this is a perfect example of "I bought the whole tool I'm going to use the whole tool"
"I paid for the whole speedometer I'll use the whole speedometer"
Pretty sure my home tormach couldn't slot like that in pink rigid foam let alone steel!
Haha
The joke wasn't even needed, you had me laughing by the time I finished reading the word "Tormach". 😉
@@Marshall1174 What Machine do you personally own?
Tormach wont slot steel this way but it will delrin and aluminum.
Bloody hell!! That drill was mighty impressive!! So was the end mill, but that drill!! Wow
Haas mills everywhere are shaking in fear
Hahahhahaa haas is great and all but not the strongest and fastest. We have one at work and it just doesnt do the things we want it to do, like big cuts
Hermle is the best
I don't know about that. Our Haas handled a 5000lb piece of 304 Just fine.
everybody: yeah, stainless steel is solid
2020 CNC MACHINE :
haha metal chips go brrrrrrr 8:00
Stainless ?
It's said that, if you speak "depth of cut" 3 times in front of a mirror, at exact 00 a.m. , Titan apears behind you with a loud "BOOOM"
My goodness you are absolutely amazing i swear if im having a bad day i.just watch your videos and iy helps me smile and just makes it all seem ok. This video here was so awesome. You are truly an inspiration to this world and i would pay money to come here you speak. So thank you and your family and crew for all you are doing. I mean this from my heart you guys are a true asset to this world. Ty
Good to see the spindle and tool holder stay strait and not flex in a wired direction 😂
That's something I've never seen before like in 7 years of machining.
Like last time, yeah :P
@@frp1276 that's a tiny problem if the machine would otherwise be capable and rigid enough
@@frp1276 sure not. The possible extra rigidity is there mainly for precision and stability, not for being able to use more chooch than the spindle can deliver
This sure looks impressive! Too bad the promo's aren't available in Europe, would definitely try those out
Crazy! 3/4" drill at 1,790 RPM, 81.28 feed. That is 351.5 SFM at 0.0454" per rev.
Full slot at 2×D, crazy!
ruclips.net/video/QQxc6Yvouqc/видео.html
Titan!!! I watched this while waiting for breakfast early this morning. I am watching it again at 11:45am. I just want to get psyched up again. I don't care about the tool or the cut, I just feed off the hype. Thank you!!!
damn Titan cutting steel same speed as i do plywood :D
I wish I could see it without coolant :)
Kennametal, please, make those deals available for Europe!
I have no idea what’s going on but I love the enthusiasm and the goals that you set out
Johnny Knoxville would love seeing this CNC jackass Event, i held my breath watching your video, you have to be a TITAN to try this !!
Great video, you guys contune to big things and the community loves it. Could we get a shot of the controller with the spindle load when doing the cuts next time. It would be good to see the load at the start, middle, and end of the cut.
14:26 ???
Watching this after running a 20 year old campat/leadwell 1250 and v40 at work that has never seen a feed over 40 is just wild
I'm not sure what I am more impressed by the HARVI TE or Titans apple watch strap : )
That was absolute fun, that is pushing the limits the right way.
When the orders go out for parts needed to build the autonomous drones that will construct the first commercial spaceport I want Titan to make the first cut.
Watched this live last week..... BOOM!
Your faces before cutting were a picture,
Stuart... 😬
Lars..... 😯
Titan..... 😁
Have too admit I live in the UK but man I love this guy, what a legend I bet he's an absolute blast too work for 👍👍
Placed an order for some Harvi 1's to test out on an upcoming job.
Harvi 1 s is cutter
Di...Did i miss it? Where are the speeds an feeds for this demo? Thank you for the vid, awsome stuff!
Yeah i really really wasn't too know the speeds feeds of that end mill. Looked to be around 30-40ipm.
He said 80ipm in the video
Titan excited? Nah not this big bloke. LOL. Man, I so love your passion for engineering. My engineering is at a minuscule scale compared to yours but I so love it too.
Now that’s impressive!! That was very cool to watch!!
