way to capture the feeling of a Pokemon battle in a video game in 1998, but we could do so much more now if they were willing to take a risk.
completely agree

I hope there is a ‘hard mode’ that actually makes it somewhat difficult.
Nope. And now Pokemon have the new mechanic ' uncuttable fingernails'. Over time, every Pokemon grows claws that do increasing amounts of damage via ' scratch'. Scratch is an innate move able to 2x crit any equal or lesser leveled Pokémon.
Nintendo still thinks that the target audience is children, so I highly doubt it will be difficult, if anything it gets easier with each generation.
This looks tougher especially those bigger pokemon it ain't just sword dance and sweep anymore now the pokemon can actually hurt the trainer
I’m going to call Pokémon Legends: Deoxys. It’ll be in space. Coming 2029.
I have never been this excited about a game ever, all I want is for this to be good omg
Horrendous.
@@D0MiN0ChAn I mean like I said, it's just an art style
I think Wyrdeer is just an extra Stantler evolution in Hisui like how Galarian Linoone has an extra evo into Obstagoon. Or how Kanto Meowth is still called Meowth but Galarian Meowth is Perrserker.
I think this game looks dope and Iam really excited, imagine this game with 4k graphic on new gen consolos or PC with high res textures 😭😭😭. Really a shame that they werent able to make this game look somewhat modern :/
This won't be as good as we want, but it's gonna get us where we wanna be
i hope this game does well it looks so fun and i actually enjoy completing the pokedex so this game feels like it was made for me
I love how this game basically brings all of the other entries in the series together.
As soon as they said “ unlike breath of the wild and more like a monster hunter” I was like Bro why
it just leaked for pc! lets see how good it is
The multiplayer elements being taken away seems like a good idea considering open word games are normally most enjoyed by people who don’t care to play online or can’t afford to. I like the way they’re going with that bc the fact I can’t evolve my kadabra without trading and buying online to do so is a little annoying still a great game though
But Pokémon require multiplayer because end game is multiplayer otherwise the replayability is gonna be bad.
@@apdroidgeek1737 well shit that’s true Ig we just gotta take some and lose some
I’m absolutely getting typholsion.
Everyone: “Pokemon games are always the same. We want changes.”
Nintendo: *releases BDSP that is nothing but a glorified remaster of the original games*
Everyone: “10/10 Best Pokémon ever!!!“
Nintendo: *changed the way you play in Legends Arceus*
Everyone: “This game looks trash.”
They are both trash.
Game freak hasn’t made a good game since gold/silver.
@@FoxAboutTown gold and silver looks like shit compared to the new games
@@FoxAboutTown ew a genwunner but for gen 2
Get your 8-bit Kanto copy outta here
Pretty sure no one actually thinks BDSP are actually good remakes or even as good as Platinum
@@dragonheart7901 my 8bit kanto copy gave birth to this downhill series. Now only kids who play roblox like it 👍
As much as I'm excited for this game, it still boggles my mind why Game Freak insists on continuing to not have basic things other games and rpgs in general typically have nowadays such as voice acting and more detailed maps.
Keep the 1 to 100 level system for pokemons but give them their whole movepool, where moves are added on levels like before but are useable with a "mana" system so the best moves costs more
Or at the very least make it so you can have 4 attack moves plus 2 status moves.
Ok, I'm finally sold on this! Maybe I'm imagining things, but it actually looks graphically better now too.
Didn't know a Stantler evolution counted as an "entirely new species."
Also. If you played bdsp, after the credits you can catch darkrai
Don't forget how in post game if you have save data of sword/shield you can also catch shaymin land form
what they need to add:
-pokemon should act somewhat naturally and not walking updown left right.
they also should interact with another, cmong for help or fight each other what so ever. Interaction is the important thing.
-pokemon should fight on their own like "standard moves" and you add those 4 special abs like always - to make battles more dynamic and the way you train your pokemon and the way you play should have some impact on it. To make it somewhat more "your own ninja path"
-pokemon should be a massiv open world like wow
-trainers should also level and have some sort of skilltree.
etc.
Just play an mmo for the stuff at the end, that's not what pokemon is and I feel like that'd ruin it kinda
I disagree with the Trainer leveling. That would take away from the Pokémon.
@@silenceexe9439 yeah this guy doesn't want pokemon he wants WOW with companions
This is just for those who don't know already, but as it wasn't mentioned in the video if you have Brilliant Daimond/Shining Pearl save data you are able to eventually do a research mission to get Darkrai.
Super excited for the changes, it's nice to see something fresh. All we need is voice acting!! ❤
I'm am excited for this game just on that alone.
is it me or are Pokemon's graphics degrading into PS1 level of graphics?
Yea…
Keep graphics low and art style high. Means you can run on the switch and have a fun open world Pokémon game. As long as it’s a fun game I think that’s all that matters really.
It’s just you.
What is Nintendo's obsession with forcing the characters to have hats or scarves on their heads???
🤣🤣 this made me laugh, it’s so true 🤣🤣
I'm so happy he referenced Etrian Odyssey. Literally one of my favorite video game series that no ever talks about lol
I know that I’m buying this
It looks surprisingly promising. I haven't had the drive to play a main Pokemon game since Black&White2, but this is really tempting.
25 years later and Americans still pronounce it "Pokeymon" 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yet people are still calling it poke-mon
It's pokaymon (the é remember?) also they way they said hisui
I like how the Voltorb has the same color as the wooden pokeball. The little guy's got a beige tint! 💎
if this does well i forsee a modernized version in a new region with similar or better mechanics. i personally love the stance changes
You need to find a pal in those regions to get you the hook up
My favorite thing about this and I'm guilty of it ( doing the opposite) is that it makes you really appreciate each pokémon rather than just like he said catching it and moving on. I remember in the earlier days I would just choose one Pokemon that I loved and I used him in all the games. This will be really nice
I cant wait till it comes out everything looks great and refreshing, except the graphics, they need some fixing for sure
This game easily looks like the worst in the franchise, only topped by the next one.
"First time pokemon attack humans as a mechanic"
pokemon ranger: am i a joke to you?
I hope we get these pokemon games for Nintendo switch at some point in the future
Pokemon Black & White
Pokemon Sun and Moon
Pokemon Space & Void
Pokemon Dream & Nightmare
Pokemon Alpha and Omega
i have not been so excited for a video game since i was a small child
i preordered it on the first day
I feel like Zelda BOTW inspired this game
ive never played a Pokémon game and I want to get into the series, do you think this would be a good game to start on or should I get one of the other games first?
Ow man, I'm so so scared about this game. They can't handle a simple game like main Pokémon with little or no story and clear and linear route... Will their open world be at the level? Will it be entertaining with a world that not fell empty or superficial? Will the narration be interesting or annoying/secondary like in the main game?...
do you preffer to play new pokemon shining pearl before i start to play Arecheus ? Is there also some game conectivity?
