Love the truck bud, reminds me of my old 1985 GMC K1500 Sierra Classic that I fixed up with my father in law, painted it the same red and white two tone that you did! Now I got a 98 Chev K2500 Cheyenne that I'm hoping to get repainted soon as well!
Nice job! Righteous work. I just had my 1989 Chevy C1500 Silverado (which I bought new) restored and should get another 33 years out of it. (Hope I make it that long, I'm 73) Next, I'll be juicing up the stock 5.7 engine with a cam and probably the Edelbrock ProFlo 4 system. Good Luck with yours.
That’s awesome!! Haha I’m sure you will. Nice I’m pulling the engine this year and putting a GM crate in with headers and some performance parts! Thanks you too!
I have a 98. Going with the exact same color combo as it's always been my favorite. Nice to get a preview how it will look. Keep the truck forever. It'll last that long
Nice work! Beautiful rig, that's one you're going to want to hold on to for a long time, trust me. I own three standard cab OBS Chevy pickups, one of which was my first car (almost ten years ago now) and is about to go in for a frame off restoration to original condition. Thankfully the rust up here is nonexistent, so it should be all cosmetic unless I come across some electrical or mechanical issues I haven't found yet.
@@AlmostItalianBrothers it really is, I worked for a mining company in coastal Alaska where we had a bunch of OBS and squarebodies, the rust was absolutely brutal on some of them.
I have done a few of these trucks. They are a pleasure to work on and the most expensive part on the whole truck is the AC control on the dash. Currently freshening up a 454 to drop in a 1998 3500.
Great job on the truck. More kids your age should be doing the same thing. Maybe there would be a lot less crime. The only problem is it can get to be a very expensive hobby.

Thats one bad rig right there! I just bought a 93 single cab chevy k1500 5.7L very similar to what u got id love to do this to mine someday! May i ask about how much money you put into it after all said n done? Love the paint job! And the wheels

nice job, i rebuilding a 2500HD from 1988 , but here in belgium parts are expensive, the truck in lot worst condition as yours cost me 3500 euro's , many hours of welding and grinding went into it, now i'm starting the suspension , hope it will be as nice as yours !!
@@AlmostItalianBrothers Glad to hear that. I'm not trying to invest a lot in equipment so I'm glad to hear you could make a video that good with your phone. Sweet wheels brother! Good job! Keep on truckin' 👍

Nice truck! what size wheel and tire is that? Did you have to buy interior parts such as dash components and if so where did you get them? I picked up a 95 K1500 in remarkable shape. Nothing wrong with paint interior except a crack in the middle if the dash and small section of defog vent broken. Not a big deal but like t replace it if I can find one.
What kind of paint did you use? If it’s that rubber undercoating be very careful because rocks will chip it and it’ll start to peel and water will get under it and sit and completely rot out the frame without you even realizing it’s an issue. Happened to my ranger and the body still looks great but the frame is thrashed. Look into Fluid Film. Some places apply it but you can just buy it at home depot. It’s the best stuff I’ve found to keep off the rust. You do need to apply it more often but it’ll save your frame and your pocket in the long run. It looks like your in snow country so salt is even worse with that rubber undercoating. It’s fun living in the rust belt haha. Hope this helps.
I used Chassis Saver and Rust-Oleum, both dry really hard, no rubber. Haha yeah, I actually moved to VT in August so it’s even worse up here!! I’m pulling the motor sometime this year and I’m really thinking about doing a frame swap due to the frames condition. Depends how much time I have! Thanks for the comment.
Just the FlowMaster muffler test, we moved so we are working on our new shop so we can replace the engine and “finish” the truck! There will be a video on that but probably next year. We have another channel called Vermonters too
