The reason you warm up underwater is because water absorbs light and heat better than the air so in frozen areas, being underwater will keep you warmer than being out in the snow. This works irl too :)

your end result is correct, but not for the reason you are saying. when a material is undergoing a phase transition, like water becoming frozen, or ice melting, it will stay at the temperature of the phase transition. as more thermal energy is added or lost, it will simply proceed further along the phase transition one way or the other. example: 50% ice 50% water, add some heat, and it becomes 30% ice 70% water, but stays the same temperature, remove heat and it cycles back. so, in an arctic environment like subnautica where the ocean is freezing, the water will be near the freezing point, even if the surrounding atmosphere is far colder. becuase it's salt water it will be colder than the standard 32F or 0C, but you can easily have the water be something like 25F or -10C, while the atmosphere is more like -60F or -40C. so if you have an insulated dive suit you could easily survive in the icy water, while freezing outside the water
sadly, it has little to do with the absorption of light an heat of water vs air

2:00 I would assume that Robin is wearing a wet suit. It is water tight, allowing her to stay warm in cold water. But it is not air-tight, so the wind chill will rapidly draw heat from the body.

Watter is always stays wormer than air when air temperature can be below zero. In fact watter would turn into ice if that could be the case, but it holds temperature as well very good so it's temperature a lot higher then zero. Thats how life in ocean survive.

U just need to search more sea monkey nests. These creatures likes to collect fragments of anything. Btw these monkey will randomly steal what u are holding in ur hard(but i can steal it back) and sometimes will come and give u stuff. These monkeys are the key of the beginning
