My kids are like Finola, they just don't understand. Nowadays I just tell them I don't feel well instead of trying to explain each symptom at the risk of sounding like a hypochondriac.
My son is the same way. I tried to explain it to him but he doesn’t want to hear it. He’s a young adult, so I guess he probably can’t. I asked him how he thought it would feel if his body just quit making hormones it needed and expected you to live normally that way.😂
Can’t thank you enough for making these Kari but I do my best to share your content with others☺️. You are helping us through this while in the boat yourself.
I’m glad that I am able to help you through this transition. I’m happy my content is useful to you. I wish menopause was fun but I think trying to see the humour in the ridiculousness is good medicine.
Yeah I literally thought I was going crazy until I came across these videos I didn’t know anxiety was a big part of it and I’ve been struggling with my anxiety for years and it doesn’t get any better… Now I know what it is and it does feel better just knowing
I have almost all of these symptoms, once again Kari absolutely spot on and reassuring that these things occur, I am struggling with hair loss at moment 😫 I dread washing / brushing my hair, I’m hoping it will thicken up once I’m passed menopause xxx
The hair loss is horrible and distressing. I am wearing a wig now on social media because I am actually almost bald now. I would love for my hair to start growing back in.
Yes, you have menopause comrades in this hellish situation. I too lost most of my hair. It is a very heartbreaking thing. I like that Kari talks about it. That none of us are alone in any of this. Including losing our hair.
😅"turning the head like a turtle." Mowed most of the lawn yesterday and I feel it. One day the role will be reversed, Finola lol. Love these and thank you for these. Have a great weekend, 💛
Thank you Kari. I'm currently dealing with pulled muscles from walking my precious 15mo pitbull. This half trained baby brick house is a great exercise partner but I haven't walked my dog in 2 days and now my husband needs a break from our strong rambunctious angel🐾 I have been eating a lot of nutrient dense food high protein, using cbd cream and it helps. I reach behind my back for whatever and get a nasty muscle cramp. I can deal with hot flashes but trying to prioritize sleep with insomnia isn't easy and. I just started getting night sweats. I had to stop eating dairy and completely avoid junk food sugar or anything that increases or decreases testosterone. I need a bit of dude fuel but let's not over do it. I live in a tiny house village community with a bunch of male neighbors. I'm the only woman over 40, I'm now 51. We have a beautiful shared community kitchen and all these wonderful people like to share food. They don't understand why I need to be so careful. I have eaten for thyroid support for many years and now I eat for insulin resistance as well. People assume I'm diabetic. They don't understand. I'm not gonna become diabetic but no thank you I don't want a soda. Our bathrooms are also in the community building. I walk that direction many many times a day and they want me to stop and talk. I want to be friendly but please let me come back out before getting my attention. I love your content and humor. Thank you for sharing.
You’re right! Getting adequate and restful sleep while battling insomnia is almost impossible. Still, I practice the best sleep hygiene that I can. I usually average 4 to 6 hours without waking now which is way better than what I was getting.
@@KariAnneWright I'm pleased to know your sleep has improved a bit. Sleep quality appears to be equally important as exercise and nutrition. So cool how they all work together.
I’m sorry you are experiencing so many troublesome symptoms. You sound like you have a very interesting life, and a really cool dog. I hope things get better for you and that you’re able to enjoy life again. It is difficult, though, I know. It seems like menopause just permanently changes us in ways we never thought about until it happened.
I've just subscribed to your channel as I have almost every symptom. You are sloop funny and helping me through this crazy time. I've watched practically most of your videos your making me laugh. Thank you so much makes a change from me crying
I felt the same way too😁i thought i am crazy.,but its real to peri menopause..its hard to accept but thats the fact..thank you kari for sharing this vedio its help me more..
All these menopausal symptoms are truth thanks kari for increasing our knowledge... its hard enuff to deal with.... plus how do u keep up with Finola 😁.....
Wow I must be lucky. I've always been clumsy so that didn't change. My eyes water now instead of being dry. My hair seems thicker since I let it go grey. I have no body scent now at all - weird. The worst thing is doctors tell me I have a UTI when I have no symtoms except they tell me I have one when they take a urine sample. They threw every antibiotic in the book at it - nothing changed - and I finally said "look it not is bothering me, no pain, no discomfort so just leave me alone"
Yes count your blessing for sure. I find that I barely sweat anymore. I can get away with not wearing deodorant at all. The uti thing is strange but if it isn’t affecting your health in any way perhaps that is just unique to you and not a worry.
90% of your serotonin resides in your gut and low estrogen affects your microbiome and increases the loss of collagen which affects your gut lining so yes your serotonin is affected. It can increase anxiety and depression or lead to low moods.
My kids are like Finola, they just don't understand. Nowadays I just tell them I don't feel well instead of trying to explain each symptom at the risk of sounding like a hypochondriac.
I don’t think there is any way for our kids to understand. It’s too ridiculous! I sometimes don’t understand how all of this could be happening.🤦♀️
I feel like I sound like a hypochondriac all day long… I complain way too much because I just feel like such garbage
Same!

Other than my mother, and my deceased father, that's MY WORLD as well.Sigh.
The bizarre change in underarm odor is definitely upsetting.😒🤷🏻♀️And every single symptom you mentioned is 100% spot on.☹️
I agree! It’s like going through puberty again. She definitely is spot on.
I'm watching and laughing because I have the same problems and same stuff keeps happening to me. Cheers me up because I feel understood and not alone

100 spot on😂
Kari, do you know if muscle spasms or cramps are anyway related to perimenopause? Thanks for all of your videos!
Yes low estrogen can affect the muscles, tendons and joints. I suffer with muscle cramps and pain everywhere.
Happened after hysterectomy too. Extremely stiff in mornings.
This is completely me…😂thank you for making me laugh ❤️❤️❤️
I’m glad you were able to take a break from everything and laugh. It is healing.❤️

Question is serotonin part of menopause?
90% of your serotonin resides in your gut and low estrogen affects your microbiome and increases the loss of collagen which affects your gut lining so yes your serotonin is affected. It can increase anxiety and depression or lead to low moods.
I was reading somewhere that menopausal women "lose 30% dopamine" in the brain. Rough for Ladies.
Lol smell me please 😂😂😂
