Congratulations on finishing almost 30 years Eric!!! This is such a great song, especially with how well the orchestra works to support the choral parts!! As for the easter egg.... 🤔 I might need to investigate with the help of twitch chat 😂 🎵
Thanks my friend. I wouldn’t dwell on the Easter egg too much. You have to have either worked at my bank twenty+ years or have gone into a branch of the bank and obsessively noted the uniform (clue). None of my colleagues have even got it - all too young!
@@EricsHomeOrchestra I am a cellist. My school orchestra does a massive Christmas and Hanukah celebration every year so during this event we have 4 choirs, 2 bands, 1 Jazz band, and 2 full string orchestras. So we have a mighty ensemble for the occasion.
Well, THIS has to be your masterpiece! It's such fun, and, of course, the singing and orchestra are superb. I have hit the 'like' button 100 times but it sadly only registers one like. As for your 'easter egg' could it have to do with the man counting with his digits and who doubles as the drummer? An accountant? Enjoy your retirement and BRAVI to the wonderful orchestra and singers! PS: Congratulations on your 1000 subs. Take a bow because your uploads deserve to be rewarded.
Thank you so much! I wanted this one to be special so I’m over the moon you think this is a good one! That wasn’t the Easter egg, but I was in banking so you were close on that front. I will post a comment in a few days if nobody else gets it (you kind of had to work there, or be an extremely loyal customer to notice it).
@@EricsHomeOrchestra I had to come back and watch it again: the out-of-place TV dinner table, counting the bars, the console and so my last and final guess is an actuary. I shan't hold my breath.😊🙃
@petelovesbevsills specifically within the bank I did credit risk modelling. So you were very close. The Easter egg though remains to be spotted and I think nobody will end up getting it.
@petelovesbevsills Someone got it! But not one of my colleagues after all. The tie that the chorus are wearing - I was handed that very tie on my first day. It was part of the branch uniform of Halifax bank (UK) in the 90s. I wasn't in a branch but new starters still got one, and we used to wear them now and again. It's still in perfect condition.
@@EricsHomeOrchestra Aah, Eric! I looked at the neckwear and wondered why nine of you wore neckties, two had collars, and the rest wore bowties. Well done to the competent sleuth! I'd better not pursue a career with MI6 methinks. :)
That's an interesting take on the song, usually there would be a female choir singing, hearing only male voice(s) works but is definitely different. I guess we're only accustomed to hear famous songs or melody one way (the most "popular" one either for the audience or for the musicians). The string really compensate the lack of female voices (I'm a layman in terms of music so forgive me for not being precise enough) and this makes me think that your arrangement is very well adjusted. On a side note, l like how on the upper part of the image we see drama queens, and the mood gets calmer as we go down, finishing with a very concentrated and patient priest :)
Thanks as always for watching and commenting sir. Yeah, different is one way of putting it! I adjusted the choral parts for three part male chorus instead (I tried four part but there isn’t enough space within the range to squeeze four in). Obviously not as good as the original, but I think it kind of works and is definitely on brand for my channel if you know what I mean 😂. Thanks again for watching 👍🙏
@TheWolphren Wow you actually got it! Yes the tie that the choir is wearing was part of the Halifax branch uniform in the 90s. Even though I wasn’t in a branch, I was handed that very tie on my first day. We didn’t have to wear it, but I sometimes did. It’s still immaculate. Thanks for playing along!
BRILLIANT I can't love this enough in one lifetime.
Oh thank you so much! 🙏😊
@@EricsHomeOrchestra I discovered you through the Anvil Chorus you did . My grand daughter ; pre-teen , was very amused.
Oh that’s great! I aim for a bit of humour 👍 and that’s lovely to think I get to play for youngsters. Thanks again for supporting me 🙏
The bar keeps raising!!! I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again. This is my favorite peice!
Wow thanks so much for such encouragement! Thanks for watching 👍

Cheers to you Eric! Wonderful work, and I hope you had a lovely last day.
Aww thank you so much. What a lovely comment. Yes I had a great day! 😊👍
Wow ❤ amazing 🤩
Gosh thanks. What a nice compliment from a real professional singer!
So awesome! I currently am playing this piece in school orchestra and it was very nice to see an accurate rendition.
That’s great Jack! What instrument do you play? Are people singing too or are you doing an instrumental only version?

Is it the clergical collar as the Easter egg?
I am changing my guess as I read you were in banking. Is it the tie, was that part of your uniform?

Actually your first guess wasn’t THE Easter egg I meant but it is ANOTHER Easter egg I forgot about. So right on both counts! 👏
