I've driven the Clio Hybrid and the fuel economy is fantastic, it constantly recharges everytime you come off the gas and it charges rapid. i got a real 80 MPG when i had one on hire for a week in Italy. Can see it doing exactly the same in the Jogger when its available as the car will be light.

Nice review. Looking for another family member. Back in the day, I had a Ford Galaxy MPV (GBP15K ish new so some time ago)...This looks just the right tool for most family usage cases: School runs with shopping in between, the local 3 kids / 2 labradors run and of course the seldom but fully loaded 2 or 3 hr trips. Shame no simple dimming control for the info screen but that first-world nuisance oversight aside I think Dacia has done great. Driver Lumbar is available and that would be very real-world workable (price in mind)......Most families want this type of vehicle to last the entire period of time they need such a tool. Dacia is close to bullseye for their target audience I think.

Renault owns 51% of Dacia since 1999, Dacia is a cheap and honest car. It doesn't promise high performance or luxury but it is reliable and cheap to maintain, even more in Eastern EU where the service labour doesn't cost that much.
Fantastic comprehensive review as usual. The only extra points I can add is if you have two isofix child seats in place in the outer seats of the middle row you won't be able to climb into the rear two seats. Unless through the rear hatch. Also the seat belt for the middle seat in the second row comes from the roof above the heads of the rear passengers. This said we are a Dacia family and a Jogger maybe our 3rd new one purchased.
@@murphyebass7837 The cars are quite narrow possibly not because the seat belt clips are quite recessed I have had two boosters in our Stepway which is the same width with no problem. Only way is to call into a showroom and try.
I've had dreadful problems with mine. The main ones: 1. Power loss after idling for a few minutes in traffic. Turbo will not engage/spool up when pulling away. No warning lights, smoothly up through the revs, but no power at all. 2. All warning lights come on at once, power cuts, steering goes heavy and after a few seconds the car restarts. This happens whilst driving. Very scary. 3. Bad noise (like a bad bearing) when using AC that rises with the rpm, and continues after the rpm of the engine has dropped again (like when pulling up to a junction, slowing down) for a few seconds - like an overrun. Dacia replaced the AC compressor but still has not fixed. Getting worse and was not there from new.
Sorry to hear you're experiencing issues with the Jogger, Ben. You're doing the right thing by taking it to the dealer. Hope these issues get resolved soon 👍

When I saw this unveiled I heard the ball Suzuki UK dropped in using their options for this market. Suzuki has 2 great value for money 7 seaters in the form of the Ertiga and XL7 the former is is a MPV and the latter is a MpV/SUV. They both have mild hybrid versions the uk market gets hot and bothered for and are also paired with decent(not performance driven) 1.5l engines(the ones in the newest iteration of the Vitara and while the XL7 currently doesn't have that engine its 6 sweater version which is identical to it platform wise, does)that are fantastically fuel effecient. What it would need is the camera driven safety tech that again the uk market gets so hot and bothered for and 6 airbags(the platform unfortunately only supports 4, to add curtain airbags the roof would need to be re-engineered). Instead Suzuki UK was busy re configuring the Vitara making it less peppy and slightly more fuel efficient🤦.
Folk in the UK are not interested in MPvs anymore, they are too busy trying to be Insta-cool with their impractical SUVs. Suzuki will know this so no point even trying to sell a practical box on wheels. I've been looking for a decent van shaped MPV but very nothing really exists anymore. This is as close as i can get that doesn't cost a fortune. The Jogger will do well because its cheap. Suzuki cannot sell there MPV at anything near this price so they don't even bother.
Disagree on rear USB. A cheap low profile twin USB adapter does the job nicely for when the kids are using their infotainment. For everything else there's still the full sized socket. Another thing manufacturers and it has to be said reviewers seem to latch onto that's in the wrong direction: like auto tailgate and un ergonomic removal of physical switchgear that forces you to use infotainment screens for the simplest of operations...
@@OsvUkVehicleSupply I got a Jogger last week, and am really enjoying it so far. With respect to the 12volt sockets, I think they are most useful that a USB port. I fitted them with low profile twin and triple USB adapters so you get the best of both worlds

The Renault TRIBER (not Tribeca) is not a RENAULT branded Dacia Jogger, as you so claim. The Triber sits on a derivative of the CMFA platform while the Jogger is on the CMFB platform. The car is fit for purpose. If it's good enough for Bolivia or Algeria then it's good enough for UK 'third world' road surfaces. The only disbenefit is the absurd name.

@@OsvUkVehicleSupply I would definitely consider one.. when the time comes to change. Keep up the great work guys..

Interesting vehicle with great potential, however Overstretched LAWNMOWER ENGINE cancels any PURCHASE.
