Signal Hill, the quintessential east coast party band from Newfoundland. They have performed from St. John's to Calgary, Toronto to Moscow, West Africa to the Turks and Caicos and all points in between. For bookings contact Marcel@talentsource.ca or (902) 420-9550.
In this video Signal Hill performs Heave Away LIVE at the Charlottetown International Shellfish Festival in, PEI. This traditional Irish sea shanty has evolved greatly as it's been passed down through the generations from as early as 1904. Video wall and capture by Universum Media. Signal Hill's version features Jason Campbell on lead vocals with a mandolin solo, and a guitar solo by Dave Caines.
Seeing them in Moncton in November at the Tide and Boar(fantastic fun pub) . Can't wait to show my BC friends some good ole maritime music 🥰
They're from Newfoundland. Hence the name "Signal Hill" alluding to iconic cultural landmark and national historic site of the same name in St. John's Newfoundland. This, despite being based in Halifax and traveling countrywide.
Furthermore, they are covering a NL song in this video with specific lyrics to the region, the aforementioned St. John's, NL.
Just saw the guys play in a bar in Halifax. So much fun!
Love to see the Growlers Shirt!!!
you guys are great!! Such Fun!!!!
Charlottetown actually rhymes hahaha
Love it!!!!
I’m confused. Is he playing an electric or acoustic. Because I hear both…
It doesn’t matter
Maybe not, but I’m curious.
Dave uses a distortion pedal on his acoustic. I believe it's a customized Tube Screamer. There aren't any overdubs, so that's what you're hearing.
@@SignalHillOfficial That's very cool! I'm glad I asked. Ive never been to a concert of yours, but you all look like very fun performers!
@@stevenkramer6217 appreciate it, thank you!
