GREAT review!! Just catching up with your review now as it’s my birthday today Aubrey and I just ran a huge marathon PB!!! I ran 3h37min, which is a 24min PB for me!!! I am over the moon!!🌙 AND first woman in my category, 10th woman overall!!😆 Lots of tears at the finish line ... one of my Best birthday presents ever!!! 😃💪🏻🏃🏻♀💪🏻 AND because it was at Cognac (France) we all got bottles of Cognac for participating and Creme de Cognac for finishing and then I got another very Very VERY nice bottle indeed instead of a trophy for my first place!! And YES YES there was absolutely cognac shots at the aid stations too!! Those who came in at around the 5 or 6-hour mark had all well taken advantage of the opportunity!!😂😂😂
1) happy birthday Bev 2) well done for that marathon PB… that’s an amazing time. 3) happy birthday Bev 4) thank you so much for being a constant on my channel and supporting the videos as well as you do. I sincerely appreciate you. 5) happy birthday Bev 😂😂😂 6) to celebrate your birthday, can you please let me know what the fancy bottle was so I can get it too and have a taste. 7) happy birthday Bev 🎉🎉🥳🥳
@@AubreyRunning 😂😂 THANKS Aubrey!! Ohhh you like cognac?!! My good bottle is Bach Gabrielsen, American Oak, double maturation in Tennessee and French oak barrels! I'm gonna share all my bottles with my athletics club so I'll be very curious what everyone thinks, 'cause since they're all French, no doubt there'll be a few "experts"!! In any case they were sure impressed when I sent the photo to the group!!
I say this all the time but genuinely, responses like this are everything when you give your all to making these reviews. Thank you so much for taking time to respond in such a kind way. I appreciate your feedback, thank you
Yes! I tell my customers all of the time, how in 2023, it seems like they TRULY listened to runners’ feedback and you are seeing it in their latest iterations!
I can’t express to you how good it feels to get such feedback after putting in the work to produce these reviews. From the bottom of my heart, thank you
Homie chose violence early on in the vid talking about weight 😂 Definitely agree with you man. Not every high/max stack shoe can be an adidas evo. It’s a hard thing to accomplish but technology is definitely still on the come up.
Just had to say it like it is man. Some times reviewers rush to the easy point of weight without giving context and it’s not right. Yeah we know it’s heavy bro… but heavy compared to what shoe? And heavy because it packs what tech? Your opening line in this comment cracked me up
100th VOTE UP. :) Invested ON a pair. Oh both "oranges" look good side by side. Cloudsurfer7 and Cloudeclipse! Mate, these shoes are high. Looks good. But I still love my Cloudsurfer 7s.
I went with these because of your recommendation.. I don’t run, but I work 12 hr shifts and needed something that can support me. We will see how they do 😂
Great review Aubrey. I took your advice on the ON Cloudsurfer 7 and bought a pair. I took it for a 10 mile run on the treadmill without any joint pains. Now, I need your advice on another ON shoes that’s similar to the Cloudsurfer shoes, but slightly lower heel stack heights and lighter weight without any midsole arch. Keep these amazing reviews coming!
Yes, me too I find the drop way too steep from the heel to the forefoot on the Cloudsurfer! Have you tried the Cloudflow 4, or even Hoka Mach 5? Apparently the Cloudflow 4 sizes long so might wanna drop half a size!
Hey, very kind of you… so… I’ll be honest with you, I don’t really think there are any shoes that are like the Surfer 7 within the ON range that give you that kind of comfort and lower stack. Here is what I would recommend for you to try… Puma Deviate Nitro. I will be doing all my runs in that shoe this week and will share my review on Friday but that is one of the best I’ve tried apart from the usual shoes like Invincible 3, Nimbus 25 etc. In terms of the Cloud Flow 4, I only wear that shoe for short runs or use it at the gym. I don’t find it as cushioned as the others
ADIDAS SHOULD BE SENDING YOU SHOES YOUR ONE OF THE HOTTEST SHOE REVIEWERS ON RIGHT NOW UP THERE WITH BEST GREAT SET GREAT VIDEOS GREAT ADVICE HEY ADUDAS SEND THIS MAN SOME SHOES..WTHECK.
That’s such a kind thing to say. I genuinely believe that one day they will. One day they will know about my channel and see value in sending me the shoes.
