I was born with a speech impairment called a cleft palate specifically I wasn't born with a soft palate so I have a constructed soft palate. It's a miracle from God that I can sing so beautifully. I hope to be an inspiration to you. 🙂

This was my ‪@Spotify‬ top song of 2023. Probably for good reason. 12 year old Emily needed this song and ever since I was 12 years old I needed the reminder that I’m still breathing, that I’m still alive. Through grief, pain, anxiety, and loss I’m still breathing! I may not have been thriving but I was surviving thanks be to God. Even though I was down and out at a young age I knew I had so much more life to live. So I fought not just to survive in life but to thrive. Luckily God has and continues to fight for me! As I look back on those dark times growing up I realized that I wasn’t fighting alone. God and His love helped me to survive and to continue to fight.
So even though I feel like I’m still fighting, I know I’ve come so far from where and who I was at 12 years old and that God was and is still with me, fighting for me.
