I ordered a 2-door OBX in Rapid Red with SAS and I love what I saw here in this video. I really like the flat black hood as well as the wheels. Now...if I could just get my hands on my Bronco. Thanks for sharing.

Bronco dropped the ball on 2 things: All models should be available with a rubberized floor and the rear swing-gate should've been a tailgate. If that's the extent of it, that's nothing. GREAT JOB on the build!
They are supposed to be offering a slide-out tailgate (for laying under stars presumably) next year. That might have factored into the swing-gate decision. I think they should offer the option to upgrade to mid or lux package while keeping the manual. You can do it with the Badlands, I don't really understand why they couldn't do it with say, the Black Diamond I ordered. Either way really excited!
Tried reserving a bronco won’t be available till almost 2023. 😭 this being treated like a super car. Wow.
Find a dealer that still has available allocations for 2021. That way worse.case.you.get an early 2022 arriving in Decber or January 2022.

Please include details on the slide out tailgate option. Ford dealerships have no information for consumers at the moment. Is it bolt on aftermarket, or like 4Runner’s tailgate does it need to be ordered direct from the factory? Thank you!
It will be available from Ford as an accessory. I'm sure the aftermarket will make one very similar and much stronger anyways

The problem with the box, is it covers up and prevents acces to the area where the factory jack is and the other storage area. It would not have been to hard to design the drawer to allow access to those areas without removal. I have designed one, just haven’t got around to building it yet.

Mine came stock with 31” general grabber ATs and I think I’m just going to go up to 33’s after watching this vid . Was originally thinking 35’s but these 33’s fill up that wheel well nice
It's cool and all these specific 1 off models are able to be shown but until actual models get off the product line and into ppls hands all these are basically concepts.

Ordered June 22. 4 door, outer banks, no sas, lux. Was told "see you in a year" by the dealer.
Add some cool tube doors or the doors from the pre production model and ur set
See we have some aftermarket accessories and parts. New lights, light bar, engine, tires, frame, gas tank, seats, steering wheel, paint, etc etc.

Traditionally at ford 5 to 7 years. Midlife slight refresh is well in the midlife so 2 to max 4 years
I would say 4 years till refresh, maybe 5. Once demand slows they will refresh it

Yes, all reservations will be filled before dealer stock production units are made. A few "mannequins" will made to display at the dealership but they CANNOT sell them till all reservations are filled. If you want one, reserve now, you may get it late 22.

Those rear seats look very uncomfortable. Why does jeep and now the bronco make them at a 90 degree angle? And no option to recline it to a different position?
Nothing about these vehicles is designed for anything other than off-road use. Before long the Bronco is going to be just like the Wrangler: everywhere, lights flashing underneath, 40” spinners with fender delete, etc. I have a 2021 Reservation but I think I’m gonna bounce. Too much money and not enough build options, mostly comfort option.

Trickle-down Bronco-nomics.
I was hoping to see a little more performance upgrades from Ford "performance", its a great looking rig, but that stuff Ford performance did was just cosmetic, what performance about it (besides different tires which any tire shop does). Roush would be the shop I'd like to see get their hands on a bronco. But that aside, it was a good walk around video.
I was doing a build about two weeks ago on a two door base. I equipped the base with all the underbody protection and modular bumper with brush guard.
I also equipped it with the roof rails. The price was about 33k with the options. No diff locks and the steel wheels. It was also the manual transmission version.
I would really like to own the one I built. About a week later, most of the options available to equip on the base were removed.
Probably still available through dealer installation, but I basically built it ala-cart. So it was close in price to a base with sasquatch or the next model up without sasquatch.
No engine performance upgrades available from Ford Performance so far as I have found, but really, not necessary for what it is. The aftermarket will eventually offer plenty for any engine options.
If I had one, the engine would remain stock at least until the warranty expired. Then I would do my own work.
With 300ft lbs of torque and 33" tires on the manual transmission version, it would be capable enough, no extra power needed.
Maybe a consideration with the smaller engine, lift, and 35" tires, but not certain with the crawler gear. Very low gearing for a vehicle that only has one transfer case with low and high.
I think the base traction control would also be fine, but I also chose the overhead switches just in case I would want to add ARB's, though I'm sure there will be other options.
Still, I just used the builder for the sake of fun. Ford built a good vehicle with this one.
Wranglers, Bronco's, will be the most capable Stockers on most trails. Ford Rangers and ZR2's next, then probably the full size variants, but I say that order due to a lack of maneuverability with full size trucks.
The electric Hummer and the Rivian 1T will also be very good on the trail.
So seat covers, flares, wheels, a soft top and hood wrap.

There is lots of talk and speculation about putting 33's on an Outer Banks. Does anyone monitoring this channel have any details on if this is a stock OBX from a suspension perspective or if a lift was added to accommodate the 33's and what the offset or back spacing if any is on the wheels to make 33's work.
Kinda irks me that you have to order leather seats in order to have rear cup-holders. I wish they'd just have them standard on all 4-door models, since the whole reason to get a 4-door is that you're going to have actual people in the back.

Save a lot of cash and just get the black diamond or below models. There's no sense getting things like the sway bar disconnect, trail assist, or all the electronics or cameras. You'll probably be happy with the smaller engine as well.

Luckily Jeep has been around the last few decades. When Ford turned the Bronco into an oversized turd and Chevy ruined the Blazer you could still buy a CJ5, CJ7, Wranglers etc. I will be taking a close look at the Bronco (when they are actually available) but no hate for Jeep from me. Because of Jeep... top down, doors off, and even windshield down off-roading has been available since the 40s.
@@jerryjeromehawkins1712 all very true, and im a previous owner of a built up JKU. not hating at all on the wrangler, just saying that ford took dang near everything about the wrangler and one-upped it. this competition is good because we have seen jeep answer ALREADY with more appealing models, all be them insanely priced models.

They could have added a level kit or lift to this, but I think you can do 33s without those.

I've been holding out for the Bronco because wranglers are made like trash now and anyone who buys anything from fiat is looking for problems. I had to do some soul searching because of the late Bronco release and truth be told, I never cared for "wheeling for fun" (breaking shit) anyways. I had 3 TJs and used them more for camping and overlanding. So, I ordered a Subaru Crosstrek (manual, fk the CVT). I might have to take the easy line with no low range, I won't have the cool manly man look of a wrangler or bronco on 35's, but I'll get good mileage and the aftermarket seems reasonable. It will also be nice to buy wheels and tires that don't break the bank.
