Yeah, I gotta keep things real. Almost everything that I’ve built on the farm has some mistakes…some big, some small. I never let that stop me from trying again though 😉🍻
Olive made sure you were getting it done correctly until she wanted to play! Those milled wood posts are pretty darn special because of the different types of wood you milled. I love the oak! It’s going to be great to see this project come to life because of how it was designed and built!
I love all your videos Chad! Love the animals, especially the barn cats! Black cat rule! I am excited to see the progress, and how good you are making you and your darlings' life! Being a city mouse gone country is the most wonderful thing to be and experience in this lifetime. Blessed Be to you and your family n creatures under your care!
Wow!! I am really impressed that you are not afraid to do so much of the work yourself. Good for you, Chad you earn a lot of respect and admiration from us that watch you go to the length you go to develop your little farm and take such good care of your animals. And I love Bubbles. How is she doing? Is she getting friendlier with you. You have to work very hard at loving her because she got off to such a bad start with you. God bless you keep up the good work. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️❤️
Aww thanks, I love doing the building projects too. If it’s not fun it becomes work. Bubbles is the same, she has days where she comes over and let me pet her a bit but usually keeps her distance. I gave her a catnip packets and she must have played with it for hours. I like how she greets all the cats when they come back too.
That earth hand auger borer cuts through the soil like all the monthly bills that seem to be deducted from my regular pay cheque lol. Hope everyone & everything is keeping well down on Hidden Spring Farm 👍🏴
Im always impressed with everything you build. The saw mill shack will be perfect because you take such care to make sure you are doing everything correctly. 😊
I can't wait to see the finished product. I am curious how you learned these skills. I don't know what you do for a living and I'm not asking but I feel like you're some sort of engineer. Very impressive.
I'm just a guy that tried to fix an old house over 20 years ago and I keep getting better with bigger more complex projects and now all my basic skills are put to the test on this farm. I love what I'm doing too so that's make it all worthwhile.
We’re so inspired by you and your wife. Couple of retired nurses here and we settled in South Florida and we have fruit trees and small vegetable garden. Yours is amazing 💕
It’s so relaxing to watch you do the woodwork as you make it so easy! I used to do DIY and I would measure it so many times but still was nervous to chop everything off 😂😂. ❤❤❤
Yes any video showing builds take many clips over many weeks and edit them together. Most times I’m working on them behind the scenes while I’m filming an easier video such as vlogs.
I like the variety of projects and such that you put on your channel. Multi dimensional and appealing to all sorts of audiences and interests. Keep up the good work, best to you. 😊
Hey! We just purchased 20 acres a few months back. I am going to be moving soon with my husband. I wanted to say thank you. Not just for this channel and all of the content that helps me, but thank you for being a light to the world. You and yours show so much love to those animals and I cried along with you when you lost your Molly. Thank you so much for all that you do. If you only knew what your videos do for me....if only. I'm going to be starting a channel as well to help others and to show others that yes we can do this. I know nothing about it but I'm learning a lot from you and a few others. 😢 thank you. 🙏 going to be building shelters for my animals as well. 😮❤I cannot wait. Looks great so far. Most mills are made with green wood and they look great that way. You are doing a metal roof? Be careful doing the roof so rain water does not drip between the two buildings.

Funny enough, the shorter oak post was heavier than the taller maple post. That was a red oak too so it’s very nice actually.
