The funny thing is: I expected Lewis to stay out.
But Bono played it classy. Lewis was told: Bottas pitted, verxtappen pitted, Norris may have pitted! That sealed the deal.
In this instance, the team had to convince the drivers because there was only 4 laps to go.
And somehow I don’t feel bad for Norris. He didn’t give his team a chance to convince him. He literally shut them down.

When Lewis is informed he can pit, and stay ahead of Max, he decides that finishing on top of Max is more important than risking a crash, which would be big blow against his title chances, meanwhile, Norris is unwilling to let go of a first time 1st place finish over a much more secure 2nd-3rd finish.

This is being blown way out of proportion. Lando has always said he doesn’t like a lot of radio messages while driving and often asks for silence. He is under the most pressure he has ever been leading with a chance of winning for the first time. He’s got a seven time world champion behind in a faster car constantly pressuring him. He’s trying to concentrate and he’s getting information he doesn’t care about regarding other cars. Drivers have said way worse things on the radio before. Remember that press conference where Lewis was asked about swearing on the radio and Seb defended him saying in the heat of the moment you’re not going to say things in a nice way.
