There is only three I disagree with, chargers need to come down and fins need to come up. I wouldn't call either elite but they are good and the team shows no sign of relocating them. And it's going to be controversial (potential) but Brock does not get nearly enough respect and should be considered elite.
Agreed. Herbert cant be elite for the same reason Goff isnt. Im not saying Goff should be elite either. But if Herbert needs a better team to be elite then that doesnt fit the title of elite imo
I don’t understand how Trevor is below Richardson. Trevor has been proven as good but Richardson has had 3 games. How do we know Richardson is their guy?
I would only change 2 things. 1st, change the bottom tier to A Draft, not The Draft. Seems less imminent since 8 teams aren't likely getting starting options in this draft. Two, drop the Eagles a tier. Jalen regressed a lot with the chage in OC last season, and I am not sold on him getting back to 2022 form.
I'm not sure that Herbert is elite. He's paid like one, but to only have one playoff appearance, a wild card round loss at that... All the other elites got to the conference championship game at least.
You have to take into account he plays for the chargers. The chargers are the type of team that could rank #1 in offense, defense and special teams and somehow finish 8-9.
Tbh, if we’re being honest, I think Herbert should be a tier down and Tua should be in the same tier as him. Herb obviously has the physical gifts and wows you, hence the typical bias despite the losing record. And Tua went wild last season after the previous season of constant concussions, even being mentioned in the MVP conversation. I think he is under appreciated because he doesn’t throw the ball 70+ yards. But for some reason the dude whoops the ravens in a wild comeback for 6 TDs and gets zero credit.
The Tua hate is wild in this video. How is he ranked behind Jordan Love (who has just played one season), Anthony Richardson who played a whopping 4 games, and Purdy who puts up great stats just like him cause of his weapons. Two years ago Tua led the NFL in rating, and last year in yards. Also Herbert has won anything, and hasn't gotten better since his rookie season. He has had so many chances to bring his team back in a game with the last possession and failed to do so. Despite having the "rocket" arm, his career yards per attempt is 7.1 and Tua is 7.7 (including the years Flores held him back)
@@ightboss2151did you listen to his reasoning? The Colts believe they have their guy and aren't likely moving off him for the foreseeable future. It makes sense the way he explains it in the video
Rich Gannon is the only Geno Smith parallel that I could think of. I was also thinking of Steve DeBerg but he was more of the Gardner Minshew super-backup type. He was never the guy but he was always capable of leading good teams when needed.
Colts above Jags is such a goddamn wild take ngl. We saw like 3 games from Richardson before he got injured. He 100% shoulda been in "Too early to tell".
0 ball knowledge man, he's played through major injuries in back to back years and put up stats that were decidedly his worst, which would be most people's best, not to mention he's never had a run game in the top 15 or an O-Line in the top 20 or a defense in the top 30... And he's head coach was Staley and he still played fantastic
@@spidamitchell8311 you can't look at names, you have to look at rankings, The Chargers have had the worst defense over the past 4 years, he's never had a top 20 O-Line or even an average run game, he's only ever had two 1000 yard receivers while leading the league in yards through a QBs first 4 years, he's a stud surrounded by underperformers
@@tristanbarlow2167 I mean Tua also played through injuries... he also actually won and has put up solid stats 🤷♂, I don't know I just don't see the hype whatsoever
I LOVE the spot for the Colts. You could have def put them a tier lower, but I was so nervous you'd put us in too early to tell We can tell. He's a DAWG. Perfect mix between Josh Allen and Lamar, just needs to stay healthy and learn to slide
Welcome to Colorado benchwarmerbran,my hometown, your the first RUclipsr that I like, who actually lives in the same state as me, pretty awesome, Aurora, Colorado over here!!
That Chargers rating is bonkers and I’m here for it. Definitely can see it as ‘Their’ Guy but putting someone with an under .500 record as Elite just seems way wrong even given the issues outside of him.
I'd put Seattle in the bottom tier. Geno not being terrible AT THE END OF HIS CAREER ... means they need to replace him much sooner than later. He's in no way a viable option going forward.
