stock muffler from 545xp has much less baffle in it and bolts up perfectly to 550xp mk2 and is easily opened up with drilling.. save stock muffler in case you need to take it in on warranty claim 👍👍

@@Boost_Addict that's awesome to hear. If it's what I hope for then the 572 xp is next on the list. I ordered a couple new bars and chains for the 550. It came with the 20 inch but I bought a 18 inch and extra chains. I figured the 20 might be a bit much bar for it but we will see

Have to ask, you kept it in high idle for the 5 minutes. That would make a difference in your low jet adjustment compared to kicking it out of high idle then letting it run for 5

So I noticed the HI or High idle is sampling and not running a a high rpm on the 550xp mk2 , the 562xp on high idle is spinning chain and idling at like 2k lol I do both for 550xp mk2 reset , 5min idle on HI and 5 min idle on regular idle . Great question thanks for watching!

My 550 mark 2 slightly turns the chain when in high idle, more of a “loppy” idle. My 550xp mark 2 is fully ported and muffler mod from red beard. Absolute ripper.

    Oopened muffler up?
    What those do,gettin more revs?
    What about longlivity?

    • @Boost_Addict
      @Boost_Addict  3 месяца назад

Yes the muffler is ported internally . No more baffell restricting air flow. Saw has only 40 hr on it . Getting the heat out of the saw will make it last longer . We shall see !

So step further away from the saw so it's easier for us old buzzards to hear what you are saying please. :)

    Such a stupidly overcomplicated design.
Tried a stihl? So much easier. Not to mention lighter, simpler design, easier maintenance and a massive aftermarket support system.
How's modding that muffler? Tried a Stihl?
    How's upgrading those pathetic dawgs?
    Tried a Stihl?
Where were the components of that saw sourced from?
    Looked at Stihl?
Husqvarna has completely steered away from the professional consumer. I love the 550. But damn, it just isn't a 346.
Sealed bearings? Chinese sourced parts? Heavy and bloated? Overly complex design choices? Crank stuffers? Garbage tin-alloy potato muffler? No answer for the 500i that weighs less than a 572xp but with 585 power... no answer for the 400c that weighs ounces more than a 550, but with 572 power? C'mon!!
Husqvarna is making all the wrong choices.
    Ugh!

Dang man who 💩 ed in your cereal this morning . I have tried Stihl , let’s see about 4 and wasn’t impressed . This saw is for light work , Limbing and small bucking . Id be up for a friendly race your 500i against my 394/395XP I’m building let’s do it ! To each their own man .

      apologize for being so sour.
I truly feel that Husqvarna let us down with the "5" series.
They are heavy for their displacement, overly complicated engineering, Chinese parts, factory defects, and the sales numbers undeniably reflect it.
Will any healthy 394xp beat a 500? Absolutely!!
But remember, there's over 3 pounds of difference in weight for a half horsepower.
My point was that Husqvarna went away from everything that made them so great... And it is frustrating. Why is there no answer to the 500 from husky? Even their 70cc saw is heavier than Stihl's 80cc saw, yet the 500 keeps pace with Husky's 85cc saw. It's... Sad.
      This is Husqvarna!! What happened?
      Why?!?
I think the 550xp is a great little saw. I truly do, and proudly own one. But where's the innovation husky was renowned for? The interchangeablility? The pushing of technology?
      Gone.
Stihl has the 662 coming, rumors of a 700i coming, and Husqvarna is completely idle. There's nothing in their pipeline for upcoming models... And they're losing customers.
