17:13 i’m from Springfield and horseshoes are bomb. Also, sometimes you don’t put bread underneath the meat or you can do fries meat, then cheese or not sprinkle instead of sauce it’s all up to your preference. Some little history is that it was made by the Leland family also known as Leland grow. That’s where they used to live in the Leland hotel in downtown Springfield, and it kind of grew from there.
The Clinton "Lumber King" character imo is the better version of that logo. Not ever been to one of their games but probably saw them play Burlington or the Quad CIties in High-A before the Minor League restructure
I was just in Terre Haute and I did not see the Clabber Girl Museum open, nor any mention of Rex Coffee. in the stores. I live in Indianapolis and never came across it in local stores either.
Interesting! Since I posted this video it looks like their website is finally live and they're back on Twitter and Instagram. It does appear that their coffee is shipped from Georgia, however, via their web store. I might have to buy another bag and see what the deal is. I did find this interesting article from the Indianapolis Business Journal highlighting Founders Grounds in Speedway, Indiana which apparently serves Rex Coffee due to its history and relevance to the Indy 500. Tony Hulman, the grandson of Clabber Girl founder Herman Hulman, bought the Speedway in 1945 and saved it from demolition. The Hulman owned both the Indy Motor Speedway and the Clabber Girl Corp. until 2019, when they sold them off. www.ibj.com/articles/new-speedway-coffeeshop-to-pay-tribute-to-motor-speedways-history?fbclid=IwAR2cFAAQzMq-YIF8raruTe-YU3J6D54gSEr8bo7qmDxeRwj3xQ_Z7ba3o7s
Great videos. Can you do a logo breakdown on the Cal Ripken Collegiate Baseball League. Unfortunately, most of the logos a fairly underwhelming in my opinion. Would love to get your thoughts
The paints reminds me of the horse from the Simpson episode when Bart starts horse racing. It’s October 1 And Rex coffee is 5. Months late. Still no new website
Not holding my breath over here 😂You are absolutely right about the horse from the Simpsons. Had to Google because I'm not familiar with the episode. Spot on.
Enjoyed the whole Rex investigation arc, lol. Buying the actual coffee and making it was a really cool decision for the video
I’m from right outside springfield and the horse shoe is my favorite thing ever. Also the corn crib stadium is awesome too
Miss when the Lorain County Ironmen were in this league!

Gotta add the Thrillville Thrillbillies to this list!!! Newly announced team for this league with a new stadium name of Mnt. Dew Field.

Nice, which they’re was some teams from KY
Me too
Alton should change their team name. Giants would be a natural name for them as the tallest man ever was from Alton.
