Hey All,
I meant to post earlier, but we were traveling this morning, and then the day got away from me once we got back to San Francisco.
For anyone curious about the technical fidelity (or lack thereof) for this episode, basically, we were at Rooster Teeth, we didn't have our equipment, we borrowed space and gear from some kind folks there, we had a ton of technical difficulties, and we're lucky the episode happened at all. The audio is being picked up off of a shotgun mic since our lapels died 20 minutes in (we didn't even realize it until near the end); the video quality and set "design" are pretty impromptu, as well, as you can see.
Our calculation was you'd rather a show than no show, so we delivered as best we could.
As for us, and me specifically, well... we were out in the hot Texas sun shooting from mid-morning until late afternoon. I was pretty much dead by the time we turned the camera on. It is what it is, but again, we wanted to deliver something rather than nothing. Needless to say, we'll be back to the usual show next week.

I usually play my Vita every day, unless I have something else big going on in my life. I use it probably twice as much as my PS4, at least. Weird, I know, but I love me some Vita.
I'm finally back. I left several months ago. It's great to be back at Kinda Funny. I missed so many videos. I will always support this great channel. Greg Miller is one of the greats.

+Jermaine Mason As odd as this may sound, I actually haven't played an actual game since mid 2014. I've played some demos at Target and Best Buy, but thats it. I've been meaning to get back to them, but i'm so busy right now. It's really unfortunate that I missed out on a great year for gaming, 2015. Either way, I will always respect video games. At least I still have Kinda Funny and IGN to keep me informed on video games. I probably will return, but I don't know when.

I would apreciate you read the whole statement of Phil Spencer before quoting headlines Colin. I expect better from you. He was commenting on the idea of only having small updates to the hardware like PS4.5 is rumoured to be. He said when and if they do an update, it will be a much larger step that will make an actual difference in game quality. Don't take my word on it though, read the actual articles instead of the headlines, we all make that mistake sometimes.

Greg defense the PS4.5 comes off as being a corporate apologist. It's not outrage to be skeptical. Blanket dismissal of valid questions is getting old.
I appreciate what you are saying. I didn't feel it was too corporate. I was (and still am to an extent) dread against 4.5. But Greg's point about us not knowing yet is an intetesting one. I will now put views on hold until at least Sony come out and tell us what it is first.

Bought a vita back in November after about 7 days at the hospital, It helped a lot for the other 5 days I stayed there ! Decided to buy it after watching you guys saying the Vita was a great thing, and I agree !

I would also recommend backing up the data to your PC, especially those who have a bunch of DLC purchased (like P4D or Senran Kagura), as trying to queue all of those up for download is pretty much a hassle. Restoring it from PC (and then your save from PS+) is much more convenient.
Star Ocean Second Story for me is a must play for rpg fans. Such an underappreciated game.

I definitely recommend the OLED Vita. I actually bought mine refurbished from Gamestop for cheap. Nothing wrong with it at all. Maybe some scratches on the back but the screen is perfect. I just use a "shammy" (microfiber cloth) to keep it clean and protect it in its case.
Drinking from a Styrofoam cup is exactly the sort of thing I'd expect Colin to do.

A boritto is soft shell wrapped with no openings. A taco is just like the hard shell but it's a soft shell opened at the top.
I haven't watched it yet but I just saw the title and thought "how did you know!". I just bought a Vita last week and have a pretty good backlog from PS plus.
Persona 4 is the best game and my most fav game I ever played in my life. I enjoyed persona 3 fes too :) can't wait for persona 5! Instant game of the year for me

I got a PS Vita Aqua Blue on Christmas. Awesome handheld. It's pretty great on the go, especially while on break in college.

I finally went back and played the PSone Classic Parasite Eve. I was very pleasantly surprised with how well it held up. it was definitely dated in certain ways, but i had a blast playing though it.

I used to love my Vita to death but nothing I want to play comes out on it anymore...barely touched this thing since Dancing All Night
Love the show...but just a personal opinion: I'd like for you guys to elaborate more on what you've been playing, games you're looking forward to etc. It's such a drag listening to Colin read off game pitches for what seems like such a long period of time. I can't say this is how all of your viewers/listeners feel.

I feel like with the new console generation the minimum time between games is now 3 Years, it even shows with Call of Duty now having 3 teams working on Call of Duty to get a copy released every year and Assassins Creed Skipping a year this year as well as having multiple teams working on the franchise. It seems the only annualization from one developer now happens to be sports games and a lot of times they suffer for that. This info just dawned onto me recently, wondering what everybody else thinks.
Yeah, you raise a very good point. PS3s consistent release of AAA exclusives from 2009 were the reason it chewed through Xbox 360's units sold lead of 8 million to eventually leave both systems pretty much neck and neck by 2013 and PS4s launch. I thought we would see the same thing with PS4 too but for whatever reason Sony's studios haven't been as frequent.
Sony doesn't have to push their first parties as much this generation since they have such good relationships with third parties like Activision with COD and Destiny, as well as EA with Battlefront, among others. So it isn't as important for them to move exclusives all the time. I miss the PS3 days too, getting a AAA exclusive every month or two was so great.

Vita's cool. I have the white one that came with Assassin's Creed (got it for the color, don't like AC.) It has some good games. Persona 4 Golden is one of my all-time favorite games. Tearaway and Danganronpa are pretty good. I've recently been playing Trails of Cold Steel and I really like it.
Life is strange GO would be weird but could be time based puzzles. Can't wait for a Dues Ex GO though.

i just got my vita and im so mad im so late to the party. i wanted to get one when it came out but i was broke.
I completely agree with Colin on the PS4.5/PS4K. I fear that some games will eventually be only released on the improved PS4. Why wouldn't developers take advantage of the increased power? Why make more work for themselves by developing for an extra skew of the console?

Many many congrats & my respects mate. I know that's one of the most infamous Trophy lists to complete. Isn't it always a lot better to finally earn very difficult and rare trophies & Platinums than piss easy ones that anyone could achieve?
It's why it annoys me when I hear others say they'll only go for a platinum if it's easy.
Thank you, I was very proud of myself especially since I have been working on that plat since it came out in Nov 2014. For me getting a platinum is something I do if I really love the game It was the same with the Last of Us. I love that game so I went for the plat. I think most people go for easy plats just to see their PS level go up.
VITA RECOMMENDATION....Get the grip for it, my best choice ever. Hands use to cramp up all the time, now its like holding a controller.

No, I haven't. There's nothing on Vita that makes me want one. Plus, my neck starts to hurt after half an hour of handheld gaming. And I don't do any sort of traveling/commuting. GBA and DS are 2 of my favorite gaming systems ever, but if I ever play on a handheld these days, I just keep thinking "I'd rather play this on my TV..."

Persona 4 Golden, as with everyone else, may have been my entry to the glorious world of PS Vita, but it certainly isn't the only reason the system is so loved by me. I love Japanese games as I feel they are the only games now that don't require day one patchs, season passes or major and numorous bug fixes post launch. The vita is basically a portal into all things Japan when it comes to 99% of its games. JRPG's especially are plentiful and mostly incredible on the Vita. Trails in the Sky, Trails of Cold Steel, Digimon Story, Ys, all Final Fantasy's up to X-2 and of course all the Persona games all playable on this wondrous machine. Put simply if you love JRPG's and to a lesser extent Japanese games in general, the Vita is pure gaming nirvana for you and you should purchase one imediately if you haven't done already.

If a video is large, like more than 60mins long, Vitas memory isn't big enough to stream it.