Absolutely right about the weight! Imagine comparing them to the average shoe a few years ago. Love your reviews always. I loved my Cloudmonsters but I wear very heavily on the lateral side of my left foot and they only lasted 150miles. Do you think the CloudEclipse will wear better based on the sole and rubber placement? Thanks
It’s all dependent on your gait to be honest. I’ve never experienced that issue in the monster so I don’t think I will have any issues in this one. I will for sure report back if I do though. Thanks for the feedback about the review. I do t take such kind words for granted because they make it all worthwhile. Thank you so much.
I'm a heavyweight, 1m95 for 112kg, and coming for On-running it revolutionized my approach to running and continued to progress. Lot of say NB Asics or Nike, but at my feelings, On-running and Adidas are on my top.
I try a lot of brand, hasardly, and bad advice, or advice for "middleweight" The UltraBOOSTlight +500km they have almost never moved, the outsole has practically not worn out. Stable, comfortable over long runs (difficult adaptation after my habits at Nike with Vomero and Pegasus). I went for the Cloudvista, because when I run fast trails the concrete parts were difficult with the Terrex Agravic (the Terrex are fast on dirt/mud/technical/wet trails), after that I bet to go to the Cloudstratus2...and I'm going to go to CloudEclipse shortly. I really appreciate your reviews because you put above all the pleasure/sensation side rather than the performance side that we generally hear, and I am a French viewer.
These ones are true to size or what you can recommend? , I love the looks and most of the reviews say that it has a plush feeling so I like that too a lot.
Aubrey, your channel is awesome. The reviews are infectious! I have the Cloudsurfer 7 and it's amazing. My folks are going on a walking tour of Europe and I wanted to get my dad a pair of Ons. Do you think the Cloud Eclipse is right for something like that or is the stack height too much?
I think there are much better shoes out there for that. I would recommend the surfer 7 for sure but my number 1 go to shoe for comfort especially for walks is Nike Invincible 3
This is a decent shoe I believe, but nor for everybody. It is not plush, not bouncy, it feels nothing like the Cloudsurfer 7. The Eclipse is pretty wide so I could not really get a good heel lockdown - truth be told I used it just once for a 10k test ride. It feels more like a daily trainer and not a max cushioned shoe. Speedboard is making it really stiff. Overall it is not at all a bad shoe, but it's definitely on the firmer side of things and I believe it is not a very fast shoe either, but could be used for long easy and recovery runs, just don't expect it to be a fun ride.
I genuinely mean what I’m about to say so please take this exactly how I say it. Your comment is exactly what I love about running and running shoes. The same shoe can feel very different for 2 people. I totally respect, accept and agree with your personal experience and I’m thankful that you left this comment because we all need as many perspectives as possible.
It would be hard to tell and therefore even more difficult to advise. What I can confirm is that this shoe is much more comfortable ride compared to the monster. In terms of stability, with the Cloud Eclipse being the highest stack they have ever produced, I doubt that it would significantly more stable than the monster.
Thank you so much for your amazing reviews! I always get knee pain after long walks, which ON shoes provide more knee support and stability? (I don’t run)
Happy to help! As for the shoes, it’s tough to say because we are all different. The only thing I would say is the cloud surfer 7 is probably best for comfort. Stability will depend on you
Great review, never run in ON, I might have to give them a go, I am looking for a shoe that I can get 15 easy miles in, would these do the job? And boy, do they look good 👍🏻
I’m honest so I’ll say this… the look was the driving factor and then I tried them and was like… eeeyyyyyy these outperform my Monster and Cloud Surfer 7 in terms of comfort. Yes I’d highly recommend these. And thank you for the kind feedback
@@AubreyRunning quick question and I hope you don’t mind. Looking at sizing……currently have Puma DN2 in a 7 and a Boston 12 (most adidas) in a 7.5. How is the fit on the ON?
Fair enough comment for sure and please continue to offer people alternative options. The more suggestions the community gets, the better off we all are
I personally think they are different in their performances because the Monster is more versatile. If you were to only have one, I’d go with the mister because of its versatility but if your priority is cushion and max stack… then this shoe is an easy recommendation.
What’s the weight of them? And please no that I’m not saying it’s not heavy. I acknowledge that it is heavy! I’m just also saying that it’s heavy for the right reasons.
I’ve got a few comparisons coming up for sure but sadly won’t be doing the Switch because I don’t have that shoe unfortunately. Maybe one day Adidas will send me out some shoes to review
