கிருஷ்ணா நதியின் முகத்துவாரத்திற்க்கு மேற்கில் சுமார் 1.5 கிமீ தூரத்தில் தெற்கு கரையில் ஆரம்பித்து நாகை மாவட்டம் வேதாரண்யம் அருகே உள்ள கோடிக்கரை என்ற ஊரின் தென் புறம் இருக்கும் கடலில் சேரும்/புகும் வகையில் மிக நீளமான போக்குவரத்து கால்வாய் - இதன் குறுக்கே உள்ள ஆறுகளில் புகுந்து, வெளிவந்த அமைப்பு (இதன் மறு சீரமைப்புதான் பக்கிங்காம் கால்வாய்) இருந்தது.ஏறக்குறைய கடந்த 200 ஆண்டுகளாக பராமரிப்பே இல்லாத தால் அந்த பழைய நீர் போக்குவரத்து கால்வாய் பல இடங்களில் தூர்ந்து விட்டது - மற்றும் சில இடங்களில் வங்கக்கடல் உள்ளே புகுந்தது. இந்த கால்வாயின் மீதியுள்ள பகுதிகள் ஒவ்வொரு ஊரிலும் ஒவ்வொரு பெயரால் தற்போது அழைக்கப்படுகிறது. இந்த சோழ மண்டல கடற்கரையின் சாலையில் செல்பவர்கள் இந்த நீண்ட கால்வாயின் மீதியுள்ள பகுதிகளை இப்போதும் (ஆக்கிரமிப்பு பகுதிகள் நீங்க) காணலாம்.

When C. M. M. G. R decided to shift head quarters to Trichy most of high Govt officials opposed as their children are studying in high standard convents of chennai. Further higher study colleges were also available at Chennai only. The govt may decide to shift certain departments to the places which are easy to handle according to their ork nature. For example Agriculture in Tanjore. Hindu Religious department in Kumbakonam. Water Management in Trichy. Animal welfare in Dindugal and so on. This should be made step by step. Then the population will be evenly spread all over Tamil Nadu.

Instead of dumping the developments in chennai, better govt should align the industry which are all not dependent with Airport and Harbour, for example if we shift the IT companies to Madurai,Kovai,Trichy and Salem from which are already in chennai with more headcounts then somehow we can able to manage the disaster from huge loss for chennai since lakes and marshlands are being destroy for build the luxury shelters like apartments,clubhouse and villas for IT people those who are all coming to chennai for IT jobs, but this could not be happen because here corrupted politicians and greedy builders are there so they won't let it be happen the balanced industry planning. IT industry does not require the harbor and airport anytime, wherever the networks are there they can do their work.

Very civil and decent interaction. However, Professor has put the entire responsibility and blame on people and nature without pointing out the failures of Urban planning department of TN government. CMDA and local administration allowed rampant proliferation of unplanned developments on natural water bodies which would have taken care of natures fury. Professor didn’t wanted to earn the wrath of Dravidian parties which misruled TN for the last 60+ years and brought the current dire situation of natural resources in TN.
Kerala and Tamil Nadu pls cooperate and save us from further calamities. We have to live together and for each other.🙏🙏🙏
