My favourite new shoetuber! Really also enjoy your training videos, race vlogs and you hanging out with your kids in the forest. Keep it up! 2024 is your year. I just clicked over 200km in the OG Cloudmonster. Initially one of the best and most interesting / poppy rides, but now the foam is pretty much done. Don’t regret the purchase, just saying the magic is gone.
I have the same but over 2 pairs. I had the navy and the white colour ways. Thank you so much for your words too about my channel and me, I don’t take such support for granted. I truly appreciate it
This Shoes is the WORST hello "influencer" Just stop misleading people with your lies to get few dollars from this company. STOP SPREADING LIES oncloud is the worst shoes I have every wore or bought in my life they started to be squeaky after 2 months what a shame, now they will be thrown as it is so embarrassing to wear them I emailed their customer services, they told me the floor is causing it. well, no they squeak on every floor this is the worst shoes I have ever bought in my life I bought it in the UK and cost me 160£ for this price I could have bought two from my favourite comfy brand clark or ecco never again, I will never buy from this company again. wat a shame, expensive shoes for rubbish quality. my feet are hurting me, now I have an expensive shoes in the garbage bin with no use. it caused me feet pain, bruises and more! it does not provide support, and it makes your feet boiling. this shoes does not allow your feet to breath and it become smelly after few days of wearing it. never again I am so disappointed. I wish I had read the comments, I am hopeful my review will make you think twice before wasting your money.
u got one more sub mate. great review! love the transparency and details u talk about. also: the fiiirrree transitions and shooting angles. gets me glued to the screen. so muich fun.😊
I have the mizuno wave inspire 20 at the moment. But I'm after something that gives me a bit more forward motion. As a heavy runner (100+kgs) I need something that will still provide some good cushioning and support.
I guess that the most soft cushioning shoes from ON are the Cloud Surfer and Cloud Stratus 3. But these two can be a bit unstable, depending on your needs to support your overpronation. Hopefully, the stability and support of Monster 2 is closer to what the Cloud Eclipse offers : anyone could use neutral or overpronation needs runners !
It’s such a confusing mix for those not familiar indeed. I think the new monster 2 has a place in the On rotation. It’s an aesthetic cushioned firm ride to summarise
I’ve been thinking about the durability of the lacing system. You don’t need to outrun the lion - you only need to outrun the other folks on the safari. Same thing here. The laces don’t need to last forever - they only need to last longer than the midsole. I’ve got 400km in my Nimbus 25 and the lacing system is holding up fine. But the midsole is starting to show signs of compression and the outsole has some definite wear. I’ll be replacing the shoes when the midsole stops performing, and at this rate it looks like the laces will still be fine. Great review - keep them coming.
Great point, i am particularly specific about laces because I have had a few where the laces have broken. Granted it’s. Common issues where the fit needs to be really negotiated and you pull at the laces. I am actually seeing the eyelets in the Saucony ride 17 lifting up because they have similar structures and I that’s definitely not outliving the outsole
I know I say this a lot but you rly are a master of your craft with video production man. It’s impressive and every time I start watching one of your vids I’m like 😲😯😲😯
Mad please believe me when I tell you that o don’t take it lightly. It means everything to me to get such feedback. Thank you for the support you continue to show me and my channel
Absolutely, I think it has a place but also think there are other On shoes that do what it tries to be much better and more affordable. It’s one of their best lifestyle shoes for sure.
The problem I have is this Aubrey. Recently I bought a pair of Adidas Prime X strung. I put them on and the fit felt amazing. Went for a couple of shortish runs, sort of okay. A bit of rubbing toes, but thought it will break in. Then on a 28k long run, the blisters are killing me, my feet are covered in blood. I have to walk home...So when your followers say that shoe reviews over 5-20k are okay they are not. My first impression video of the Adidas Prime X strung., that is after 43k, is it hurts a lot!
I think this is a valid point, I really do and I argue with it. I would also have to say… shoes are highly personal. I have both prime x strung 1 & 2 and they are literally some of my best running shoes and I have 100K in the PX2 and 45K in v1. Essentially I get your point but initial reviews matter! That reminds me, it’s time for a 100K review on the PX2
I love my nimbus 25's, by far comfiest everyday sneaker ive had in a long time. I see you liked the N25, how would you rate these cloud monsters against the N25?
