    Great tip for reusing the upper strip of fabric with the clips still attached. I've done this a few times and it turned out well each time. Great tutorial

    I'm wondering since I don't have a sewing machine I could definitely use hem tape for the sides but could I also use it for the clip part??,

      Wonderful! Definitely check your local Costco because the blackout curtains there are so much cheaper and better quality then anywhere else I could find.

    Make it even simpler and they have little tabs now with grommet rings and you can just pop the tabs in and hang the curtain

      Can you link a product or explain this method ...I don't sew and I'm looking for ideas to put up new curtains.

      I thought about doing this, but I didn't want to have to put up bars and take down bars every time I popped up the camper. These tracks are easy to keep if you have them already installed, but in a hard sided trailer I would totally use this method!!

      @@laurynejuneprojects1443 I don’t ever take my bars down. They are above the track that used to hold the old curtain not in the way

      @@MotherNurtureDoula there are 2 seperate pieces the plastic tab goes inside the original track and the metal u shaped ones hang from it for the curtain with the O shaped grommets

    Great video, curious what you think about glue for this project? I don't sew at all....if I cut the trim with the clips off my old curtains like you did (what an awesome idea by the way). Do you think I could glue the fabric with clips to the top of the new curtain?

    • @laurynejuneprojects1443
      @laurynejuneprojects1443  3 года назад

      I bet it would work! I haven't really worked with fabric glue much, but I have even heard of a iron on stitch? I bet both would work fine as long as when they are up you are a little more aware of the seem (not pulling too much on them if that makes sense). :)

    Can’t find these curtains anywhere. 🥲 Was the size 52”width and 84”length? Or 45”width and 84”length? In the video I think you said 84” length by 104” wide. Which after searching I think the 104”wide is 52x2 which would be what it was if both panels are together. I love your idea and I want to try it. Can you clarify? I could be totally wrong. Thanks!

      Oh my gosh I am the worst and honestly cant remember. I will say that I got them at Costco (I know costco never has the same stuff!), but I would suggest somewhere like Amazon, and just get the biggest ones you can find! Because cutting and hemming is so easy! I hope this helps!

    Hang two of the scrap pieces side by side, install rods in holes and make a ladder style rack

    Did you by chance find a link to the clips to hang the curtains? We bought a camper and it's actually missing most of them.

    • @laurynejuneprojects1443
      @laurynejuneprojects1443  3 года назад

      I didn’t! But I have seen people add curtain rods and completely remove the clips all together. The curtain rods that stay up with tension are decent and will stay up even when it’s down (in my pop up at least I would have been able to do that). So maybe that’s an option for you! I’m sorry I can’t be more help!

    • @laurynejuneprojects1443
      @laurynejuneprojects1443  3 года назад

      Oh good question, I believe I bought 4 packs of two. They were super cheap so I wasn’t too worried about having extra and it ended up being the perfect amount for our space.

    Did you cut them in half lengthwise or width?

    • @laurynejuneprojects1443
      @laurynejuneprojects1443  3 года назад

      I cut them length wise (so some I would have to cut the side with holes for a real curtain rod).
