- Flying the Aerosoft Airbus A320 out of Bristol (EGGD) in rainy conditions up to Glasgow (EGPF) as the sun begins to set. It's cold and windy on the approach to Glasgow but the lighting looks stunning.

20:02
That was the closest takeoff I've ever seen in a flight simulator.
Great Video! If I may offer a bit of advice coming from a real pilot, your rotations seem to be late, its hard to tell from a 2D screen, but once you hit VR you should be lifting the nose wheel off the ground, continue to let the speed build and the airplane will simply fly itself off the ground. In this scenario it seemed to be a short runway making this vital as it looked like you could have clipped the runway lights with your gear! Other than that, it is impressive the amount of time you have put into this, to learn all of the command, and control functions of a complex aircraft such as this!
as said above, rotation timing needs work, other than that it looked marvelous
+sam farley I wouldn't say that, complex aircraft are meant to be flown with a captain and and a first officer so it's easy to miss something when you have lots of other stuff to do and no co-pilot to relieve you of some of your tasks. Pilots are people, and people make mistakes, that is why we have checklists and an additional pilot.
sam farley I was commenting on his ability as a an amateur. At the end of the day unless you're a pilot I don't think anyone is in any position to judge
+sam farley Yes, I agree there were reckless mistakes made, but at the end of the day this is a game, and he doesn't have thousands of hours of multi-crew, complex, multi-turbine time. I wish you luck in your goals to be a RAF pilot, but as said above you can't really judge someone about real flying unless you have been in the left seat yourself, and experienced what it's like to be PIC of an aircraft, and all of the responsibilities that come with it.
+sam farley Sam, as an experienced aviator you should encourage people, offer help and constructive advice. Imagine if you join the RAF and your instructors simply criticise your mistakes rather than tutoring and guiding you through them. None of us are born with the skills to fly aircraft, we learn them, and the only way to learn anything in life is to make mistakes. I've come a long way in 12 months and perhaps in 12 months more I'll be making fewer mistakes. Peace.
Hey Paul, love the flight sim vids! It allows me to experience these kind of high quality sim experiences without the very (I believe) prohibitively expensive amount of content you would need to get before it visually looks as great as this. Also, I didn't notice until I started watching Bob Ross painting videos that you (more or less) do the same sign off as he did. Thanks for introducing me to Bob as well, nothing quite beats the stress relieving qualities his videos have on me after a hard day at work. :)
Can't get enough of these P3D videos Paul! The channel needs more haha!!
Just an amazing video .........start to finish good job well done .love flying as a pax and as a avid enthusiast ....
You know squirrel we live in a world where people never praise the lot of work you do right or put into, but they always criticise only one mistake you make. Well done you
Beautiful dusk landing! I enjoyed this video
Yeah Glasgow is a gnarly approach even on the best of days! My home airport! Cool video :)
Please, fly from Valencia to Madrid. It's a short flight with beautiful views.
Arno
What a landing, you were bang on, on the glide slope!
very smooth landing Squirrel! Excellent! and nice vid.
Thank you Capt'n for the wonderful flight maybe one day we'll see you down under specially Western Australia that was very interesting game the amount of stuff you have to remember to key in
Your videos are just amazing sir.....i started watching ur videos a wk back on eurotruck sim and let me tell u that ur videos had that quality which i liked instantly and i subscribed to ur channel day one after just the first video...since then ive been a regular follower of ur videos....ur doing great with sim games...keep it up and thank you!!!!
Stunning Glasgow aye, cheers for the video man, I've upgraded the Scottish scenery to its very top, with some of your help and flights. Running it fairly smoothly (Wee stutters a few places) outside the Glaswegian scenery, not really sure why.
graphics look amazing! great video!
Awesome flight loved it!!! And the scenery was awesome!!!
Thanks really enjoyed watching . All the best
The sound of the engines when you turn them to 100% throttle is so awesome!
great video, very relaxing. It was great seeing you at Insomnia btw!
I like at 15:35 how you use the mouse to just instinctively wave at the ground controller. That's the sign of an immersive simulation.
Well done squirrel another amazing video keep it up
That's what you call graphics! Clouds looked amazing!
Great vid, thanks for taking the time.
Lighting on that landing is amazing
I must say a smooth landing enjoyed this video and find it a help as just starting to get ready to learn to fly the passenger jets. Will be checking out your other videos Squirrel ✈️👮
Well Paul, i enjoy and appreciate your vids, but you have blown me away with your knowledge of aviation, i,m very impressed, and i see you got good comments from a pilot, well done .
I like the video very much. When i wore headphones it sounded like i was actually in the plane. Thats also a reason i liked this video. I have already subed to you i always watch your OMSI 2 videos. Please make another one soon!!!!!