Hey Aubrey, how does the Cloud Eclipse fit in terms of width, I wear an extra wide 1080 v13 but I’d love to get into an On Running shoe! Do they run narrow?
These have been said to have more volume than usual. But for me personally, I find that this show fits really really well for me but others have said it has too much volume
Finally figured out what you are getting at in 2 videos about the Nimbus 25 lacing...very strange hypothetical complaint...did you have any actual issues with durability (like the Puma Fast R that you still recommended on your top list lol)?? I have 4 used N25 pairs 2x500km and 2xjust over 200km...no issues with laces but one pair got a hole above a big toe
Not in the Nimbus 25 but other shoes yes I have. I might actually do a video on it. I have also noticed my Saucony ride 17 is lifting up and it similar laces.
Which shoe would you choose as a daily between the monster 2, eclipse, invincible 3, superblast/novablast and prime x strung 2. I like max cushion with some spring and response at the same time. Gravitating towards monster or superblast and only going away from prime for the crazy price.
I have indeed, not what I normally do but 3 runs in total. 6K easy, 5K steady and 4K with strides. I would also say that’s what’s meaningful to me in terms of my running. I’m restarting structured running soon which I will share following a fitness test this Sunday based on my Garmin watch.
That would be cool! Honestly, it means so much when you get such feedback from peers. I can’t tell you what a vote of confidence this is! Truly, thank you and let’s please work on the collaboration
Usually, the weight is a deal breaker to me. It wouldn't matter for the first few miles, but at 308 grams, you would really feel the weight going longer distances. As Edd Bud would say, "it's going to be a nay for me."
How many miles do you have in this shoe, Aubrey? Does it break in, improve after 50k etc? You speak about durabilty, but you are just guessing? All theses shoes with 5k on them, please send them to me!
😂😂😂 I would never guess and it’s exactly why in the video I tell you about the Ks I’ve put in the shoe. I even tell you in my reviews on things that I will circle back on. But yeah.. to answer your question, 15K across 3 runs
Meta speed sky will do better job for run… lighter… more cushion and boost 10% performance….monster 1 is easier casual shoes… speed board helps and give forward rolling… eclips has good coushion but no forward rolling. Lack speed board is an issue. I would like to see carbon board full length on monster… that will make it interesting.
@@AubreyRunning wow, super light, expensive, but interesting. I was about to take your advice to get a pair.. but I have to wait for restocking. Tokyo marathon is just at corner, every race gear is sold out now. I just tried one in shop for m2. It’s heavy and firm( the filling under speedboard not only added weight but a firmer feel). It does give more cushion on toe landing. I didn’t feel much bounce but a more solid firm feel. It’s a lot different from m1 and I think it turned to be a different kind of thing. It’s not bad but different. I would rather keep the old m1 for casual walk rather than a heavier m2. Every brand is moving forward for more cushion. The trend is killing a lot good design.
It all depends on what you’re expecting to get out of these shoes. Some will want cushioning and other propulsion. For me… I find a good balance of both in the eclipse.
Just watched theirs and you have to respect their views for sure as they are an authority in the space. On the other hand though… the fit will be highly personal and I love the fit I have in mine. I wear a UK9.5 and love the fit of this upper. I do have other criticisms though
on monster is a no monster heavy clunky shoes with a price increase I'm sorry..on this one..i don't like there logic.nor price...agree with eclipse and surfer..i dont get this shoe or on logic. fan boy or not..
@AubreyRunning agree just think if the slanted cut outs in surfer and eclipes where put into monster it would be a banger of a shoes I believe. the price yikes also there are alot better options for lower price or same.
Cloudmonster 2 looks the same. with MORE added Material.. and an increase in price. HARD PASS. Very Happy with my CLOUDECLISPE. Wanna know why they call it the Eclipse? Simple. Because it TRULY does Eclipse both MONSTERS. Still above them regardless of the "redesign" of the Monster. HARD FACT.
@@AubreyRunning : Mate, I work in a Busy Trauma ward where the majority of my co workers wear HOKAs I swear I can pretty much identify every model that each staff member is wearing.. just to humour myself quietly. These shoes play a different role in any rotation but I have to say that the Nike invincible 3 remains my favourite daily trainer
I gotta try on some of these shoes soon-- they're not my style I think is my hangup. but you never know until you try things on.
I see what you e done there