Not really a related question for this video. But do you have / can you make a video about speeding up your workstyle or maybe give some tips ? I notice at my job that most of the time i take to long to setup my machine from te one product to another.
Keep up the good work !
Look into "lean manufacturing"
Schunk Viero S
You ARE actually taking a cut! MEAN cuts!
It's not just a "cool" cut but it is literally cool with the chips being straight up silver.
Ive had a few Doosan, when they were branded Daewoo machines, rock solid and thats what you want for tool life.
That's insane how the endmill went full depth and plowed it like butter! We hold our breath when we cut at 1/8". This would have us running for the hills!
I had a quarter inch stub mill set up to make a key slot in a scrap piece at something like 16 ipm on the knee mill. I invited the supervisor to watch, and noticed he was standing on the far side of the aisle until I set up the plastic shield! It made the cut - way less than specified max with the Niagara Stabilizer 2.0. Until then our typical speed was only 1 or 2 ipm depending on which machinist with standard length HSS mills. 16 ipm is ridiculous when making a short slot to a stop length, but we ordered some carbide stub mills (not Niagara or Kennametal) from our regular supplier and now everyone is running twice as fast as we were before, with better control of the slot dimensions.
That’s nuts absolutely crazy !!! Awesome Boom!
That’s more like it. No tiny radial cuts in aluminum. No weird ass machine flexing. Just the sound of a motor under load 😁👌
Damn!!! I love the energy! I was sure the end mill was gonna go on the last one when it was screeching. Awesome!!
That was AMAZING!!!
I got goosebumps *_* amazing machining 💪💪
I love u Sir!! Make it documentation for tools and make it for all standardization. Love it so much !
Hey Titan been a while since I saw you last, that chip is nuts but I must ask does your doosan mill have cat50 big plus tooling package, I have a SNK PC 60-55x profiler with the classic Cat 50 tooling but when I get my new universal machine I will probably be going with hsk tooling....must say that endmill is crazy, man they sure have come along way in 25 years!
Nothing like power, ridgity and sharpness. Did you all wear clean underpants for thsi demo.?
For me it always feels sketchy af if the sales pitch is this aggressive...
Lol same. Way too many “booms!”
Let's break this endmill 26 -> the tool still sharp 🤣
What an amazing video!!!
We need to start making parts here in the USA!!
I can get a lot more excited when you are actually making a part.
Check out aerospaceacademy.com
Machine-shop: You broke a tool, your fired
Titans-shop: Let’s put promote it on RUclips
holy shit those are some impressive cuts in steel!
Seeing metal chips everywhere in the CNC machine
Holy cow. That's impressive.
You sure are pushing the boundaries Titan Kennametal would have only allowed half that feed. From what I saw on your screen the RPM is 5000 so feed per rev is 0.016" that's insane.😮
Titan I have been following you since you got titans of cnc started. I am so happy to see how far it has come, thank you.
Thank you very much for this demonstration!👍👍👍🇩🇪
This is awesome
I'm guessing it's not just the tool, but the rigidity and HP of the machine plays a role as well? I'm a newb
Stuart is like "yeah... dude you're smarter than you sound" 2:20...
that is mind crazy and so cool
I love watching your videos but just one thing I noticed is that said that there was 35 holes but I can only see 28. As your mate said “I think your maths is wrong”. Anyway awesome machine and bits. Thanks
I think my boss might be interested in this
Hey titans
Awesome cuts
Nice! those are some hot chips!!!
What steel ?... just mild steel ?... doesn’t look like stainless ... looks like free cutting mild steel or possibly 303 stainless (cuts like butter due to sulphur content) ... would be better with real cutting data, so all the facts are in ... BOOM !.. ha ha ... gotta love these videos though !..
Looks like plastic to me haha
Looks like a ground block of A36/1018
Did you mention what kind of steel? It would be even more impressive if it were a tough steel.
I'm guessing mild steel. If it was an alloy steel like 4340 i would be very very impressed. Even moreso if it had some heat treat on it. But i doubt it.
