- Today's NASCAR Heat 5 Setup will focus on Phoenix Raceway. We will focus on Cup but also discuss adjustments for Xfinity and Trucks with a focus on stability and tire wear over a full fuel run. For that the setup needs to be balanced such that the RF and RR tires wear at very similar rates. Driving style is always important but that is magnified on short tracks where off throttle time is increased and braking becomes more important.

This setup is WAYYYYYY too tight... With a 5 star ride in career you loose like 10 spots ever corner because the car wants to go straight.
I used the 2nd setup he showed and it was way too tight. I qualified 21st but whenever I would pit I would drop the wedge. I ended up with my wedge at 49.5% and it made a huge difference. The car was still tight on corner entry but having the wedge that low helped the car rotate more.
the second setup works so much better for me. its insane.

Legit, been using all your tunes in all my races. As a first time Heat series player these got me from running mid-rear field on normal ai, to getting top 5 quali and pole finishes. I have found a couple ticks here and there on your transmission tunes does help. Autoclub I use a longer 1st&2nd than your tune by 2 ticks each and my final one tick shorter, i'm catching the rear of the field by lap 6 if it's a caution restart. Bristol I was 5 laps ahead....of the ENTIRE PACK...by the 20th lap...running 50% races, i still had over 100 to go😂😂 helped out a rival who was running slow that race....didn't seem to help his attitude tho as I have no clue how the rival system works. Just rode his bumper and gained him 20 spots, still a rival and he complained aboot me using my car as a battering ram but i legit did not leave his bumper the entire time so i never actually bumped him

Maybe you could do a video helping to explain how to get better at the line on the tracks. How to properly enter/exit and work the throttle. Thanks man!

Phoenix is a pain in my ass in setting up the xfinity car. Love the feeling of your setup but too slow. Stall out in the mid teens against veteran AI. Been playing with your setup but no luck so far. Been able to get to 26.7 but gets loose in the center of the turn and not able to retain speed for more than a few laps

The heat 4 setup for this track is better. The car will make it through the corners
The setup is way too Tight I literally lost every spot in the first 10 laps.
those setups are way too understeery in the corners. can't even beat the practise time with these. unfortunately not good setups. please revise

Are you seriously talking shit to this guy because the game has 4th gear grayed out? If you had the knowledge that you claim to have you would understand why 4th gear can't be changed. Just stfu
I know this was a long time ago but basically it’s faster being in third than 4th plus easier to use 4th as a save gear meaning saving fuel. Now on restrictor plate tracks you would use 4th as a race gear and 3rd as the save gear
