Hey Gunnar, first of all thank for your great videos and innovations i follow with great passion. I found out for me that it is much easier, faster, cleaner, more stable and more protective to mount the glass rattle with a heat shrink tube. It takes less time to mount tubes on all hooks upfront than to tie in two monfofils, glue afterwards and glue again after some minutes with UV raisin on every hook as a first step. It looks much cleaner (even if fish surely do not care) . I use transparent heat schrink tubes. This is going nowhere and the glass is completely protected 360 degrees.
Just like to thank you! Tied my first ”choosen one” on swimbait hook 2/0 but just with plain hook, and black with just a hint of a few strands of thin flash, 9mm eyes last night and caught my first pike on fly this morning today, 41 inch and about 18 lbs. Hooked beautifully. Great work on that hook and thanks for all you do!
Really excited about trying this pattern here in Florida in both fresh and skinny salt water. Having issues tying the fuzzy fiber heads without “air gaps.” My Fuzzy fiber is 10-11 inch long and appears to be several inches shorter than your material. I may need to work with half lengths and not quarters to make the fibers lay down. The two I have built have a dry weigh of about 35 grains, 2+ grams. Once loaded with water I’m not certain how well these will cast on my 7 wt Clearwater rod.
Goodness, I just want to say thank you. You are my biggest influence in fly tying. And this video came at the perfect time, I just got done tying a million sex dungeons and the next batch I was going to tie was the chosen one (followed by the geaser). Even though I love composite loops I like the cheating method. 👏👏👏👏
Hey Gunnar, what is that pink eraser looking thing that is stopping the weed-less mono rig from moving up or down on the hook? Great tutorial! Thanks for posting!
So no dubbing loop on this pattern for the strung fuzzy fiber. What method do you prefer best, stacking or dubbing loop? Any pros/cons to each (e.g. stack for larger flies?)
man this is great! was actually looking for more swimbait designed flies, and found your mic drop streamer. (wonder how tht would look on this concept?) But was also wondering if we could ever get that shimmy when a swimbait falls? Anyway excited for the gamechanger style to come out!!
блин.... а я не додумался, хотя идея лежала на поверхности. Из титанового сплава (струна для титановых поводков) можно выполнить упругую часть в сборке. Она и зубами щуки не перекусывается и всетаки имеет упругость т.е. сохраняет прямолинейность.
solely a matter of availability - the results and functionality of the fiber are nearly the same, albeit the Squimpish has a slight crinkle to it likely do to the sewing process of weaving into the mat, so it fills in a bit nicer.

You are an artist man, taking tying into the next level with the little testing pool as well. Respect!
Wait.. so you're telling me I don't have to suck at dubbing loops anymore? Should have led out with that one. As always, much appreciated
Absolutely superb. A batch of 2/0s have just arrived so I will be playing with this pattern.
Another gem from Gunnar. Keep the good stuff coming buddy.

Don't forget to make video on UV LIGHTS and why you prefer the one you use .
Why? They all generally work.
Great video! Super cool techniques.
That's amazing. Love all your flys.
Great Video! Very informative and absolutely genius! Thanks for posting!
You rocks ! Wiml try this pattern for trout in slovenia

Truly next level! Thanks for sharing!
Have the new hooks they look great.
Awesome fly. Do not like weed guards on flies. Can't wait to try this. Just ordered the hooks
Awesome stuff, as usual. Any plans on selling material kits for these like you've done in the past?
SO innovative, as usual. Love the new hooks - on order. Please let me know where to purchase plug-in UV light. Love your video's.
Awesome Gunnar, thanks.
Absolutely amazing!
Dude! You’re a freakin’ genius!!!
Great video. What would be a good sub for Strung Fuzzy Fiber?
He has said before that it is meant to be a wool replacement itself, so rams wool would in theory be the effect
If you were going to tie this pattern on a 6/0 would you use a longer shank than you would with a 4/0?
Hey Gunnar, what is that pink eraser looking thing that is stopping the weed-less mono rig from moving up or down on the hook? Great tutorial! Thanks for posting!
That’s tight! I ordered some 2/0s, 4/0s, and 6/0s. Can’t wait to play with this awesome platform!
In your opinion, do you think 30lb mono could substitute for the 60lb?

I tied it. Been fishing it. Dances good if you do your part.
Will these hooks fit on the TRV vise?
What size is the mono you are tying on ? I missed that.
What vise do you use? I really like how the jaws are completely horizontal.
Having trouble finding a place to buy that 6/0 streamer hook. Any suggestions?
Does "strung fuzzy fibre" is the same thing as FLASH’N SLINKY FIBRE made by H2O?
Very cool - what size mono thread are you using? Thanks!

Probably sacrilegious, but I'm thinking that would also be beautiful to tie into a weighted hook to throw on a spinning rod. Nice video.
Very cool!
what is that push tool and how do I get one?

thanks
Good looking flies, come fish in guyana bro.

Why use Big Fly fiber over Squimpish fiber?
solely a matter of availability - the results and functionality of the fiber are nearly the same, albeit the Squimpish has a slight crinkle to it likely do to the sewing process of weaving into the mat, so it fills in a bit nicer.
Hi you should have a watertank so we can se the fly in action
Best regards