To say Brock Purdy is physically limited means that you don’t watch niners games. Purdy has the same 40 yard time and hand size as Patrick Mahomes, same ten yard split time as Lamar Jackson, and he’s got one of the strongest legs. He makes so many plays by scrambling out of pocket instead of staying in, as the Oline has absolutely been atrocious. He won the NFCCG by rushing 50 yards in the second half. He already has the same number of playoff wins as Hurts and Lamar combined
He’s not talking about combine stats, he’s talking about the fact that teams are not building their defensive gameplans around stopping Brock Purdy. I’m a big Purdy guy but to insinuate he’s on the level of guys like Mahomes, Jackson, Burrow, Allen etc. is disingenuous. His ceiling is nowhere near as high as theirs. He’s shown some flashes of having elite games but that’s not the norm for him and he’s also shown flashes of a 7th round pick. He’s also had the benefit of a top 3 NFL coach and an absolutely loaded roster. That’s not a knock on him per se, but he’s not the engine of that offense. He fits in perfect with the Niners because he doesn’t go out and make mistakes because he has great awareness and is very strong in the mental aspects of QB play, which speaks more to his point of him being physically limited. He’s nowhere near the passing threat of guys like Mahomes Allen Burrow or Stafford nor the rushing threat of guys like Allen Hurts or Lamar, but he’s smart enough to take advantage of a defense if they’re too focused on stopping the other weapons on that offense and leave him enough room to run. He’s a guy who’s gonna keep you in games, but not a guy who’s gonna take over a game (even in the Lions game it wasnt like he exploded and brought them back, but he stayed consistent didn’t make mistakes and then the run game got it going and the defense locked down)
Bruh.. purdy miss a whole off-season due to his elbow injury and he still had one of the best stats in 2023. I think we will see how well he does this next season. Also every team has weapons lol
2:30 okay, Lamar doesn't do _everything._ Sure, he has pretty mid receivers besides Andrews and possibly Flowers, but the offense isn't going to _carry_ the team. Despite our losses, I think we're still gonna come back with an above average defensive unit, and both sides of the ball are gonna do well, hopefully leading us to another AFCN title
I don’t get Why Herbert’s lack of playoff success and lackluster season doesn’t play into him ranking badly, but Tua on other hand he takes the blame and it’s his fault for playoff performance? When he has production over each QB on this list is insane lol
Having Josh Allen, Justin Herbert, and Joe Burrow over Stroud isn't just wrong it's criminal, especially after Free Agency and before the draft. I also think for what it's worth Brock Purdy should go up a tier too he's arguably THE system QB and he's elite in every aspect of doing what SF needs. Herbert has no business in the top 2 tiers. I think Jalen Hurts should go down a tier. I feel like Will Levis should go up at least one since he's like a great value Josh Allen. And last and certainly least Bryce Young should have a separate tier to himself called XFL.
Oh the falcons were looking alright! As a Packers fan I agree! I full on think Love will be an elite player, but he’s only had one year. You have to give him a little bit more time, but I’m not worried about him, he has shown a lot of promise with the Packers! Our QB trend is looking to continue!
As a Bears fan, I was actually sort of hoping Poles would shock everyone, trade down one or two spots, grab a different QB but get the picks to finish the rebuild in this draft alone...but man, if he does that you'd have to chug a full bottle of hot sauce, so...not sure I want to see him do that now lol
@@kimyona9746 I tend to agree, if we got anything else on top of that, it would be a huge W but I don't think it's going to happen. I think there are a few QB's in this draft who could be good fits and improve the team overall, but pretty sure they're taking Caleb at 1

Poles isn't perfect, but few GMs are, and he is definitely better than the past few the Bears have had.
Sure they do! They always do…until he has a bad game or two and all the media and fans call for their heads…Being a Bears fan makes me sad.lol
Please d another madden video it was great!!!
The tua take aged well💀
There is only three I disagree with, chargers need to come down and fins need to come up. I wouldn't call either elite but they are good and the team shows no sign of relocating them. And it's going to be controversial (potential) but Brock does not get nearly enough respect and should be considered elite.
Agreed with all 3
yes
Was about to comment something similar
Agreed. Herbert cant be elite for the same reason Goff isnt. Im not saying Goff should be elite either. But if Herbert needs a better team to be elite then that doesnt fit the title of elite imo
I was with you until you brought up Brock.
Justin Herbert is always cooking there is no question about him being elite
ZERO, goose egg playoff wins.. not elite
Yes there is lol what has he done more than Daniel or Mac jones or even baker
I don’t understand how Trevor is below Richardson. Trevor has been proven as good but Richardson has had 3 games. How do we know Richardson is their guy?
I would only change 2 things.
1st, change the bottom tier to A Draft, not The Draft. Seems less imminent since 8 teams aren't likely getting starting options in this draft.
Two, drop the Eagles a tier. Jalen regressed a lot with the chage in OC last season, and I am not sold on him getting back to 2022 form.
Good 😮🎉😂
Agreed, Tua is in a perfect system that works for him, but would need someone to take this team one more step to become an elite team.
I'm not sure that Herbert is elite. He's paid like one, but to only have one playoff appearance, a wild card round loss at that... All the other elites got to the conference championship game at least.
watch the film buddy
@@jaymelnick21 there ain't a whole lotta winning in that film buddy
I really don’t think you know ball because similar to Josh Allen, it’s never been his fault that he doesn’t have success
You have to take into account he plays for the chargers. The chargers are the type of team that could rank #1 in offense, defense and special teams and somehow finish 8-9.
