Hi mate im thinking of joining the british army buddy and i want to a vehicle mechanic for the B A KEEP UP THE GOOD CONTENT QUICK QUESTION CAN I STILL JOIN WITH AUTISM THANKS JOE
Mostly depends on your medical history with autism if you don’t or haven’t taken medication for it in the past x amount of years then it shouldn’t be a problem they just wanna make do re it it’s t going to slow you down for get in the way of anything but if not I’m sure they can waiver it off and get you enlisted either way. I know it not the same but I was “diagnosed” with ADHD at a young age but never took meds when I told my recruiter he said if a doctor didn’t tell me I had it then I didn’t have it so unless it comes up at MEPS don’t say anything if you feel like you it’s not that’s serious. Whatever it takes to get in. GoodLuck future soldier. I ship out the 2nd week of January for 91B also (mechanic).
Hey I came across your vids and I just subbed bc one day I hope to be a wheeled vehicle mechanic as well I been into the army for about 4-5 years and it’s always got my attention I’m 15 years old and right when I graduate high school I want to do this because it looks super fun. Hopefully my dream comes true I might see you in a few years 💯👀
i love the channel glad i found it !! i have some questions i like this mos cause its benifcial for my future , plus im a car guy love cars and before thinking of joining army wanted to be a mechanic . If i were to pick this mos the contract would be 4 years correct ? and then could i use the GI bill to go to automotive school and learn more skills and find a well paying job ? sorry is lot , couldnt find much info online . thanks :)
Yes, I did a video with Aaronbtv on his channel about an overall review where I answer a lot of questions about the mos. If I were in your position I would join and it’d be about 3 and a half years
Idk what unit you in but I be working 06:30 to1900, if anyone is thinking of becoming a mechanic most of the time is not like this, you will work all day everyday
I see videos of army mechanics physically being in the shop for long hours. But most of the videos show they screw around a lot. For example, in this video they are making skate board out of the crate the transmission comes in. In a real shop in the real world, you wouldn't have time for this. Obviously not being paid flat rate. LOL.
Soldiers do this so if they get killed or captured in combat the enemy won’t take the tags and they’ll still be identified after. That’s what I’ve heard anyway lmao
It looks like to me it's the 4l80e transmission on those hummvee since I been in the automotive industry already for 2 years I'm going to the army as well 91bmos and probably going to bring home a "bad unit" and replace inspect it, probably replace bushings seals gaskets and put a billiet aluminum inputshaft as well sunnex valve body modification kit as well dill some holes to increase amount of fluid to bushings because some of those tend to fail for lack of lubrication overtime as they're clogged probably do an accumulator delete and get a good quality of clutch disk and steel plates and all with the modification being said it'll cost a total of 1200 dollars but worth it because it'll be able to handle 1200hp all day long boom can't wait to go
I'm not sure if an army mechanic is going to understand all that you said. In this video, they are just replacing a transmission. I doubt they get into rebuilding transmissions.
