They are both excellent games with unique takes on the Wipeout formula. Redout focuses more on pure racing while Pacer has a larger focus on combat. I think the track design flows a little better on Redout since the tracks a generally a bit wider and you're not constantly bombarded with weapons. Natually, I would get both along with Wipeout Omega Collection but I would say Redout has the edge.
