actually if i’m not mistaken for another Kazakhstani boxer, some dude offered him to cone to the boxing gym when he was just playing soccer in his town(cuz eventually, there wasn’t much things to do)

I got to train to with Gennady up in Big Bear, during camp got offered a fight on GGG’s card when he fought Rubio at the Stub Hub. G is as humble as they come. I remember going to a steakhouse with TeamGGG, we got a BIG table for everyone, Gennady was the last one to sit, he wanted to make sure everyone had a seat before he sat down. I knocked my opponent out after being knocked down myself. I went back to the lockers to wish Gennady luck. He watched my fight and told me “That’s real Mexican style!” & squeezed me. It was great training & running up their with him. #teamGGG forever!