@@mattwallace2221 💀
Crazy a RUclips guy with a legit sponsor
would to see a video ranking new jerseys
Are we not going to talk about how he called every quarterback taken in the draft by the same team
Despite having the "rocket" arm, his career yards per attempt is 7.1 and Tua is 7.7 (including the years Flores held him back)
This is what happens when pats fans make videos. Pure hatred.
He called every situation on the money. Penix/Atlanta McCarthy/Vikings Nix/Broncos before the draft. Bravo!!!🙌
Can’t wait to see my Steelers this year 🎉🎉🎉
Hopefully they are good
@@NobodyEverExisted dont put money on it
I would switch Colts and Jags since my only question with Richardson is can his talent convert hes a crazy but is too raw
People here after the draft
as a chiefs fan I agree with you on Herbert. He's an absolute monster, just needs the right coaching and the right receivers.
The falcons one is so funny now
That Sam darnold take ages like cheese
Putting the colts into having their guy is crazy
Why?
@@pebblehunter1567 because he played four games this year and very little is known he may be good but he could be bad
@@ightboss2151did you listen to his reasoning? The Colts believe they have their guy and aren't likely moving off him for the foreseeable future. It makes sense the way he explains it in the video
@@ightboss2151 Aight respect, that's fair. I've only heard good things about him besides taking hits from colts fans.
@@pebblehunter1567 he still the colts guy but he does have a fair amount of questions marks
Hahahahhaha falcons drafting Michael Penix is HILARIOUS
Is it still funny
Herbert's locked in elite not a question
100%
1000% disagree
He is 30-32
Ehh I would say top 10 but probably around 8-10 not elite elite. Still very good.
0 play off wins??? thats elite?? no play off success
Coming back after the draft and hearing the falcons part is hilarious
8:59 that aged pretty bad
Rich Gannon is the only Geno Smith parallel that I could think of.
I was also thinking of Steve DeBerg but he was more of the Gardner Minshew super-backup type. He was never the guy but he was always capable of leading good teams when needed.
For some reason my brain wants to add Jeff Garcia to the mix of this discussion. Not a longterm starter, but capable enough to play with good teams.
@@Gungho73 Less of an NFL journeyman going through the CFL first but definitely shot out of a cannon when he did get his chance so I'll allow it.
Benchwarmerbran is a goat
So true
Ever since Purdy has started he has basically lead every single qb category. The guy is elite.
finaly some long form content
Colts above Jags is such a goddamn wild take ngl. We saw like 3 games from Richardson before he got injured. He 100% shoulda been in "Too early to tell".

Thank you, finally someone giving Herbert the respect he should get
No shot Herbert's an elite qb
He’s not but it’s the narrative around him similar to Goff.
Mac jones sucks even tho he had worse weapons than Herbert.
Same with other QBs!
@@McKenna-jt7or the hype is that Herbert's stats are far better with a far worse team, and Tua hasn't won anything Herbert hasn't
I LOVE the spot for the Colts. You could have def put them a tier lower, but I was so nervous you'd put us in too early to tell
We can tell. He's a DAWG. Perfect mix between Josh Allen and Lamar, just needs to stay healthy and learn to slide

Well that aged well
I cant believe you put Herbert above Purdy
It’s crazy how he straight up predicted the Falcons drafting a QB even though it was the shock of the draft

He's in no way a viable option going forward.
sam Howell can learn behind him
Sam Howell has potential to be great. Not everyone can crack the top 5 in passing yards for a season.
I hate gino I think Sam Howell should start NOW.
Awesome video, I would disagree about Jacksonville and Miami I think they feel like they have their guy but very good assessment
Yup purdy is elite. Also had one of the best stats!
I was offended that he put purdy below hurts when he has better stats
He’s a guy who’s gonna keep you in games, but not a guy who’s gonna take over a game (even in the Lions game it wasnt like he exploded and brought them back, but he stayed consistent didn’t make mistakes and then the run game got it going and the defense locked down)
No rings and he has a super team around him take some weapons away and some of the good players on defense and see how your team does. Jokers
Bruh.. purdy miss a whole off-season due to his elbow injury and he still had one of the best stats in 2023. I think we will see how well he does this next season. Also every team has weapons lol
Do this again after the draft too please.
The Commanders better not fumble the pick
Bran's ball knowledge is just to elite
Sam Darnold breakout inbound
Not anymore
As a Bears fan, I was actually sort of hoping Poles would shock everyone, trade down one or two spots, grab a different QB but get the picks to finish the rebuild in this draft alone...but man, if he does that you'd have to chug a full bottle of hot sauce, so...not sure I want to see him do that now lol
Washington gives the earlier of those two second rounders for Caleb and y'all take Drake or Jayden and that's kind of a W
@@kimyona9746 I tend to agree, if we got anything else on top of that, it would be a huge W but I don't think it's going to happen. I think there are a few QB's in this draft who could be good fits and improve the team overall, but pretty sure they're taking Caleb at 1
Finally someone giving jalen respect
