With how nice the movement is even as a Medium build, I enjoyed the FCAR after a bit getting used to it, empty a mag, dip out reload, mine up, bait, easy to build around your playstyle, and it needs new modes, solo is good for new people trying this game out for sure.
Any tips for FCAR I really wanna enjoy it but the AK just feels like it's more reliable for more than one kill
i played Light for weeks but then the last few days ive been doing like you describe with Medium, and getting my best numbers ever haha. Mines are unbelievable, just bait people onto them

The extra bullets allow you to kill multiple people and generally throw down more damage, but if you learn how to use the scar you can use it at longer ranges unlike the akm which is more so mid range.
Solos seems very cool and fast paced, I thought the main issue with it was going to be big maps and not enough fights but it looks good
the deposit and vaults attract players so the fights revolve around them
I was pleasantly surprised too though I only played for an hour so can't judge the experience across all maps
well the amount of people hasnt changed. and theres still the poi that still function just like regular bank it
a 5v5 gamemode would probably turn this game into one of the most popular games.
I really hope they lean more into their battlefield roots by including a ticket/remaining coins based mode. 5v5 king of the hill would also be amazing.

The key figure to look out for is where the player count will stabilize. Most games will experience the highest player counts at launch. These player counts are usually much larger than what even the best games can sustain.
Of course there's the single player game exception. It's OK to put down a game once your finished with it. As long as it sold well it can be deemed a success barring any extenuating circumstances.
2 weeks out from this comment and the player count dropped by 126K in January, apparently its now down under 40K which is over a 50% drop in player count from its January peak. Honestly it sucks because if this game came to Game Pass it would be a hit instantly. Really hope this game can survive.

Any tips/tricks for someone new to The Finals?
Season 2 needs a lot more content or casuals will get bored . Imagine a mode with 6vs6 and other ltms
They need to add more classes imo, like more options to choose from. Or like some loot crates to earn weapon skins or character skins
Strong agree. Embark Studios have a great foundation with The Finals! Would be a shame to see it go to waste due to stubbornness or the devs being unwilling to adapt or change their vision based on community feedback. Time will tell...

This mode defo improves movement for the engagements forced to reload with fcar . Be gd for new players to learn when to dip or figth . Love the mode .

Yo tomo if you slide before hitting a jump pad you’ll go a lot farther. Or put it on an angled surface to really yeet yourself outta there
I use recon scan the most to get out of fights quickly
If you pause around 7:52 you can see the Stun Gun clearly miss Tom, it looks like a little firework 🎆
Considering that it only has a 12 meter reach, I have no idea how in the latency that stun managed to tag him at all. 😵💫

The range on that stun gun is a little ridiculous. Its a little unbelievable that it can hit from a whole rooftop away.
I have really resented the wave of battle royale clones, but this game hits a really cool vibe. It just ties alot of really good mechanics together with solid gunplay and movement, its what people wanted. And much like Lethal Company game, it has that true video game spirit. Its just a good game.

I just did my first Solo Bank It. I can see the Recon Senses becoming a huge meta in this game mode, no doubt, because it gives you an amazing tactical advantage and awareness of players in the local part of the arena. With it, I was able to avoid threats and pick stations with no one around. While most players had their deathmatch fun, I stayed aside of all big noises, grabbing free vaults, and escaped out of any gunfight if possible. I am no way a great player in sense of gunplay or movement, but I surprisingly became the MVP my very first match of this game mode.
Tomo, you need to get on the game as a trio with WillfromWork and Jack for some tournament shenanigans
ah awesome finally! I've been loving this game but going in solo with randos has made me rage so hard. I get so many teammates that haven't got a clue what their doing!
It's rough, but raging will definitely not make you play better.
Just look at it as practice when you get teammates that aren't that good, and try to carry them.
Focus on yourself, and you'll have a lot more fun!

This patch has almost everything from my wish list and I am very impressed with Embark and The Finals. Feel-good balance changes, a solo game mode, some new cosmetics, more anti-cheat improvements. Its very refreshing to have a game dev that is on the level with fans, listens to their community feedback from day 1, and gives them what they want ASAP. They really set this game up for success. All they have to do is keep supporting it like this and it will do well for itself.
Also, I have a blast in Solo Bank It. There's alot of equipment that I don't get to use very often in team sweats that are very strong in solo play. Its refreshing.
Patch did almost nothing useful besides making barrels heavy. There's much more to be done. Being happy with mediocre patches is going to get us more of them. Speak less.

Hmm I think I will have to give this a go...I dropped playing this game for the same reason you gave in this video that this game is hard to get a good squad. I tend to find this is the case with all small player/team games, which is why I like games like Battlefield with large player counts because it doesn't matter so much if some of the players are not good.
100% worth trying again now that Solo's are here. Hopefully they stick around permanently!
Yeah I think this game is very basic or minimal, and the maps are annoying mazes trying to find a way to make a cash deposit...But I like the destruction.

Like I said in the last video, they take a long time to get footage for and aren't something I want to crank out frequently for that reason. Especislly since I keep getting the same map 99% of the time and I'm often going up against brand new players which can take the fun out of it for me and I just end up feeling bad for ruining their first experiences with the game 😅

The nuke has been nerfed. So has the RPG. And C4. And mesh shield. Heavy got the worst of the nerfs.
Light got a cloak nerf, and a stun gun nerf.
Medium (arguably the best class already) got no real nerfs.

Roger that. I usually run the Zipline in team based modes so I figured the jump pad would be better for solos but I need to work on my pad distance clearly 😅
