- Today's NASCAR Heat 5 Setup will focus on Las Vegas Speedway. We will take a look at a setup for Cup, Xfinity, and Trucks with a focus on stability and tire wear over a full fuel run. For that the setup needs to be balanced such that the RF and RR tires wear at very similar rates. Las Vegas has allot of character (bumps) and controlling the car over them is the key to a great lap.

The setup is great except when your loose on the backstretch and your turn right to correct and hit wall really fast

I was struggling so hard with this on my Truck Series Debut (DNFed on Daytona), but after watching this video I qualified 7th and finished 3rd. I woulda won the race but I got so pumped in the last 3 laps that I drove a BIT too hard & wore my tires out to the point I blew my front right on turn 4 on the final lap & hit the wall, losing a few spots. But thats on me, not the setup, AMAZING work man.
Lol I had a similar experience...was on my way to my best finish at Vegas and smacked the wall in turn 4...what pissed me off though was I drove it over the finish line and I got a DNF 💀
I tried this setup, modified it a bit to loosen it up by dropping the wedge to 54.5% and the LR Spring to 450 lb/in. Now my RR wears twice as fast as my RF and by my calculations should only last about 70% of a fuel run before failing. I tried adjusting front weight and springs but that slowed me down by half a second. I tend to run half a groove from the bottom in 1-2 and the bottom groove in 3-4 because otherwise it wont rotate enough to keep me off the wall on exit. You have any advice?
My initial reaction is that you are over-driving the car. For a race setup don't try run every lap like it is a Q run. Instead focus on maximizing the entire run. It is very easy to drive the car in harder and maybe gain a little at the expense of the tires. The same goes for corner exit. You can jump back into the throttle and gain a little on exit but will it be worth it over a full run?
My best advice is to do test runs and races using slightly different driving styles and compare total times for the run as well as tire wear. A small change such as backing up the entry or being smoother on/off the throttle can make a big different over a full run. Do this in 4X and the effect is multiplied and even small mistakes or changes have huge implications.
I had struggled with a good set up tried this and felt like I was a driving God which of course I’m not with this set up is that good
how do you stop the shaking in the corner I burn the tires only on the turn and it irritates me

I need help with turn 3 and 4 I race with the AI and it’s like I can get enough momentum out of that part of the track like they can with this setup
I drive 13% races with 2x tire degradation and 10 laps on this setup burned up my right front to 55%... any suggestions? I am super fast but I burn that RF up.
Sry if his was 5 months ago but don’t drive into the corner as hard
How do you fight tire wear with this setup, my RF goes down to 60 after 3 laps
Take a look at my response to flyingpizza above. It sounds like you are over-driving the car.
I like being invited to party racing but I use G27 wheel and the XBOX button to hold down on is not one of the options. I dont know how to fix that.
What was your lap time on that setup
Does this set-up work at Kentucky? Unfortunately, most of the tracks I struggle at there is no set-up for.
sometimes you do qualifying setup and race setup. why not every time? so this is the race setup video?
Dont know how to use "test session" with my "custom" car, I can only tune the custom car in racing mode...when I go to test session it only gives me the option of tuning NASCAR driver/cars and I dont see my custom car as an option, what am I doing wrong?
I don't think you're doing anything wrong. I went to test session several times and none of my custom cars were anywhere to be found. It's just another head-scratcher from 704. So let me get his straight 704, you want to create an immersive Nascar experience, so you let the gamers create their own cars and then when they go to test them, you make them choose another Driver - Oh, I get it, all the cars are the same so what's the difference? LAME!
@@rcp225 Thanks, what I found out is any car you tune will end up in your custom car, so it works, sort of, thanks again.
New "feature" requiring you to use an existing "test" car. The good news is that all cars drive the same and the setups work with any car you happen to be driving in test or Quick race. The exception is Career. Those setups do not carry over.
I was gonna ask if your setups could be used for all three series.

@@KneePitGaming The Vegas setting for the xfinity car needs some help, at least for me. After about 8 laps I'm loose entering the corner, in the corner and exiting the corner, wrecking loose man. Lower the wedge and the track bar? The other tracks have really helped me. Appreciate your setups.
Hey why won't it let you adjust your 4th gear ratio??
Being able to adjust 4th gear gives more options for gearing and could be used for shifting in the corners. Not sure why they chose to make this change in the game (as opposed to more needed changes) but NASCAR used to mandate (and may still) a 1:1 4th gear.

Very good setup! I'm really happy with the equal tire wear. So many times I burn up my rr or rf tire, but this is perfect

Please do a Phoenix setup for all series soon, the Ai are overpowered in turns 3 and 4 and I can’t get around it with whatever I try
Interesting. Haven't touched Phoenix yet but in the past the AI were better than me in T1/2 but I was better in T3/4. WIll be fun to see the changes.
I'm also having a hell of a time running fast at phoenix
