im planning a trip to Vegas in two weeks. I would have it mounted to my shirt or hat. its small and portable, however at that. price I'm almost more inclined to get the GoPro Hero 12 for $299
I’m looking for a small camera to film inside malls, for mall walking videos. Would you say the go3s could do indoor light well or would the ace pro be better? It looks like this little camera does quite well in indoor light!? (unlike my go pro, which is great in sunshine and terrible in lower or artificial light).
So far I have only ever used GoPro 10 and Osmo Action 2 and 3. And just recently the Insta360 X4 for my holiday in Asia. GoPro and Osmo Action are real nice for what I use them for (POV shots type of videos). but are still bulky but they are good for cameras. The Insta 360 X4 is also very good for my usage (360 degree video while hiking or in a farm, or in nice scenery). The downside was the fact that it overheats. Specially in Asia where it is already hot, the camera just shuts down. And it is not small either. Not big but it is definitely not small! Still it is a fun camera to use. now with the GO 3 and the 3S the small size really makes it nice because for one its not as big as the gopro or osmo action, you can put it on your hat, or on your shirt while doing some stuff and you can take POV videos with it. I guess my issue then is that the battery life without its pod is a bit small. But ye that size is very convenient.
Hello Please tell me, it is very important for me... which camera should I choose insta 360 go 3s or ace pro??? I shoot vlogs... I am a truck driver... thank you very much

Be thankful you did not wait. This 4K edition is heavier, overheats faster and therefore records for a shorter time span! The spec they advertise for is 1080P/ 30FPS, taken indoors out of the sun. But they don’t tell you that, they just talk about the 4K capture, higher bit rate and new recording feature. Although, non of the new capabilities mature if there is a problem with overheating 🥵 and therefore a loss in capture time! Then you must wait for the camera to cool down, which is additional lost time. The ONLY way to compensate for this is to leave the camera in the action pod, which totally defeats the purpose in buying the system!!! Might as well purchase the GoPro with better battery life, a wider angle of view, clear shots that are not over sharpened and has better color reproduction right out of the box, without needing to make any fiddly adjustments!!!
I have returned mine, image quality is perfect but now freeframe mode is useless, due to the new lens size, now It doesnt allow any reframe , tilt, rotate or keyframes.

Gopro overheat and shut down. I've lost footage because of it. Gopro are OK, but the idea of this is you can take camera out of pod and get creative and it is a little less intrusive. It may not be for everyone but I'm enjoying it so far. Along with my Sony zve10, gopro 12 and osmo pocket 3. Each do a different job. I think. 😉
It is a massive problem that you can't read files directly from the camera using a cable. It is wifi only and you need the app. The only slight work around is the quick reader which is another £45.99 and is sold out. Really this is a scam because working without it is not good.

Your video is very misleading because the new 4K model Files are so large and it requires so much compressing of the file when recording that the battery overheats in the unit shuts off. Additionally you’ll only get a 15 minute video before the battery is dead if it doesn’t overheat. And a 15 minute clip can be as large as 4 GB. When you use the application and download it to your phone it takes forever. And if it’s running on it’s on battery power you can forget about using the camera when you’re done transferring the file. You have to wait for the camera to cool down before returning it to its home base unit to be recharged Which takes additional time. GoPro is the very best; smaller files, better audio/ video, and it does not overheat and shut off while it use!!!!!!
You are joking, right? GoPros do not overheat or shutdown? LOL. And smaller files for the same resolution just means lower bitrates, which means lower quality for the same codec. The Go 3S max bitrate is 120 Mbps, which is not higher than GoPros max bitrate, so the files cannot be bigger. The GO 3S is obviously much smaller and lighter than any GoPro, that's it's point.