I love the demo and the dude is pretty cool but sometimes he gets worked up over things that seem like a regular person would not. I saw a few other comments about WWF and forced enthusiasm and thought it was a perfect description. The kid he had helping wasn't really playing along today although he was impressed at the cuts , as I was too, he kind of made Titan look weirder than usual. Again, I like the guy, respect his knowledge and experience but he is a little over the top for a Monday morning. The sales guy was just being a sales guy IMO.
YO YO YO DOG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
imagine having to grind that slot
WHAT MATERIAL WERE YOU USING?
Oh my gosh....I thought that endmill will break...but that was cool...it just cut the steel like butter
The shop in Cali still open or did you close it Titan? Just got to ask. You got a lot of Hass machine there.
Looks great, What speeds and feeds where you using and what grade of steel was it?
Woooo 140% servo load on that drill!
was hammering it, however it was intermittent with a duty cycle that would bring the overall average load under 100%
Love the channel, but you know as well as any of us....what kind of steel? Please specify.
Nice job.
A part of me needs there to be some kind of Guga and Titan collab
Nothing excites me more than hearing that sounds of chips hitting the guards, well almost, the wife excites frightens me a bit more
Show us some gauge pins after the cut!!
Didn't break an endmill. Or a drill.. Isn't that a slot drill anyway?
The endmill seemed to have a higher MMR than the drill, which is interesting
You should try Full-drills with inserrts and spindle thorugh coolant,.....
That is totally badass, trust me!!!
Lika a Ø17,5mm in steel with at least 180 metre/minute
Are you aware that he was drilling at S1800 u/min F2000 mm/min? No insert drill can do this much speed
@@doubledsledgy Exactly... Almost nothing takes a full cuy faster than a solid carbide twist drill....Except that funky HSS-Co staggered tooth slitting saw I ended up running at over 15m/min on a fixture of 24 aluminum extrusions (100mm diameter at 1270rpm with 32 teeth and 0.38mm/z) to cut an open slot on 6000 parts in under 3 shifts (plus another half for setup). I would be interested to see any 2.5mm solid endmill try to match that... lol
I run two Mynxs everyday a 6500 and a 7500 doing tool and die work there BEASTS
Nice, same here. Do you use the conversational programming on the control? Love it!
Ok but what type of steel ?.. Big difference between 1045 and 4340
don't laugh but I got a Lagun FTV2s with MX2 prototrak.. I am learning what I can (started manual milling) and am I think enough into the learning curve to start running the CNC .. I have the pendant programing mostly figured out but I want to run stuff on a computer where I can work easier.. I have no idea what kind of software would be sufficient for my basic 2 axis work..
this is titans of cnc HHHHHHHHHHUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUHHHHUHHHHHHHHH ;D
What happened to Dana. Does he not work for them anymore?
I taught my programmers to push it, but you fail to tell us what tolerance you are able to keep over a long run. .001 or .005 or ? it does matter,
Every time you say backslash, you actually mean slash… There ain’t no backslashes on the web, only in Windows.
Hey men i like yours Chanel ..i like machins and i am work un a Biesse. I from Colombia and i like a shirt
Check out OSG ADO-TRS drills
greetings from germany titan and the whole team :D
funny thing: he said lets go lets do this - at that moment advertisment for datron HAHAHAHAHAHa for aluminium! THAT was like a joke ^^ but a thought how long can the endmill do this? did you cut with trochiodal milling?
This endmill is also very cheap
Actually 3 times cheaper than what we use and performs better
I think we need to rethink
Actually for the same endmill 280 Euros from Sandvik
Could you share parameters in stainless... Just broke 3 of those in 304...
camera guys reflection in the window lol
That drill goes through steel faster than I can cut through butter from my fridge
What type of steel...hard as m7 tool steel?
BOOOM!
81" with a .750 how deep?
Everyone is impressed it is threw steel. I want to know what kind of steel as there are about a million different grades. I am assuming it is not 4140.
was this live?!
Little bit of false advertising calling that 35 holes when there is actually only 28 but maybe he just can't count because it was still impressive.
How are you holding the tools?
What material was it?
Stewart's never been on camera before lol
what is that, 1018?
I feel so inadequate
