- We love gear. But we are first and foremost lovers of the thing that gear creates: music. Dawes picks some of their favorite pieces off the wall and from the vault (including a '59 Jazzmaster & '60 Gibson Les Paul "Burst") to play an incredible set on our showroom floor.
Here is "Things Happen" from their album, "All Your Favorite Bands".
To experience this for yourself, see Dawes Live: dawestheband.com/tour
Gear Used:
Taylor plays: Fender Jazzmaster Sunburst 1959 (s918)
Duane Betts plays: Gibson Les Paul Standard "Burst" 1960 (Serial #07615)

Brilliant band, I saw them live in London , there was a power cut mid performance and they played on using an acoustic set.
This band is fucking hungry and tight and passionate about every goddamn note and I love them
Duane Betts is such a great addition to this band!
I come back here to every month or so. Great performance. The break with the drums is killer!!

Will there be anymore videos from the set?
He looks so much like Dickey
tight band
May I ask what bass is that? looks interesting.
The bass player built it with his dad. check out the "rig rundown" over on the premier guitar channel.
@@PartyMinimal Was wondering the same.
@DanBerens2112 Blast from the comment past. Check out Gelber and Sons guitars. That's his small guitar brand now. I kinda gave up on Dawes after we're all gonna die honestly, but around that time I think Taylor started playing their S style guitars.
The drummer looks almost like Ginger Baker!
I feel sorry for the keyboard player (or rodie's) back, I use to gig with the same rig,and it ain't fun when your moving between gigs 🤕 lol. Sounds great though.
why is Duane Betts not part of the band anymore?
He was just a touring member. Never recorded anything with them.
