I feel this video. I just failed CEH on Friday. I took a CEH bootcamp class (cause I didn't have the work experience) on v10, things happened and I didn't get to test right away, then the test changed to v11. i knew the exam changed but still took my chance cause my test voucher was about to expire. I was not confident at all while taking the test cause they asked a LOT of questions about tools that I had never heard of. still...ended up only failing by 7 questions. gonna shift focus for a while and do eJPT, then hopefully the 3rd party study material for v11 will be out and I'll try again.

Well said. The v9 and v10 is the same. CEH does not make anyone a certified hacker, it's designed to give you a basic view into hacking. It should be called basic steps into hacking.

I failed mines on Oct 13.. For the same reason! I had studied super hard with v10 material...but when i got to actually taking the test, by 6-7 questions in, i was not recognizing none of this stuff at all bruh. I ended up guessing the rest of the way through:( which is what you dont want to be doing.. FYI So next year i will have to hit it hard again. but this time with the right shit..lol

I failed my ceh v11 exam today. Actually I got ceh v10 materials and I prepared for that during the year and then test changed to v11 and before 1 month of my exam I got to that I have to give ceh v11. This really sucks. I prepared one month to pass and I tried my best but I fail for 8 marks.

Hello sir, I'm about to take ec council's Certified Cyber Technician(CCT). But the reddit reviews are so bad I'm scared. They're calling them a scam, and that you shouldn't take any of their courses. The original price is $999 but i can get it now at $199. I still struggled to get that $199. But i don't want to waste that money sir. I couldn't find one good reviews on Reddit. I'm really confused and the time is almost up. Any advice for me please?

It’s always legal until you get caught lol for companies you have to list everything you’re going to do on their network and they have to approve it first. If you don’t do that then you can get in trouble big time

Today i failed in my CEHv10 exam...i prepared so hard and gone through as many of the questions available online and still my result was not satisfying...the type of questions i prepared from internet are completely different from the real ceh questions, and also there were many questions which are completely new to me even after going through all the study material provided by ec council

Hey I have a weird situation. I'm taking a course at my community College for free that deliberately prepares you for the CEH and I have the CEH book and ecouncil lab access. Yesterday comptia offered $50 to do their comptia pen+ beta test for $50. If I pass i get the cert. Of course I bought it cause you can't be any comptia test for 50 bucks. But question is do you think I can use the ceh as a study guide and course material that would prepare me for pen+? also I'm not trying to overwhelm myself cause I'm trying to get the entry splunk cert also. I scheduled the exam at home, far out as possible. End of June. I'll prolly end up rescheduling
Ceh material won’t prepare you for the ceh because they’re two different test. Ceh attempts to teach you ethical hacking but it fails at it meanwhile pentest+ is a legitimate pentester certification.

There is no "Entry Level cert" in Cyber Security. Even the base line Security+ requires that you know A+ and Network+. The CEH is mostly only needed if the company you work/want to work for requires it. OSCP, eJPT, Pentest+ if you want to go red team, CYSA+ , GSEC, if you want blue team. Given that you have or know Security+ or SSCP.
Did you say version 7?? 😳FYI..As of May 2021, we're on version 11 now. 😁 and you will fail with just the book. Its 4 hours long and 80% of is simulation; meaning actually doing the work, not solely checking a box for multiple choice. It's NOT a "learn theory and memorize" test at all. You WILL need to take a course that has hands on labs included if you want success. Good luck everyone. 🤗

@TechTualChatter I'm taking it now. Its down to you how much you learn. You can mix theory with practical by completing labs in accordance to thd blueprints. I know it's multiple choice but you have a year to take it so its enough time to dedicate time you learning the actual understanding of the tools rather than just what the answers will be. Understanding is always better than knowing an answer but not knowing how to implement it in a real life scenario.

I took this 4 years ago so it’s possible that they raised their prices. I would say just focus on the things you’re having trouble with in order to pass.

I believe the eJPT will prepare you better for real experience than CEH will. I’m currently studying for my eCIR as well.

No it’s not
It’s supposed to require 3 years of experience to take it.
