Yummy! I agree with you re: erythritol. I hate how it re-crystallizes and gets "crunchy" in baked goods. Never mind that cooling effect. Yucky. That's why I'm moving away from it and going with an allulose/stevia/monk fruit blend.
Your recipes are amazing to watch!! I still have a lot of weight to lose. Are these recipes designed more for maintenance, or can they be used even while trying to lose weight?
It depends. Some can still enjoy a nightly keto treat and still loose weight (as long as they aren’t going overboard with carbs or calories). Others have to limit them to occasional enjoyment. I say, go ahead and have them if you find that it keeps you from grabbing a sugar filled treat. And if you start to notice a weight loss stall or even gain, then scale back.
Your recipes are awesome! Its applicable to a mom like myself who is doing low carb keto alone in my family. I know you had a youtube video in the past regarding what do we bake or bring to the party for only ourselves so that we don't feel out of place as most foods are areas that I cannot eat. I kept searching for previous videos I have watched and I am lost. Please let me know. Thank you!!
I feel you!! I’ve been there before too. Just go slow. Make healthier swaps and then when your in the right headspace, make the switch. At least that’s what works for me. This way I don’t find that I get discouraged or down on myself for not being 100%. It’s better to have a good relationship with food and not feel like you are depriving yourself. I find that i tend to make better choices overall when I know that I have a choice to eat healthier non-processed carbs or not. For example, going out for sushi, by telling myself that it’s okay to have some rolls with rice and giving myself a choice, I actually find that I would rather have the keto choice and select rolls with no rice or sashimi. It’s a weird mindset thing that I have noticed with myself 😆
When you are on a low carb/ keto diet, you need more sodium because you aren’t releasing a ton of insulin. Insulin is what causes you to reabsorb sodium and other electrolytes from the kidney (which is also why you get high blood pressure). No insulin, all your electrolytes get flushed out so you need to replace them. I don’t always have a whole pack. Sometimes I just have half a pack.
That looks great! I might make these for my neighbor and me. She might be coming over to the low carb side if I keep asking her to sample my foods. Muahahahahaha!
Love your channel. I've never been food at baking so my question is I see alot of keto dessert recipes that include both Almond and coconut flower. What is the reason in having both of these flours, why not just one or the other? Lol
Love so many of your recipes and enjoy your videos. Couple issues though: 1) this recipe shows 44 servings. Should that be 24? I made these tarts today and got 26. 2) any chance that pictures of your recipe could be included in the printable screen? By the way, I only needed 2 lemons to get more than a 1/2 cup of juice. Is that weird?
@@KetoFocus Yes, a mini muffin tin and a 2” cutter. The tarts were very good. Can’t imagine making them half as thick. Maybe that was my mistake. Noticed that the sweetener was a bit gritty the next day, but we can’t buy allulose in Canada. Would Bocca Sweet powdered be better than the powdered Swerve that I used?
Love your recipes!! Great videos!! Keep the summer recipes coming!! Thank you 😊
I’m glad you liked the video 😀 I do have some more summer recipes coming over the next few months!

This looks delicious gonna make this one❤️

*Your tips and recipe ideas are fantastic, and I can't wait to try them!*
Aww 🥰 Thank you!!!
I made her lemon bars and they were perfect. I will be making this!
Wonderful! Glad you liked the lemon bars 😁
This looks DELISH!! Thank you for all you do for this community!! I ordered LMNT through your link!! ❌⭕️
Sadly you cant get allulose or monkfruit sweetner in Belgium
Lemon curd is the great keto secret. I just made some yesterday. I wish I could make it without cooking the yolks.
Yeah, it’s kind of a pain to have to cook it on the stove, but so good
I needed to restock on my LMNT so I decided to purchase through your link. 😊
These look amazing. But if you're short on time, try the Slim Fast Keto Lemon Drops. They're a pretty good lemon pastry snack.

I can't wait to try this recipe🎉 I just adore 🥰 you.
I can't make it through my day without LMNT! I Love grapefruit!!
What can I use instead of coconut flour? I am allergic to it.
Can you use powdered egg yolks?
I’ve never thought about that. It would definitely make it easier.
@@KetoFocus I'll give it a shot and let you know how it turns out! 😉
@@marcellecostanza1777 I'd love to know how it goes! I have the powdered egg yolks already for a bread recipe:)

@ketofocus, why is it so hard to get back on keto? 😢 help!

Isn't a 1000 mg of sodium and awful lot of sodium in one day?

Can you replace rice vinegar with another?
You can substitute with white vinegar
Can you substitute the lemons for limes? If yes, does that change the net carb total?
I think that should work. I don’t think it would change the net carbs. I think lemons are limes are similar in carb count.
LOL. The June 23 episode of good housekeeping. Pretty funny.
I am rolling at your comic sensibility - the specificity of the magazine issue cracked me up. 😂
Can I do the pie crust in a Nutribullet?
Yes, as long as it fits. Just do small pulses and don't over mix so the butter doesn't melt into the crust. You want chunks of butter.
That looks great! I might make these for my neighbor and me. She might be coming over to the low carb side if I keep asking her to sample my foods. Muahahahahaha!
Great recipe!
Can you freeze these, without the fruit topping? They look absolutely delicious! Thank you for all your hard work.
Yes! You can! You can freeze the complete finished tarts and you can freeze the pie crust unbaked and the lemon curd. 😄
Omg, love the tartlet crust recipe! Gracias
Fantastic! I'm so making this!
Wonderful ❤️ Enjoy!!

Anyone know the reason for using two different flours? Maybe I just need to ask Google.

Are you still a pharmacist ?
Yes I am. I don’t currently work as a pharmacist but keep up my license in case I decide to go back.
Can you use white wine vinegar?
Yes!