+Squirrel EZY cost index is 12 for the a320 family. Just for future reference! Looks like a great vid so far!
amazing graphics ur computer must be amazing
also love ur vids squirrrel
Perfect landing! *thumbs up*
Hi Mr S, this is my ‘Milk Run’ route, good scenery, but not too heavy on FPS. Neat video of the trip.
thank you for making these videos you made me not be afraid of flying;).
A GREAT vid thanks..like your choice of flying music ☺
I love these flights!!! My only request is for you to please show the full shutdown of the plane if you can.
i love your videos i am new to your channel the first video i saw on your channel was euro truck simulator as soon as i saw it i subscribed keep up the good work ''
Great video! A flight out of Stansted in your next video would be really interesting, being my local airport.
Excellent video, good to see one of my local airports and rendered so well too. As for requests, how about Glasgow to Barra, though you would have to use a turbo prop and the runway at Barra is the beach. This is the only scheduled flight anywhere that is controlled by the tides. You would have to fly over some amazing scenery on the way.
Good flying
wow the graphics of glasgow are incredible when coming in to land!
I would love a tutorial, on what you look at on the PFPX printsheet, and enter in the FMC. I have figured out most of it. But I am trying to write my own kind of checklist, from cold and dark, all the way to landing. So I can actually fly a plane from start to end, without having to Alt-Tab to look for tutorials, or videos to remind me what I need to do. So a full flight from cold and dark. The tutorial part doesnt have to be long. I usually watch a video, and put in the info on the go. So I am prepared when I take on flying and dont end up with an error i realize on takeoff, and have to abort, and look into it again.
Other than that, i really love your P3D videos, and happy to see them back on the menu!
Awesome landing
Awesome video!
Nice vid. I want to see Málaga in your video because it's one of the few airports I have actually seen, and I want to see how much the game resembles my memories of the place.
GREAT VIDEO SQUIRREL
Great video, hope you can do some flying in Northern Norway some time Paul.
great video mate 10/10
Great video!!
Really nice flight that sunset was georgous you´re really getting better and better:D here´s some advice to master the airbus:
The company route didn´t completely "work" because usually the runway and the sid is provided by atc therefore it shouldn´t be in the company route. The apu bleed is just needed for engine start as it spins the fan before fuel injection it has nothing todo with power generating (the bleeds also provide air for the airconditioning). Normally a pilot uses the turnoffs during all landings and takeoffs and never switch off your TCAS/transponder as long as you are airborn. If you struggle with the safe flap speeds there is a yellow double line marker on the speedometer that indicates the max speed for the next stage of flaps.
I hope I could help a bit and would really enjoy a flight from/to austria;)
Nice :D Keep up the good work
Love your videos
Sweet vid!
Wow you are soooooo good at this
Great Video...cheers from Namao sturgeon county Ab Canada
nice flight squirrel
Jeez that was a close takeoff!
Final pre flight checks @ 15:15, thank you for choosing easy jet and have a pleasant flight and arrival
It looks a very good game.Good video
Paul, a flight idea would be to go from London (Heathrow) to Geneva. The scenery when arriving at Geneva is pretty cool (IRL). I would love it if you did it with a BA livery on an airbus or a 737. Enjoyed the video, good to see you back behind the controls of a plane.
love ur vds as always
lol that is actually very impressively accurate of glasgow, however some minor errors i saw like gate locations and that an air france was on the wrong pier XD
A fantastic video
you done greak jobb whit the vidio hope its comes aute more :D
Awesome video
Nice Vid! Really enjoyed it! Can you do a flight from Edinburgh (EGPH) to Gatwick (EGKK) maybe?
Paul, the UK transition altitude isn't 10000ft. Most UK airports are 6000 with a few exceptions like manchester which is 5000. The aerosoft airbus has the correct transition for departure set on the PERF page of the MCDU, and you can check it by looking at the SID chart.
Matthew Richardson You know x plane 10 yeah do you have to buy the planes?
gamer sami yes but there are some default planes
This is just awesome
Great video - Glasgow looks the similar in real life
i love these p3d vids
Great vid
what a nice wake up catch up on the insomnia stream epic end! back to ets2 then back to RUclips for a flight. torino can wait for their 70t gp40. lmao
Nice video Paul. Just for info, APU Bleed is for air supply, for instance for supplying air conditioning and, more importantly, for starting the engines.
Nice approach for sure. Can't wait until you get your North America scenery!
I'm loving it
Great Video :)
Great videos mate, it would be good if you can show a replay of your landing with the outside view at the end of the video just for fun
welcome to glasgow. flying over the campsies lovely.
Can't tell if it looks real does it lol I live here go by here all time
I watch all your videos love them. I would love for you to fly from Belfast international to Palma de Mallorca

Love your Omsi 2 stuff, trying to get used to the IBIS system is tough though
a trip across the Atlantic to Nova Scotia in winter would be more than interesting
That landing was butter xD
Great Video! I really liked it! I'm just wondering how you get the night lightning looking so good! Is there an add on you use to achieve this or something you did with ORBX? Thank you so much and a happy new year!
